- #cowgirls #farmlife #dairyfarm #dairymilk It’s always a touch bittersweet when the seasons change, however based on today’s crazy pace this next faze of farming isn’t going to be a walk in the park!
Bring on the fall!!!🐄🚜🇺🇸🍁❤️
Taylor is the best farm-hand that Brent could ever have. They work well together, like family.
"can i take it apart 😏?". Most would chuck it in the trash. That lil question says a lot about you. You two are awesome!!
These are simply a celebration of Taylor and Brent who have done a great job throughout the past season.
I think Brent is a great boss, having an amazing worker like Tay! she is pretty wauww
Thank you for sharing your experience with us all. Keep them coming 😊
Hi, use distilled water for the batteries - tap water will rush the destroy of the batteries (has minerals and so in it...). Bester regards, alf
Hi Taylor, It is kind of sad to see your haying season come to an end. It was fun riding along with whether you mowed or baled. You and Brent put up a lot of bales this season. In all of your videos that I have watched, there is one constant formula: Brent plus Taylor = teamwork and common sense and happy cows. Another great video . Keep smiling and keep farming. 🐄🚜😉
Hi there Taylor and Brent. It's really lovely watching you both working together in compleat harmony .it's so good and heartwarming to see. God bless you both and your families. Lovely video Taylor and thanks from all of us here in Ireland 🇮🇪 😀. Patrick Brazil.
" Down to earth" !!! That was a good one Brent!!! 😂. Hay season over for me too. Great stuff Taylor !!! Thank you for sharing your journey!!! God bless you all !!!!! Eddy
Brent and you are a great team, all ways remember your safety comes frist!
Thanks so much, absolutely!
The whole things needs cleaning ,,,pull after marked all of the battery wires ,and brush them to a bright copper colored and check water in them if they have water lol thanks BigAl California
Taylor. Those old metal case skilsaws are real dangerous. They short out. Thanks. Be safe
Hi Taylor thanks for sharing another awesome video, you have just got to love the Brent jokes. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Long time subscriber who enjoys your videos, keep em coming. Just an FYI, a lead acid battery can freeze and burst IF ITS SETTING IN A DISCHARGE STATE. Keeping them charged up in cold weather can prevent the same. When adding water USE DISTILLED WATER, and its best NOT to discharge them over 50% of their capacity..... Keep them topped of and well charged ESPECIALY in cold weather.....GOOD JOB GOOD VIDEOS

I was just going to tell her that a dead battery will freeze quicker than anything else. I found that out in my motorcycle one winter.😂
Good job
Taylor battery cases can crack even in places that do not freeze, but if a battery is not kept fully charged it is likely to freeze and swell crack the plastic case. It might work to disconnect the batteries and charge each battery separately with a battery charger so they are topped off before trying to use the charger for the equipment. The clean up getting ready for snow use to be exciting because that meant Thanksgiving is coming up, snowmobiling and sledding on the big hills, but now it reminds me it will be cold and icy, lol. As always thank you so much for making your videos I enjoy watching them . Hope you and family all stay safe and healthy.
You are 100% correct! A dead battery will freeze before a charged battery. Also, I think Taylor said those were 3 to 4 years old. If that’s the case, and they were allowed to sit completely discharged, the chances are that they are not going to take a charge.
Still a lot of work to do coming the winter months
Always sad to put things away for the year.
Nice vid! The last bale, the last load is allways the best! Stay safe!
Thank you! Yep you’re right, the last load you really appreciate cause your gonna miss being out in fields😊
Always amazes me how much two people can get done in a day. I'll be good if I can do half as much on my own!
A ha into the clean workshop to sit for 30 year's maybe not lol😅😊
I’ve never seen a Bendy WD-40 straw, but I do have to recommend PB Blaster as a much better penetrating oil!
Taylor, don’t forget about the 1/2 inch wrench that you put on the windowsill. 😜
😂 funny thing is I did forget about it!
Always fun to see, "Red Neck Farmer Way" and it worked.
I enjoy watching your videos of daily life on a dairy farm it is becoming a lost art farming is a tuff job and you and Brett have a great working system I don't know any women that would do the job you do
Glad you enjoy it! And thanks so much!
"We even bought from an archeologist, nice guy real down to earth" lol lmao. "Looks like an equipment grave yard" I know that feeling.
yes we're all sad to see summer end we enjoy your farming videos and really look forward to more of them. Your the Best
At least no snow....yet
Brent is really a great guy and boss! It is totally amazing how you guys are so synced. Of course it wouldn't be that way if you were not as good of a worker as you are Taylor! Great videos, keep em coming.
The shop looks awesome
Thanks! We are trying hard to keep it that way 😅
Always something to fix on the farm. 🐄
Taylor, i was just thinking how nice it would be if you could put all the tractors in a barn under cover for the winter
I made a couple of deliveries yesterday in the back woods of Maine, kept looking for your firm not sure if I was in your area or not, but I drove through, La Grange, Guilford, Sebec, Parkland, and then to Pittsfield, then way down to Arundel, I was on some roads that I’ve never been on before😂
Brent said " That's why we moved it around a thousand times!!" Lol funny stuff there 🤣
Hey Taylor! Sad to see the end of harvest but I am kinda looking to see what you all do in the winter! Keep up the Great Videos! So close to the 12,000 Subs I hope you do a LIVE where we can ask you questions! Thanks again for sharing this with us!
