I've been an aluminum fabricator / boat builder for over 45 years and I can honestly say that your skills and workmanship are second to none! WELL DONE!!!
Thank you very much for the kind words Bruce! 😊🙏
But the camera (and the cameraman 😉) doesn’t always show the mistakes and imperfections. I’m got plenty of little dings and places where I messed up🤪
But overall I’m happy with how it’s coming out.
Love your signature touch. It wouldn't be Joe's without it.
Such a nice truck camper. You can be sure nobody else has one like this!
Thank you so very much! It is definitely one of a kind because I rarely make plans and just build as I go…. So there is quite literally no set of plans that goes with this 🤪
And the closer I get to figuring a sleeping setup, the more I realize I haven’t left myself a whole lot of wiggle room…. Which only helps to guarantee that nobody will copy it and it’ll stay one of a kind🤦♂️🤣
Yes, I like seeing the "random" things you do. Never know what might spur my next idea or help a current project.
Thank you Charles!😊🙏
I received my BLUETTI 1800 and have been using it to run my CPAP machine overnight, and it appears that I can get 3 nights on a charge even with the humidifier. This will be great for camping. It sure recharges fast!
Looking good Joe! Nice craftsmanship as always. We too have a Bluetti AC 180. Serves our purposes. Thanks for sharing sir
Thank you! And it’s great to hear that you like your AC180. I’ve had the AC200 for a couple years and like it. But the AC180 fits in this space a little better and so far so good!
Coming along nice!
Thank you! Still a good amount to go but so far so good😊🙏
Your work is just beautiful 😊. Doug and I are just amazed at all you can do! We thank God for you, CZcams friend!
Thank you Marcelle! Those are incredibly kind words….
Any talents that I do have are because of Him and I pray the Lord blesses you and Doug as well😊🙏
Wow the camper is looking good 😁👍
Thank you!
The inside looks fantastic- just as good as the outside. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you Sis!
Joe, another great video, thank you for sharing
Well I thank you very much and I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it😊🙏
I love seeing you use the Ryobi green tools like what I use. That's some very nice craftsmanship!
Thank you very much! I like them too. Been using them for well over 20 years and I believe they are a great value/price tool. Some folks will try and knock on them from time to time…. But I just remind them that the screw doesn’t care what drove it, the wood doesn’t care what turned the blade that cut it, etc,. And I built more than a few things with them😉
They get the job done and I think they do a great job!
Excellent achievement (as usual).
Just got to hope that your next truck is the same size.
Well, luckily the world doesn’t look like it’s getting any better anytime soon. So I’ll probably be driving this till the wheels fall off🤪😭😂
Looks awesome brother..... Keep it up
Thank you Dan!! 😊🙏
Very impressive! You’ve got some great ideas backed with the skills to make them a reality. Nicely done as usual!
Joe,I will never build most of what you've done. You are good with tools.and the planning it entails. Thank you for the many great videos! Please.continue with them.
Great job on this project. Enjoy your videos!!
Thanks 🙏🏻😎
Thank you very much Randall😊🙏
Oh my god , I like. You do excellent work
Thank you so much Martha! 😊🙏
Thank you for sharing
You bet! And thank you for checking it out!
Thanks for calling the Bluetti a power station and not a generator!!
Very cool!
Only slightly over engineered!
But totally makes sense….
I always over engineer to make up for what I lack in design sophistication 🤪
Very interesting project
Thank you😊🙏
Nice 🤠
Thank you!
@@homesteadonomics your welcome 😁
It's getting there.👍👍👍
Keep 'em coming.🍿🍿🍿
It sure is! Not quite at the rate I’d like…🤪…. But I think I just underestimate the time of these kinds of projects🤦♂️😂
Nice work! Love the aluminum trim.
Thank you! I’ve become sort of addicted to it for plywood projects as it protects the edges of the plywood but also because I love the look😍
Looking good, Joe.
Thank you Uncle Beaver! It’s taking a bit longer than I anticipated but so far I’m happy with how it’s coming out!😊🙏
NICE
Have you ever considered doing classes at your place on the skills you show, like welding and such?
Honestly it’s something I’ve considered a LOT. I enjoy the hands on, face to face style of education/learning very much. And it’s been asked so many times. But my wife has concerns of how to vet people to make sure no ‘weirdos’ got signed up….haha Which I think would actually be an extremely rare possibility. But being that it is at my home and where my girls are also at, it is a valid concern.
Now if I was a single guy with no family at home I’d be all in.
But I don’t want to rule it out completely as I know other folks have done classes and workshops at their properties and have had great experiences and many of the attendees end up making lots of friends too.
So I guess ‘todays’ answer is no…. But I’m glad you brought it up because it is something I think I’d enjoy doing😊👍
🤔
Great video. I find it interesting that you had good service from the Bluetti as another man I follow on you tube had issues with his in the 120 volt operation, he said it would not power his small chop saw. He did say it worked fine as a 12 volt power supply
I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had good experience with both units. As a matter of fact I was just using my AC200 the other day to transfer water on the back of my property because I didn’t want to be this one all scratched up for the video. But I’ll probably be showing it again when I add to this camper and be able to show it in operation powering the 12V lights, etc
Nicely done Joe! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
Thank you very much Fred! 😊🙏
I just purchased the ac180 for home backup and additional power in our teardrop camper
That’s awesome! I think it’ll make for a nice unit for your camper and also for some emergency back up too.
