So the issue I’m having fellas is the lads that want to learn but when you have a few grand on the floor you have to screed colour and finish and stamp you don’t have chance to teach?? Comments I would appreciate I learned through watching and got stuck in kids today don’t have that fire 🔥
@GlenJowers-mw5ti I think you have to glorify the work to this newer generation. They like to feel like their part of something important for gratification. No different than anyone really i feel likethey may need it a little more. When I work and lead younger guys I try to make it fun like were doing something cool and when were complete make it seem like we just produced the best job outthere as well as make them feel like the belong to the best team around. My opinion only
The power trowel looks fun
I like running them and had the honor of running it for its first slab
those r my favorite machines 3ft Whiteman
Me too love these machines so smooth
aloha concrete is the name of the other channel in hawaii
ill check outthe competition
Nice!! I’m a concrete mason , live in maui , lmk if you need a hand one day, I would like to visit big island
Heck yeah back at you I want to pour concrete on all the islands
So when you screed, do you screed with the edge of the board on the concrete cocked, or do you have it flat with the concrete ?
I caulk the screed it helps to take it down a little easier and it seals it up at the same time. It seems like a lot of guys who are learning to screed they always lean it forward when pulling which is a killer on the wrists and hands plus it tears the mud instead of sealing it
Great job!
Yes sir thank you! no big catches last night but we did get some little fish for a meal so good night on the water nun the less. Have a great Sunday 🤙🏽
Do you guys ever use power screeds out that way?
I've personally never seen anyone here using them. Although the company I work for has a truss screed that works really well for putting down mud quick
Why keep the end chute on the truck so high??
Lol I don't know because he felt like splashing everyone in front of the shoot maybe.
I'm in the midwest so I'm curious what kind of mix do yall use being that salt water is in the ground and in the air?
Just a standard mix nothing special. Typically a low psi concis used like a 2500 to 3000 . You can use good mix designs but thats Typically used in commercial concrete
