Michael Jordan: Being A New Grandfather Is Fun | TODAY
Man, to get this kind of interview with MJ nowadays is very rare.
so true!
@828 Consulting I hope he does the rounds of late night shows to promote last dance
Paul O steph the best of all time
Right? its surreal how he has avoided the spoight for so long.
@NonyaBusiness! oh im sure
Imagine being born and u realize ur grandfather is Michael Jordan
Congratulations on being a Grandfather.Michael.
Imagine it's lebron?
Hey now!
LOOOOL
@Ulysses432 hahahaha
Who said Jordan don't give to the people he just don't brag about it.
MONK 30 the way he said it and the way he looked is slick asf we all know what other players he’s talking about subliminally
Yes, thank you. And people like to dog him over that alleged quote he said, that "Republicans buy shoes too." I predict it's going to be on Snopes one day as False. Over time, Sam Smith, the writer who claimed Jordan said it, has become more and more vague about the provenance of the quote. At first he claimed he heard Jordan say it, then he said someone else told him Jordan said it. And now, Smith won't even discuss it, only to express regret about the hits Jordan has taken over it because it had been taken out of context. slate.com/culture/2016/07/did-michael-jordan-really-say-republicans-buy-sneakers-too.html
to add, this is NOT the Michael Jordan that has been long rumored to invest in privatized prisons
I hope that he does more
He should be a shame of himself for taking those poor black kids money in the ghettos that buy his fake Jordan's that are made in China.
When you’re grandpa is MJ, you’re about the coolest baby in the nursery as it gets
Yo, who is the girl in your photo?
Hiro Kai and you’ll go through school knowing that it doesn’t matter if you pass or fail because you’re already set for life hahaha
Matson G ay nah MJ gon be on him like “you see these 6 rings? I need 6 A’s from you now” lmao
“I averaged 32 ppg in the 97 finals, don’t let your pops tell me your GPA a 3.2”
zkcydel yup yup for sure.
Geez... I'm that old, that the GOAT is now a grandfather? Time flies...
No, these days Grandfather's are in their 30s
His oldest is 30
Well he is in his 50s
You better be doing something good with your life!
I dont think lebron has grandchildren 🤔
So good to see Michael Jordan. He's looks good and healthy
He used to cheat on his wife big time... He's a low life.
@@jizzahm who.cares
He looks like he has jaundice .. look at his eyes
@@geoffdb8118 looks like it... :(

“There’s a certain mentality that it takes to be a winner.” MJ is and has always been my favorite athlete to study. He represents greatness.
so cool
I guess he takes that to a whole new level in the board room.
He's still awesome, I'm grateful for everything he gave to Chicago in the 90's. We'll always love you Mr. Jordan.
Millie007 as someone that was born in the 80s in Chicago .... jordan is our GOD!!!
I wish i knew Jordan more as i was born in late 90’s. I grew up watching Kobe dominate the league which is Jordan’s protégée
@Bill of Rights 8=D
I was a kid in the 90's and the Bulls legacy traveled all around the globe. No need to say i have watched NBA for 24 years and guess who is still my team, never changed..Bulls to the heart and Mike for life!!
Thiago Moraes u have a bad season lately.. U need to work on it
His smile is beautiful especially when he talks about being a grandfather
It's lovely.
i could tell u were a female b4 i looked at ur username
At first it was scary then when you said it was beautiful it turned beautiful
Always was.
“Give for the purpose of giving not to promote “ great quote MJ.
Says the same man who holds basketball camps for the rich only, sells shoes at a ridiculous price knowing people are getting killed for them, and was responsible for his own father death due to the refusal to pay a 22 million debt for gambling. MJ is an evil man.
ΒΞΔΝ so he should sell shoes for 20$ and hold free camps and lose millions?
ΒΞΔΝ how his father gambling’s debt his fault 🤨... you spoken nonsense
ΒΞΔΝ Michael Jordan’s father was robbed & killed by two teenage thugs. They didn’t even know he was MJ’s father. You sound ridiculous.
I especially like his reasoning in his purpose for giving. To me if you have to hang up your own Star, you just don’t shine as bright. Love you to pieces, MJ!!!
I love that he says he doesn’t donate or help the community to boost his legacy, he does it because he knows the help is needed and wants to help any way he can for whoever he can. THAT is authenticity
Michael is smiling but you can feel that killer mentality in him still.
everyone has a killer inside them, its natural.
