I have been following you since the beginning and have enjoyed immensely your start and journey. I worked in the restaurant industry 40 years ago and I know how thin your profit margin probably is. Running any business is so hard, and the time it takes to make it a success. Even though you are changing the final course of your journey, you are successful! To take a concept and bring it to fruition is amazing, and I applaud you and your partners for your success. Good luck to all of you and your families in the future and I hope we hear from you again.

I loved watching your journey. I was once stationed south of you in Bitburg and I smiled at the thought of Texas Barbeque being served there. Good luck in your further journey and hopefully your still are using your grill for family and friends get togethers, which is what we love in Texas.

Pork is a food group....Spread that a little wider also !!!!!!

I've been a fan since watching you guys build your own pit and am very saddened by the news you won't be continuing. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Greetings from Mexico City.

Sad news indeed, but very proud of all 3 of you for deciding that the next step is not the right step. Perhaps in your futures, the circumstances will be different. I wish I had had that kind of wisdom in my middle 20's.

I'm so glad that you shared your journey and experience with us! You've made it further than most do, including myself by fulfilling a big part of a dream that you had. I've honestly thought it would be amazing to have some variety of food truck and pursue that avenue but start up costs and the management of that effort would be very taxing on my time and financial resources. This channel was a great fit for me because it tied in my love of the entrepreneurial spirit, running a business, delicious BBQ, and last but not least Germany! Much love from Ohio! Hopefully this isn't good bye, please give us more updates as time goes on!

Running a restaurant can run, or ruin, your life. The failure rate in the first year for restaurants in Texas (Dallas, Austin, Houston...) is about 50%. Aaron Franklin has his own supply contract for briskets and it's one of the reasons he is successful. He discusses it in his book. Even in Texas, you can't go to the store and buy brisket at the quality he gets it at. The top quality meat never makes it to the retail consumer - it all goes to restaurants. The exception is butcher shops but they charge such a premium, it doesn't work for restaurants. The same is true for steaks. We would all like to see you stick with it but only you know what's in your heart. It's been a great experience for you, so nothing is really lost.

First of all it was such a joy and pleasure to watch this series of videos. Amazing build, the passion you showed for this is inspiring. If I can impart anything, I would suggest that you not give up on your dream and take some of the German Culture and food and make your own twist on the Texas style BBQ. I spent sometime in Germany in my younger days while in the military, Germany has an amazing culture, rich history and some amazing food that would blend well with Texas BBQ. Best of luck moving forward, thank you again for this video series.

Wow- Didn’t see that coming. It seems like capital is what is lacking here. I really hope you all reconsider and keep it going. Many of us want to watch you succeed and spread the BBQ love.

I just found these videos and really enjoyed them. I hope you guys were able to sell before the pandemic hit. I'm sure you'll find a buyer after this is all over. I find it ironic that there is so much German influence in Central Texas BBQ yet it seems to be an oddity in Germany itself (at least what I gathered from the videos). Franklin may be king out in Austin (his stuff is amazing) but Coopers in Llano is the best ( personal preference I know). If you ever get back to this side of the Pond go check it out. Good luck to you and yours in your future endeavors and stay safe.
