  • Weather in Oahu has been cloudy, some showers, and windy. Since we did not hike last week, we decided to hike a tough trail. We hiked Puu Ohikilolo. This was my second hike but DO NOT RECOMMEND to the others. There are several hazardous and dicey spots that require lots of scrambling.
Its trail head is inside the Keaau Homesteads Road. It was secured when we started, so we had to park my car on Farrington Hwy. It was close to 7.5 miles (ESTIMATED) with 3527 ft elev gain. My GPS was turned off on the ridgeline on the way back !
I do not recommend this trail to the others. There are a few class 3 areas. Class 3 means lots of scrambling with open cliffs. If one falls, it will be fatal.
Mahalo for watching my video. Please subscribe for more Oahu hiking trail guide.

There’s a green cabin up there as well

Thanks for mentioning it. Yes, it's a very nice cabin that I saw when I hiked the trail for the first time 2 years ago. This time, we skipped it since the clouds were moving in and out constantly.
