Why is it going to take 2 years for FDA approval? It's not a drug or some type of invasive medical procedure. Two years is an agonizingly long wait for those who are suffering from this horrible affliction.
Because FDA trials cost tens of millions and the FDA wants their money more than they want people to feel better. TRUTH!!

There is some hope now. I have been dealing with early onset Parkinson's for 25 years now and I am so excited at the possibility of reducing the amount of medication that I take. And the promise of more movement and mobility is a dream come true
As a person with Parkinson's i think that the FDA will drag their feet on this as there's more profit in meds and expensive medical complicated surgery.

My husband has parkinson's. This is a true miracle for all who have it. We would like him to be able to use these gloves. He is 83yrs old. How does it help someone of his age? For how long? Lots of questions could be answered for those who are of advanced age.

This is an amazing development for people with Parkinson’s disease. I’m so happy to see it. My first contact with this condition was when I was around 6 or 7 years old, when my mother was delivering meals to a gentleman with the condition. She told me about the condition, and in language that I would understand, that it causes people to shake. Later, I worked in a nursing home and saw the extent of this condition, not just the tremors, but stiffness, shuffling walk, and dystonia, up to and including inability to swallow and severe contractures. There was so little we could do for the patients, so seeing this is going to give a lot of people a lot of hope. And it’s not another drug!

it may well be true that that no price can be put on having good health, but I have a funny feeling whoever comes away with the production rights to this technology will test the truth of the theory - meaning it ain't gonna be cheap. Our health care system has an uncanny knack for ruining potentially stellar developments.

It is time to hold Stanford accountable for getting the hopes up of so many people via national television and subsequently having ZERO progress well over a year later. Please prove me wrong and show us some meaningful progress in NEW patients, not the same person who has been used as an example for the last 5+ years. This is getting ridiculous.

American Parkinson Disease Association report Dec 22, 2022 "Neither of these devices are developed to the point that they have received FDA clearance for treatment of PD. Additional trials are now being planned. The glove is currently not available for purchase and obtaining access to the glove at this point is only possible through the clinical trial." I guess that where it still stands 18 months on.

How can I GET IT AND how match price it
I do vibration now for more than a year with ball, roller, and peanut. I do on laps, under knees, sides of legs and back. Hold ball or roller on hands for about 1.5 - 2 hours a day. It helps with legs muscles, flexibility, tremor on hands is better, but I still take 6 pills a day. Maybe it is not enough time and speed is lower than gloves.

there are several products, even do it yourself instructions to make vibrating gloves, how are these different and how can a person not get ripped off. i want to know i’m getting the best treatment from vibrating gloves.
As far as I am aware, there are NO products on the market that do what these gloves do. There are vibrating balls, but those just do general vibration. There are haptic gloves that vibrate, but they were designed for VR. These gloves vibrate the fingertips in specific patterns, similar to DBS. The only set of complete design files I have seen are the FreedomWave gloves. Google FreedomWavePD.
This looks very promising but putting "Eliminates Tremors" in the title is not the case at all. Hats off to the team's who worked on this.

This research is terrific, however, i wish Jacob had mentioned all the damage that is going on in the brain of a PD patient, especially if a PD pt is applying for Social Security Disability. These gloves are awesome for addressing the physical symptoms of PD, but there was no mention as to whether the gloves have any impact on the brain. When SSA is trying to determine whether to grant Disability to a PD pt, they need to know that the symptom keeping PD pts from working is their inability to multitask or remember details. We simply need to know more from Stanford. Also, there was no mention of how it is believed that PD starts decades prior to diagnosis. That means, PD may have been eating away at patient brains for many years before we take notice of a tremor or loss of smell, etc. There is so much more to know!
