@@atlas4837 Dude I'm about to hit the gym to do Overhead Press. What a coincidence. Yes, low rep high weight for strength gains. I'm currently doing a periodization similar to Wendler's. I'm not at bodyweight (77kg) OH press, but I'm at 50kg3 reps. I don't know if it's a lot but I'm proud.
I hate it when people go "Im here for a fun time not a long time". Who said you can't have both? There are so many hobbies and crafts that don't cut into your lifespan, but infact increase physical and mental wellness. Not only does staying active in the gym and having hobbies increase lifespan mental cognition, but it also increases your wellness in your geriatric years, allowing you to enjoy your dusk years. But when your source of fun involves overindulgences, then you get neither. Its funny they think they'll drop dead before the consequences catch up. But lets be real, if someone else doesn't kill them, they'll be the ones desperately clinging for life when its far too late. In no time, they'll be wheeled in front of a window, with a tube up their nose, hardly remembering the face of their kid who put them in that senior home because they cant take of them anymore. I've seen it happen, and whats worse, some are still aware enough to know why they're strapped to an oxygen tank. If you want to have motivation to stay active physically and mentally, visit a senior home.