Yeah, especially when he told dude, that a little to much there buddy 🤨🥃
@@grimreeper7225 huh
You can see it in his eyes.
Sarah Akhtar is there something that happened? Cause im clearly not aware
Kobe sounded just like him when he talked. Rest in Peace Kobe💔
He does. Great observation! 👍🏽
JERIA WISE They do have similar voices tho can’t deny that.
b jor he sure did.
@JERIA WISE Excuse me #1 I'm not reaching 🙄 and I wasn't comparing them to get likes. They really do sound alike that's been noticed for years before Kobe died that their speaking voices sound alike
b jor Some say Kobe used to copy his voice
A piece of me died when Michael retired and went silent. I feel blessed that we still get to see him every now and then.
The older he gets the more he looks like his dad.
From North Carolina, at guard, 6'6", MICHAEL... JORDAN!!!!!!
There is an aura about this man, he has an undeniable presence,. People feel a certain way around this man. You can feel it even while you are watching him on TV. Whomever God is. He, she or it has truly blessed this man.
I have been in a room with him twice. It is like he has a glow, like there is a spotlight shining on him, an energy coming from his direction....it is something different
MJ is a man of great heart. I hope this will set an example to many
Finished the documentary Last Dance and no doubt I still believe Michael Jordan is the best. I know some believe it puts him in a "bad light" but it shows the blood, sweat and tears he put into the game and the people around him. He worked hard and was put through so much and came out the other side a winner. He made the game great to watch and it's because of him that basketball is the only game I can watch without losing interest or get bored. He is a living legend!
Lebron better
Best ambassador that Chicago ever had. An amazing man.
And he ain’t even from there.
He's not to shabby in NC either! I'm from Wilmington, NC and Ive been proud of Mike since he's been in the league! Used to tell everybody before we played a pickup game " Man, I'm from Wilmington, you know, Where MJ is from!" I now live in Winston-Salem, NC and people still love Mike!
Michael Jordan is a national treasure. He was the first black man outside of my family that truly inspired me.
Michael Jordan is a thief. 👎
@Douglas Walker I’m speaking on his being an amazing ball player. He was good at his profession, and that inspired me. So if that’s “lame” then so be it.✌🏾
Jacob Collins r/nobodyasked
@@jacobcollins9389 wHaT?
@@jacobcollins9389 He once led the league in steals so perhaps he was indeed
“My purpose for doing it is I see a certain need, I feel a certain warmth.” He doesn’t go around making a song and dance about what he gives or how he gives, he just goes about his business quietly. 🐐
MJ finally wearing suits that fit lol.
MJ has that James Evan's laugh and smile. Giving back is what's most important
Lol.. He does
Lmao I felt this comment.
His smile is dynomite
He’s a billionaire. That kid will be alright
$1.9B ... & counting
Probably be 5B in 12 years
You do know he doesn't actually have a billion dollars in the bank Right? I just want to make sure because some people actually think that he carries that much in his bank account
@@sonnywoods6846 what are you talking about?
CHINA cool,💯
Sonny Woods no one has their entire net worth in the bank account, that would be idiotic and finically terrible, your money will lose value every second
The GOAT of everything. I swear every time he does these rare interviews, I forget what I’m doing.
Just finished the last dance, and I can say that Michael is the GOAT!
And Charles Barkley said he was cheap, he just know how to use his money where it matters.
He is still cheap Al Cortez, look at what little he gave.
@@ig6894 Just because he's a billionaire that don't mean he has to donate a significant amount just to impress people at least he ain't flashing his own money on Social media like Mayweather.
True he did give alot but hes still cheap
Ig how much you give you you you 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
@@ig6894, he still gave. It's ppl like you always throwing salt on someone. Did you give someone a glass of water today? Did you give a quarter to that homeless person on the streets? Or did you even go to the nursing home to visit those elderly people? Probably not!!! But guess what? I've done all of those things and i will never have MJ's money. But it's the thought of giving not how much.
MJ=GOAT, period.
GOD
mike has always been an emotional and passionate person, hes always true to himself that also shows his passion thru basketball
I love when Michael says he doesn’t care about changing his legacy, it’s about providing, instead of some celebrities that pretend the don’t want the TONS notoriety and publicity that comes with donating and servicing the community.
ppl keep making this false dichotomy btwn players who announce and players who dont. we actually need both especially from male celebrities. we need some ppl modeling "i care with my resources" publicly and we need more discreet givers.
Love you Mike! Unlike other former and current athletes, this spirit of giving is never plastered all over social media.