BTW Taylor, it’s best to always wear gloves when working around batteries🤔
Great video. Just keeping equipment running is almost a full-time job on a farm. Wouldn't charge because of the bad battery. So sad that hay season is over. Loved the videos. Brought back many a memory for me. Maybe now you can get that Kubota cleaned up a little. Have a great day and God Bless.
.
You have such great humour
Really enjoyed your video
😂 Your trees are dormant not dead! 😂
Sorry I don’t know why I found that so funny 😆.
Down to earth😂
Soda and water will clean battery terminals!!
Great video!
Thanks for the visit!
Oh the cow broke it..... 😂
Just think of you had a place to keep that vintage equipment, how much longer it could last and make it nicer to work on
It would be best if you used battery acid instead of water and it would be less of a chance to freeze!! howdy from Vermont
Hi again Ms Tay and Brent. As always, another great video. Sure makes my day. Your comment about the equipment lined up looked like a graveyard for old farm equipment really cracked me up. At times, you sure are a comedian. Hope your week is going well. Be safe, keep productive and take care. So looking forward to Sunday and your next video. Thank You.
Awesome job
The batteries need to be above 42 volts or charger will not work charge each individual battery with a 12 volt charger to achieve this .charge each for about 30 minutes GOOD LUCK
good way to build up leg muscles yanking on that cart, just bailing up the hay on my farm for number 4
Sure is!😆 Hope the rest of your season goes smoothly 👍🏻👍🏻
Taylor, you amaze me! Great job farmgirl! I am enjoying catching up!
Hey Taylor......Distilled water for batteries, tap water will ruin them 😢😢😢
The metal tip on the wire brush is meant to be a slag hammer for welding slag. That brush is included with many cheap welders and is poor at both brushing and slag hammering.
Good morning Tay, another great video.😊 We gave up on haying for the year last week but got most of the fields done all but 15 acres. We have had 2 light frost down here already lol 🥶🤗
Love your Videos! You're like a 'Kid-In-A-Candy-store' when it comes to working on equipment or even moving them around. Love"It. Lead Acid batteries, like to type you pulled out of the feed wagon, if they freeze, they burst at temperatures well below freezing. The way to get around that, in the winter is to trickle charge the battery in the super cold of winter. Better yet, just remove them and put them into a warm and well ventilated area during the dead of winter. Lead Acid batteries give off corrosive fumes, that is why you ventilate them. The water will freeze in extreme temperatures causing the cells to burst. Dry cells in the batteries while oxidize and loose efficiency. So keeping them hydrated is a must. Also, use only distilled water in the batteries since chemicals in drinking water will corrode the batteries internally. Try to store as much equipment inside during winter or they will rust and corrode. I'm just a farm boy from the Michigan who add to put up with winters with lows of 20 below zero F most winters growing up.
Never been to Main, but I have been as far as Boston.
It was too cold. But not as Hot Like texas
Tap water is the worst thing you could do to a battery should of been distilled purified bottled water,,,lol thanks BigAl California
Another day enjoying your videos. Thank you for bringing us along. Keep farming!
Glad to hear it! I’m so glad you could join us 😀
Wowza! The shop still looks good!
Taylor the charger for the silage cart I am familiar with. Check the round glass in the front it is a fuse and may be blown.
The corner inside of the pit looks like it needs manure relocated. Hope it is a good winter on the farm. God bless you both.
Soon you'll be on the snowmobiles.... Thanks for sharing your chores with us. Best wishes, Deb
Can't wait!😀 thanks so much for joining us, have a great weekend 🐄🚜
I sure like your sign and honoring me as a loyal watcher of your videos Taylor. lol My first name is Dale. You have become an excellent videoer and editor. Sounds like the jack on the wrapper needs some WD40. Thanks Taylor!!
I noticed that the jack was in need of some oil too.
You to always work so good together.
An its nice that you enjoy what you do
So keep up the great videos an always be safe
Have a great day
Thanks, you as well!
WD40 , thing a ma bob is purty nifty eh , love your shows , they are real !
It sure comes in handy! Thanks so much, I’m glad you like them 🙂
Another great action packed video. Thanks.
Thanks again!
Good Morning Taylor. From Massachusetts
I know its a good feeling to be done with Haying Season but i hope you still get nice weather to maybe just get another cutting of hay even though it might not be as much and hope i dont sound like I’m being greedy but the more hay you have on hand the easier it will be to feed the Moo Moo Mamas for the winter, you and Brett have done a wonderful job and now it’s time to slow your pace, catch up on things that you have put off for the summer but still have time to have fun❤😊
I was in Amarillo last Sunday morning and I can personally vouch for the 38 degrees in Texas
🤔🤷♂️
Hey Taylor, I happened upon a video about your 4x4 baby from a year ago. You were trying to resolve a fuel pump issue. What’s going on with your fabulous Ford? Any updates? Thanks for sharing this video, always enjoy watching your day to day on the dairy.
