    My husband is signing up for coast guard at first I was concerned about how often will I see him but this video helped me I’m sure I’ll be fine for the little while he is gone for bootcamp .i really just wanted to know what to expect because i want to be with my hubby .

    They have two bills for education, the Montgomery Bill and the GI Bill, one is soupy for the military member and one is transferable to anyone in the family. That's what our recruiter told us.

    Hello Julian! great content! is it in reserves or active duty? I talked to local recruiter and he said that active duty go for 3 months overseas on the boat and come back? is it true, or i got him wrong? Thank you

    I was wondering if two people in the coast guard from the same unit can get married in A school on a weekend? Like if one stays behind and the other goes off to BM A school? or if one graduated BM A school and is now at their new unit and the other is now in A school?

    My fiancé is thinking of enlisting and we wanted to wait until after our son is born to get married he will be born in 4 months and we’re getting married in 5. Should we move the wedding date up or do you think he will be able to still make our wedding date?

    I just found this channel, I ship to boot camp in 3 days, Oct 3rd! Im going to go watch all your videos now.
    Question, So if I get stationed on a cutter after boot camp and I have to live on the ship What do I do with all my things? would I have to keep it in storage, would I get a barracks room where I can keep my things while im on the cutter? Do you know how that works? thank you.

      @@teufelhund53 wait for you finish boot camp and give you orders they will tell you if you get on the way or not and they do move you and give you a storage but they pay for but until you get your orders you will know they teaches you on boot camp.

    Hey my girlfriend is going to the coast gaurd and I wanted to join her on that journey I'm wondering if I marry her will that restrict her from being stationed in certain places or taking certain missions and I'm wondering if this is true? Because I'm looking to actually join with her so would that affect her any way?

    I’m speaking to a recruiter about joining the Coast Guard and my only concern is being away. I have 3 kid and a husband and I’d miss them so much if I have to go in a cutter. My recruiter told me that most the time people volunteer to go on cutters so I’d most likely not have to go in one. Is that true?

      The only options are pretty much Bahrain and Cuba from what I’ve seen (then again I just graduated boot camp a week ago) I’m sure there are other options but the kids going overseas from my company that’s where they are going

    If I plan to do 2 years active and the rest reserve will I still get the benefits since I am married ? Or will I have to do 4 years so I can get the housing allowance for me and my wife? Thanks

    Let’s say you just graduated from boot camp and and are placed somewhere, and you get married to someone who also just graduated from boot camp, as well could you request to be placed at the same place they are?

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I heard or saw somewhere that if you move with your family there is help to move your belongings such as furniture, etc.

      luigi7711 That is correct, the government will provide moving services. Doesnt have to be w/ your family, if you happen to live in a house and you need things shipped, they will do so as well.

    If you had the girl you wanted to marry, but you also wanted to join sooner than later… would you recommend joining and figuring it out as I go, or marry before enlisting. I’d rather not get married at this point in time but ill wait if it will be a great hassle to see my SO with us only dating. Not really sure how the military helps living situations with girlfriends. I kinda figured you had to be married to have any leeway on if your SO can be with your or not. Anything would help 👍

    I'm considered 'special needs' and me and my boyfriend have been furthering our relationship to the next step of engagement. Hes been asking me what I thought about him going through the SNP and staying at a land unit instead of being out on patrol for so long, my question is : Would that affect him in any way or could it? I dont want it to hurt his career in progressing in any way.
    I know certain amount of sea time is good but I'm not too sure about land units ?

    If youre married how does it work between bootcamp and your 1st unit? Can you go home and have household good moved to your duty station then check in?

    You mean to tell me that they don't send married Coasties to places like Bahrain,Iraq or Africa? It sounds like you're saying the way to not get deployed is be married? Please if you can clarify

    Hey there julian. I'm currently a Marine. I enjoy the military life but my wife doesn't like the whole deployment idea thing. What are deployments or patrols like for the coast guard? You said 6 months is really long?

    I'm dating a guy in the Coast Guard and he is a boatmen. We havent been dating that long, but I really like him and want to continue a relationship with him, even when he moves cross country. Do you think it's even possible to be in a relationship like that or should I just move on when he leaves? I've never been in a situation like this with a guy I like.

      Stay with him. If you like him and he feels the same way just pursue the relationship. Forget looking for someone else. You don't need to waste your time haha

Why else would the only good man I've ever met and loved come into my life and then leave not because he wanted to, but had to. It's just a big reminder that I am never going to be good enough and dont deserve anything good

      now you need to elaborate plz. i have 2 kids with my gf. i was planning on going in single but still thinking about doing the civil marriage so i can get the marriage benefits and have my kids with me..is it more stress and disaster waiting to happen? i dont really want to marry her but for my kids sake i was going to take the hit.
