People don't understand. Men do have emotions. Men are passionate, joyful, enraged, brokenhearted. We feel emotions very intensely. Without tempering them, they can very easily get out of control. Thats why we need stoicism. So we can control our feelings until the right time to express them. I will not cry when I'm injured, there are better reasons to cry. I will not get angry when a friend gives me a reason to, because there are other things worth getting angry over. But I will be happy for my fellow men bettering themselves through discipline and training, because that is something worth celebrating.
I think its less that there’s better things to be angry about, more that if something unpleasant happens you’d be stupid to make it worse by getting angry and thus making yourself feel even more unpleasant. Cant control what happens. But its best to control, at least as much as you can, how you feel and perceive these things. Best to avoid a negative emotion as soon as possible, or to let it go as soon as possible
Right. Women are emotional about everything all the time to the point it doesn't even mean much most of the time. Men show emotion strongly on important moments.

It is ok to admit our own weaknesses, to accept pain and vulnerability, for these are a part of human existence. Even Jesus, as a man, wept a couple of times, because he saw and felt the misery of human condition. Never have I seen a man with discipline denying these truths: he has to be self-conscious and it implies recognization of his weaks and fails. The problem with these cry-babies - such as the one in the video- is that he creates a distortion in his mind of what actually is a man and attacks it, because its easier to blame everyone else than to accept that, even thou its ok to show weaknesses sometimes, it is not ok to be in a constant state of pitty, grieving, vulnerability and false humility. These crying grown man are arrogant as hell, because they dont want to accept that the world isnt for the weak, but for those who try to improve despite their weaknesses. _Minor Note Below my last statement_ _"It's okay to cry, it's okay to be weak."_ Wrong. This presupposes that crying means you're weak. A couple of benefits of crying are the release of oxytocin and endongenous opiods that hellp to relieve stress. It also helps to reduce excess cortisol, a hormone that, when too much of, can have extreme adverse side effects especially in men. Crying is a form of emotional recovery. It's okay to cry, it's not okay to be weak. I won't edit the original comment but I would like to add a caveat that a more intelligent person made. From Garen A.P. : "its not okay to be weak" im gonna change that phrase to "its okay to be weak, but its not okay to embrace your weakness" especially if you are telling others to be weak like you." It's okay to cry and to be weak, it's not okay to embrace weakness. Another important note: To all who liked/thumbs upped my comment, thank you. To all who replied, thanks to you as well. I just read the comments and the compliments, it was an enlightening uplifting thing to read after a hard day of working. I wish you all the best who refuse to accept and embrace weakness.
A man with emotions is not synonymous of weakness, but humanity. It just shows how that man is a real human being. But being weak and start whining about it in the internet how society hates you, it's a shame.
They need to be careful: I'm seeing more examples of people projecting their unresolved issues and traumas onto the world and then forming ideologies and groups around them and getting validation for it when it's somewhat harmful. There is a difference between knowing when to be strong and when to be vulnerable. There is a difference between being lazy and unhealthy, and recognising your flaws and working towards bettering yourself, I noticed more people seem to think it's ok to be lazy and unhealthy and see it as being progressive. It's not good to form an identity around weakness and not good to form an identity around being unhealthy - your body and mind literally dont want that and your life will reflect it.

I’ve been through hell this last decade and of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that people will tell you it’s okay to be weak, break down, and seek therapy because they’re holding you up to THEIR standards, knowing they’d crumble under the same pressures you face. They want to convince you that you’re wrong, so they can feel right and justified in their own mediocrity. It’s okay to keep it in, to fight your battles on your own, to win them and be stronger than they can ever hope to be. You know what you have inside of you, deep down, better than anyone else ever will. Do what others won’t, so you can have everything they’ll never get.
Exactly these 'body positivity' folks. Body positivity for whom? For the people who drag you down to their level, so that they can throw pity parties together.
I genuinely don’t understand the logic behind this comment. “Bottle it up, never cry, just ignore it and sweep it under the rug” people who want you to open up dont want the worst for you. They dont want to drag you down. They are showing empathy. But whatever.
All jokes and memes aside though, I just can't wrap my head around these body positivity campaigns. Yes, sure, if you're okay with the way you look (even if you're a little overweight or whatever), that's great, good for you. But clearly, these people don't feel comfortable in their appearance, or otherwise they wouldn't try to force society into thinking that a chubby and overweight body is a desirable physique. If e.g you've got a high bf% and are clearly overweight, yet you don't have a problem taking your shirt off at the pool and just enjoy having fun with friends, that is honestly a very attractive character trait. But don't try to discredit people who put effort, hard work and a lot of sweat and sore muscles into their goal of achieving their desired physique, may it be skinny, athletic, bulky or whatever.
To be completely honest, it's just an excuse to not work out or eat healthy, I can't think of anything else There's people who can't lose weight due to some medical conditions but this ain't it, these are normal people who just don't want to get in shape, which is absolutely fine by me but why force your lifestyle on others lol
I think body positivity campaigns should be aimed at people who have disabilities or deformities due to disease or accident. Not for lazy obese people who lack discipline and don't want to face their problems.
I think I kinda understand it, but I thing it's not exactly right. When you see a buff dude, you know he has discipline, yes, but that doesn't mean someone fat is necessarily lacking discipline, because there are other things one can work on. People nowadays seem to think that going to the gym is the only way to better yourself, and that's bs. Maybe this fat guy I'm looking at is focusing all his energy and discipline on his research or art, because he genuinely values it more than being physically fit. To me, the whole point of body positivity (or at least, what it should be) is to accept that being fat, while not physically healthy, is not a reason to deem someone as unworthy of respect.

I'm gonna enmark this
I think its less that there’s better things to be angry about, more that if something unpleasant happens you’d be stupid to make it worse by getting angry and thus making yourself feel even more unpleasant. Cant control what happens. But its best to control, at least as much as you can, how you feel and perceive these things. Best to avoid a negative emotion as soon as possible, or to let it go as soon as possible
Stoicism is key

_Minor Note Below my last statement_
_"It's okay to cry, it's okay to be weak."_
Wrong.
: "its not okay to be weak" im gonna change that phrase to "its okay to be weak, but its not okay to embrace your weakness" especially if you are telling others to be weak like you."
It's okay to cry and to be weak, it's not okay to embrace weakness.

I just read the comments and the compliments, it was an enlightening uplifting thing to read after a hard day of working. I wish you all the best who refuse to accept and embrace weakness.

@Garen A.P finally a take that isn’t garbage

@@jd88gtr19 Yes, I know from experience that exercise and being fit does have a positive impact on your mentality.
Keep it pushing brotha! We're all rooting for each other. WERE ALL GONNA MAKE IT!
Exactly these 'body positivity' folks. Body positivity for whom? For the people who drag you down to their level, so that they can throw pity parties together.
Took this advice three years ago and I love my life now💪🏻
I would put my signature under that comment!
To be completely honest, it's just an excuse to not work out or eat healthy, I can't think of anything else
There's people who can't lose weight due to some medical conditions but this ain't it, these are normal people who just don't want to get in shape, which is absolutely fine by me but why force your lifestyle on others lol
It's communist subversion in a wrapper of feel-good rhetoric. A weak and afraid populace can't and won't fight back.

Man must be strong to help others it's the only way I'm consistently working out to get stronger to protect those I love

"I didn't want to be comfortable anymore", dude has been nothing but comfortable his whole life, his mass shows that.
I know a lot of strong men capable of really impressive things, few of them are muscular. It's not ok to be weak, but strenght comes in many forms, like the old saying goes, the strongest man is that who can lift the spirit of others.
Amen
