This is a good thing though. The coaster is not "stuck". It's doing what it's supposed to do!! If there is anything wrong or malfunctioning the coaster will stop on many break blocks to PREVENT any accidents...this is showing that the coaster is safe and working how it should!!!
No one said anything dangerous happened. You're strapped to a roller coaster that is not moving which is what you got on it for, so in no other term, you're stuck haha. Let's not turn it into a semantic game.

This happened again on June 25th this year. I wanted to go on the ride, but then I realized that it was late at night and I wasnt in the mood for an intense roller coaster. So, me and my family went on the line for super duper looper. When we reached the front of the line, we looked at sky rush and it was stopped at that exact spot. We were so relieved that we didn’t go sky rush because that could have been us since the lines were about the same length.

Never did find out why, they just came up and got us out of the train and we had to climb down the stairs on the scaffolding.

If you stopped on a block brake early in the ride, the ride probably experienced a cascade stop, it's explained in El Toro ryan's problematic coasters space mountain video
It doesn't have to have anything to do with the chain lift. It could be a malfunction with any other section of the track, so the ride could not continue. The train could not back track because of the anti rollback.

I wish I went back to Hershey Park years ago. We went as kids. My dad knew someone that worked in a Hershey store and we got chocolate because the store would get rid of older non sold items.
I'd never bean on a ride that got stopped or breakdown before this or something similar would be Imagine if it was stood still or breakdown upside down that would definitely put myself right off Never experienced none of it before and I don't want too then again they should have test these rides for 24 hours too make sure everything is all ok
Not because they don’t want us to see it, I saw another video literally almost the same as this but they had a voice over explaining what happened, it is just a matter of finding out, most likely if you ask a staff on running the ride they will tell you what is happening or the park will announce what is going on if it was something as severe as this, but the fact the chain snapped and everyone is ok is one way to show just how safe rollercoasters are meant to be in case of something happening
This isbobviously meant to happen on rides but trust that stop must have really hurt cause a stop on a cable lift hurts you are jolted into the lap bars its happened to me not on this ride but still and it hurt badly

Like Deadshot Entertainment Leader said this isn’t an accident. Every coaster that has a chain or cable lift hill has something called an anti rollback system. The system is in a shark fin like shape pointing down at the ground, and on the right of the cable you see grooves, that’s for the upside down shark fin that can move backwards but not forwards. Getting it caught on the grooves if the cable or chain lift breaks down.

It can’t. This is a standard ride evacuation. It’s impossible for it to just start out of nowhere. The ride crew is trained for this.
