- Jeff Rose from Desert RV got this winch installed, a huge shout out to him and his Crew out in Sierra Vista AZ.
Also shout out to Eric for the great ideas for upgrading this rig!!
The Rig was ordered with heavy duty tie downs, 8000lbs Axles, 3 solar panels amongst other upgrades.

Dune SPort installed a Winch in my rig. I never thought of using it to load. I'll have to give it a try.
Yes it keeps you from driving into a cabinet, plus if you have some carnage while duning, you can still get it loaded into your hauler for transport home.

Is your model 17 feet to that first cabinet by the door or all the way back to the stove?
17 ft to first Cabinet, my Buggy fits with room to spare as you may need to enter or exit the Coach after loading. It works well with a 4 seat SxS as well with even more room to spare.
As mentioned in the videos, and some comments, I was looking for a 2 axle for maneuverability in tighter gas stations and other areas.
My friend has a Vortex 3 Axle and my buggy would fit even better, however didn't want to lose my mobility.
Just fyi, the winch would work with pretty much any model they make.
What type of material is that you’re using to put under the sandcar tires?
Its rubberized vinyl , called "Hallway runners/savers or Carpet runners" from Home Depot, you can pick up a 20ft roll for approx 10 bucks. I bought several for my storage compartment on my rig and my garage floor. They work real good.
How much does your buggy weigh?
Is your winch running off your generator or your batteries?
Approx 2500lbs. The winch runs off batteries
It's a 6k pound Black Ops and runs off 12v.
Made for SxS install so I knew it would fit into cabinet.
It's more than plenty of power.
You do not need generator running, we wired it to trailer batteries.

I will be adding a winch to my toy hauler for my Meyers Tow'd which weighs 1350 lbs. No problem backing up a dry ramp, but wet ramp or if i break i want to be able to still load it up.

Cool thanks. I have a GMC 2500 and want a similar trailer. They say it is in specs of the truck but just seems like a lot for a single rear wheel.
