7:37 Andrew reckons is is a control arm linkage to farm machinery or a tractor. There was a full ring on the end to move a control. Used on gearboxes for instance. 13:28 is the wheel from a toy train, like Hornby OO Gauge, I had one as a kid, the flanged edge is the key. Made of Zinc. 18:32 might be the girth buckle from a big ploughing Hoss. 19:11 looks like a pot mend? Well done on the Hammy. Great to watch these comparison videos. I see a lot of people in a quandary over "I've got a 800, should it get the 900"? I can put them straight and send them your way.
People say it just update they put on the 800 what drops affect of the machine they done what Apple done with update to make older phones run slower , so the 900 just has better update as the 800 is same but with older update .
Got my 900 friday, im used to the 600 but not had chance to get out with the 900 yet so this was very informative, im looking forward to using it at Detectival coming up , good video cheers 👍
Great video as I've come to expect from you. I have the 900 and am loving it so far. Vdi is a little dodgy on the beach, but going off sound alone it seems to do really well. I have to say, I'm not very impressed with 11" coil on either 800 or 900 when it comes to pinpointing. I spend a lot of time digging something out of side wall or several inches to one side because of pinpointing being off.
Mate everything is going up..its called inflation. Detectors have only been going up in price even ones that were a few hundred less a few years ago.. you won't see them come down in price ever. Just try get one on a sale Or something
You should be able to find enough to buy a Simplex with your ace. Then find enough with yout Simplex to get what you want. Just go where people lose gold rings. Will only take a few.
How can you claim "the metal detecting technology is so advanced now" when it has not changed except for marketing gimmicks and random numbers on the digital display? Minelab is already in trouble for being dishonest about 50% more power in Monticore. Analog beats it any day of the week.
I think if we were to take one advancement over analog - that being multi frequency, it answers your question. If you can’t see the advantages and changes that a multi frequency machine can offer in an evolutionary sense, then you probably shouldn’t be metal detecting. That’s just one example. It feels you’re coming from a subjective place, preferring analog - rather than objective. Which is perfectly fine, as it’s your preference. But The facts are there in the advancement of the hobby, no matter your personal preference. Ps. The numbers aren’t ‘random’.
I walk behind my dad with a tesoroTejon and him with the d2 and and find coins he missed. The beep and dig rule. No numbers no tones no missing targets because you guys depend on numbers and tone

Not good information at all. Firstly, the 900 has a much better build quality. More coverage on the VDI, better separation, recovery and depth, as well as other additional features. It’s not massively better than the 800 by any means, but it’s certainly better and not the same machine at all. Silly comment.
I have had no problem minelab 800. I have used it for 4 years no problems. I got the 900 and there is no difference in performance at all. Same depth. Just all hype to get you to spend 400 more.
The two pieces of brass look awfully like part of a horses bit that has been broken, there should be the other half there that is the complete piece of what you just found . Old guys know this sort of stuff Hey!! Cheers Mate

Ive been looking at an 800. But now im confused as the 700 looks good. Is there a comparison between the 700 v 800 v 900????? Any help????

Can you swap coils and see if the 800 performs better on hard one way targets with the 900 coil

Spray paint a 2 to 3 inch dot in your yard. Dig a plug there. Drop a coin in and cover back up. Use your pinpoint to see where it lines up with coil

The price of new machines are unbuyabley high. I’m stuck on my Garrett ace 250 I’ll persevere till the price comes down hopefully 🙏 😢

GM 1000 nox sdc2300 have all gone up in price over the last 5 years... they won't come down especially with inflation that's hit last 6 -12 months