Thanks for this update. I noticed that you door opens out rather than in; a small insecurity opportunity to lock someone inside by closing the truck tailgate. If trapped inside can you get out through a window or can you remove door hinges from inside?
Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother
Yes, that is something that will be addressed for sure. Most especially when I get to thinking about the sleeping arrangement aspects. My initial thoughts are to have a bar that slides out from the lower section of the base that can be retracted from the inside. But I’m not 100% of that design just yet. But until then I’ve got other options. The door window can have the screen removed to reach out and work the tailgate handle, the side windows could be kicked out, or also the pop up roof can be opened to climb out from as well.
@@homesteadonomics Relief knowing you’ve expended some skull sweat thinking about you escape options. Be sure to practice that maneuver before leaving home and teach your family too just in case you are incapacitated and they are trapped.
Preaching to the choir maybe. I'm more concerned about the future 50 caliber mount this build may need to support in the future. It will probably handle it though.
@@rob8823 😂 don’t think I haven’t thought of it….. and adding some killdozer armor for this clown world we’re living in right now🤪
Great video Joe! Did I miss it in an earlier video... it would be really neat to watch a video of you loading the camper into the truck and back out onto it's stand. Curious as to you get it on and off.
I’ve got a video where I build the camper jacks and show loading and unloading it. It just the frame at that point, but it’s the same process😊👍
Now just add a disco ball and some spot lights and it should be done.
Haha….i don’t know if I’d have enough room to use that disco ball properly then🤪
Thank you for showing the build. Really nice. What’s plan for pop up roof?
I see you’re a fan of Ryobi tools. Been looking at replacing some of my older “ Master Mechanic “Nicad battery tools that don’t hold charge. Been using corded tools and battery pack to work on my 3acres.
Yes I’ve been using ryobis for over 20 years now. Was given a starter pack by my in laws when I got married and have used them over since. I find them to be the best value/price out there. Especially the batteries…. BUT you gotta shop when Home Depot has the Ryobi days. There is a usually a $99 offer for free tool with purchase of a 2x4ah battery set.
It’s about time😂😂😂
Better late than never😂🙏
Everything you build here is exceptional quality. I really enjoy watching the projects. Is the custom camper trailer still in operation?
Awesome job. What’s your next project?
Well, there will certainly be a few more videos on the camper…. Solar, 12V, bed conversion, etc,…
But I’d like to tackle some tower things I’ve been wanting to get too. So maybe a garden ahade structure, or one for the goats…. But I’ve also got some shop things that have been on my mind too… oh yes, I’ve been meaning to do a livestream too. So I’ll have to think on it a bit.
So I guess nothing super specific yet🤪
Obrigado pelo vídeo.
Thank you for checking it out😊🙏
Can you post again the thickness of the aluminum sheet you used
I used the scraps from the exterior which were 0.040 and 0.050 aluminum
Well done again! You mentioned solar on the roof in the future. Will that be as the same unit as the trailer you built in the past?
Thank you! As for the solar….I’m not sure just yet. But probably a 200w or 100w solid panel. On The travel trailer project I used two 185w sunflare flexible panels. But I think that’d be overkill on something like this as the travel trailer has the fridge to run and needs the extra.
But i haven’t made a definitely decision just yet…. So the options are still open. Which sometimes isn’t a good thing for my mind🤪
Question. Will you be able to charge the power supply from your truck while driving, maybe from the seven pin bumper outlet? Good video.
So I have thought about that as I’m eventually going to have to wire in a separate plug so I can plug the camper in as well as the trailer. And I’d route that up into the inside part of one of the truck bed sides.
But I think the future solar panel on the roof is going to do well to keep it topped off.
So I guess I’ll probably need to evaluate the fuses that control the trailer power and see if it might create too much of a draw when the camper is being towed or not
Hey I thought of you immediately. My friend is suggesting, after I saw it said vegas you need $92,000/yr to live, as a single man, that I instead buy some land and plop a "tiny house" on it, and showed me a Shed, converted into a tiny house. What do you think? and of course I don't have your skills, but I guess I could watch your stuff to learn it for real this time?
Thanks for the great vids sharing your experience. I am Just looking for a link concerning the upper lights on the sides. Heinz, Germany
👍👍
Seeing that your door opens outward, I worry that you’ll be in there sleeping and someone will come along and close your tailgate and you’ll be stuck.
Yes, it’s something that I’ve been thinking about. And when I get to making the sleeping arrangement I’ll address that. Probably a bar or something slides from inside to prevent the tailgate from being closed. But in the interim I can reach through the door window and open the gate latch. Or if need be I can exit out the roof pop up or side windows.
Hi
I liked BLUETTI AC 180.
How much it is?
Is it available in Oman?
Thanks
Your friend
Samir from Oman
Glad to hear it! You can check out the Amazon site or the Bluetti site with these links and see all they have to offer. The one in this video is the AC180 and the one I reviewed a couple years ago is the AC200. I like them both😊🙏

🚨SCAM ALERT🚨
Not authentic Homesteadonomics video, NO GOATS! 🐐🐐🐐🐐
😂🤣 you can hear them screaming for their treats when I was touring the Bluetti unit😉
And where is that horse??? Looking forward to an update, or was that temporary?
Blueetti sounds like a chepo version of Blue Yetti and is awkward to pronounce