Hi, so the problem actually ended up being a bad fuel line. Replaced the entire line and now she runs like a top!😀
Taylor, great video. It's nice to be done haying so you can get to the "to do" list that was building while you were haying and not just deal with the emergencies. I loved the "Can I take it apart?" unfortunately at my age it's more likely to be "Can I remember how to put it together?". Keep up the good work.
Hi and thanks! Yes definitely a lot of things pile up on that list during the busy summer months . ☺️ I don’t think I’d be much better about remembering how a part goes back together! Thanks so much for watching along with us hope to hear from you again!
Great job guys
Thanks so much!
Hi Taylor ever thing put away nice and tidy for another year time to empty dung stead haha 👍
Here in iowa we are having cold nights with rain 40s an fiftys in the day an sometimes in the 60s 60s
Hi folks it's great to put the hay equipment away knowing that you have enough for the winter
Good Morning Taylor. I always notice that the older the equipment the better and it's always the older equipment that always outlasts the new stuff
Hi, yes I agree most older equipment is made higher quality than newer ones.
@@tayfarms you ain't kiddin. The new stuff is so complicated to try and fix to and so freakin expensive to. With John Deere I think you have to call them and they'll send a tech person out to your place and charge an arm and a leg to just fix whatever might be wrong
Love your weedwhacker! That would be something I would do! Although I tell people I like dusting, I just get the leaf blower out, blow the dust off everything, when it settles, I get the broom, sweep it up and throw it out the door! A lady was telling me how her 5 year old helped he with the house work, and I told him this, and after he says, we have a leaf blower, AH, I said, just kidding!
The jacks on those old John Deere implements are pretty bad, pour some oil over it and they are a little less bad, If possible I try to change them for a standard jack. I find the side wind handle jacks are less susceptible to getting stiff and rusty than the top wind jacks.
boston dynamics is amazing
I notice I am not the only Irish person that watches your videos by the look of the comments, I am looking forward to seeing your 3 new girls. We had a very wet summer our side of the pond as well and we are bringing in some grass as fresh feed as it is either that or bale it up and wrap it and we need feed now so it makes sense to bring in some grass rather than feed bales. Regards to Both of you.
We’ve been lucky to hear from lots of wonderful folks from Ireland! I can’t wait to show you the latest girls of our group 🐄! Sorry to hear that your weather has been soggy as well, just a hard year for feed😟. Hope everything is going well and you have a wonderful weekend!
you are tougher than a lot of men
Just dropping in to say hi. I hope you and Brent have a wonderful farming day!!
Thank you! You too!

Using tap water in the batteries is a mistake you should always use distilled water I learned that valuable lesson
You're battery didn't actually freeze a blew up. It was shorted out I've had tractor batteries. Do the same thing end plates inside Shorted out.
Always just put destilled water in a battery!
don`t matter how old the equipment is,as long as it doe`s the job, some old equipment that is old works better than new,new Equipment today is not built as good as the old
100% agree!
Hello Taylor, I so worry about you hurting yourself. You work so hard. I always had that mentality and now that I'm old having joint and other surgeries. Please take care of yourself 🙏
Hello Brent 👋🏻
did not figure out what was in that shabby shed with the 100 year old shingles, but it looked like the first 2 foot snow storm might bring it down
I must admit I have never seen someone cutting grass the farmer way before, seems to work.
Y'all were really busy!! You have a 'new' fan!! I got a re-homed chocolate lab a ~ week ago. Every time he hears ur voice he comes over and cks out my laptop. He does not do this w/ any other YT videos I watch. Stay safe out there!
Aww that is so adorable! He must know I have a soft spot for dogs!! Give him a treat for me 😀. Thanks for sharing!
If you wanted to charge them batteries, it looked like they were 6 V. You can put them on a 6 volt charger. The one said are good, that is.but you have to charge each one by its self
FIRST!!!! 🆒 Video Taylor!!!!
😄
@@tayfarms ..UR... A hard worker...and great 2 look at!!!!
Your trees aren't dead lol their dormant lol
😂 feels like their dead!
The battery when it is not fully charged they will freeze.
Made me a little sad, I love riding with you while you cut👍👍😁😁. I do got a couple questions, why does Brent ha e 3 riding mowers and am I still in the running for fan of the year 🤔🤔🤔😁🤭🙏🙏🙏⚘
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
What do you feed in the feed cart you have silage or haylage
Wyoming had 6-8 inches of that naughty "s" word last weekend... Lol... You can always try pouring coca cola on the terminals... After disconnecting the positive and negative terminals... 😊
Jeez!! I’m myself need a little more time to psych myself up for that white mayhem!!🤣 I’ve heard that tip about cola but never have tried it, I’ll have to give it a shot sometime!
😊Hi Tay! Do things kinda slow down in the fall and winter months or as busy? Thank you and God's Blessings!
