You couldn’t be more wrong. Go and watch her best vocals, she knows how to belt up to a G5, use vibratto, do ascending runs and support her lower register. But it just doesn’t fit her voice. She shines doing this kind of music and using her lighter and sweeter tone, and that’s okay. I don’t know anyone with such a beautiful, melismatic, unique and sweet tone as Selena. Criticize her if you want, but going to her posts and leaving hate or negative comments is very sad and says a lot about the kind of person you are. Also, if you don’t know the artists voice and how they’ve perform through the years, don’t talk about it, it just makes you look stupid.

If you watch her home videos where she sings in a comfortable environment you hear her vocals and her soothing tone she always has. I just think its really hard on her body to perform her songs after so many years of having lupus (which is known to make your body much weaker).