Michael has turned into an amazing person
What was he before
His been an amazing person
Hahaha
mj's been doing this since rookie or even college. he learned this from his mother, and of course maybe not 30 mill
@D D nah
Such a humble legend, god bless him and his family 🙏🏻❤️
humble? literally no one who knows jordan would call him humble
Did you see the video when the kids asked for an autograph the was not humble
michael is a kind and giving man god bless him
Glad he's giving back to the community. God bless him.
I really wish that some other great millionaire and billionaire athletes like him would have that same great spirit of giving back a bit to the communities they're from as well. Good example MJ and be blessed
It took him decades to do so lol. He has been the most selfish Black athlete of all time. Lebron set a benchmark and now everyone is trying to catch up. Magic Johnson is light years ahead of Jordan in giving back
@@jamaalshelton6793 thank you. my fathers an og and has told me for years about that. crazy lol
utubegirl except he donated to an African American museum and shows know ill will towards black people
MJ is and always will be the GOAT, on and off the court. There is no comparison, there is no competition, the rest can try but the man is a legend. "Heroes get remembered, legends never die"....
"he doesnt pick up a basketball because his competitiveness will trigger him to play more" WOW JUST WOW MJ THE GOAT!
500 hours of unseen footage .. god i can’t wait
"Thats a lot you're pouring there buddy"
Why do I LOVE the way he says that? XD
I love the interviewer's questions
That kid gonna have every single retro ever made😪
Lol big facts!!
treyydayoungan _ already got it I’m sure! And as his feet grow the shoe game grows!
I just want to watch all MJ's video.
Thats awesome MJ! Thank you for making a difference.
In last 5 years he donate 30 million dollars. Thats fantastic. Why he is not on social media?
Social media is for attention seeking
M Del Valle completely agree! Michael doesn't seek attention, he's the ultimate GOAT.
A lot of people in his generation aren’t on social media
His children assist in that. His oldest though is starting to really understand the Jordan brand and managing that.
He has given to hales Franciscan for years it was a all boys black high school. It has always been done quietly
I love it when my childhood heroes make me proud and give back. Thank you for always inspiring me, Michael!!!
He must be thinking "imma destroy mah grandchild on court 🤣"
Iam a Detroit Pistons Fan and i love this Man

ive always admired Michael Jordan since i watched him when I was a kid in 1992 i was hooked. hes a great role

When you see a basketball, the first person that come to mind, will alway be Michael jordan.
Love MJ. When MJ stopped playing I stopped watching sports. Legend❣
Mary Lee-Anderson Then you were never a sports fan.
@@Maal7432, she didn't claim to ever be a sports fan.
@@Maal7432 I mean MJ kinda had that vibe on people. Literally millions around the world followed the sport just because MJ was about to pop-off. Probably the biggest reason why basketball is this loved by all.
Hi
4:09 MJ still savage
He said yet but, even if Steph retired today he'd be in the Hall of Fame. Michael meant when it's all said and done. I mean Steph is just 31 and he still is in his prime. Plus Michael also thinks there's even more that he can achieve because he called him a great player which is high respect for someone's game. This is being taken out of context. There's nothing savage about this comment.
@@milesaheadpodcast thanks for that dissertation.
I'm positively sure that's what he meant.
Just pointing out the fact that even being so many years removed from the game MJ still talks like he ready to compete.
That is all.
@@juschill1 Yeah that's true. He has an addiction to being competitive. I see what you're saying.
Stephen curry is my favorite player but that was funny... And if Mike doesn't think you're hall of famer, you still got more work to do. But trust me SC is gonna be there right next to Mike one day
@@themollymachine I concur
THE GOAT!!!
By a country mile too
Undisputed!
An awesome individual well rounded and grounded.
Before the documentary I thought he was a living legend. After watching 8 episodes of the documentary, my level for MJ has gone up about a thousand percent. Everyone knows MJ is the best. But what it took to get there - that's what makes MJ great. Talk about grabbing a bull by the horns! A true leader and champion. These kinds of guys come very rarely.
The last time I watched basketball was when you played your last game. No one compares to you. MJ. Always love from Vancouver, Canada.
The true one and only GOAT and it’s not even close. The game misses you MJ! 🐐✊🏽🏀
I want to be like Mike, I’m crying now, PS Mike smiled 😆
MJ still looking sharp, he looks like he can play for BIG 3.
DRTB12 : He should have collaborated with Magic and Larry to create the Big-3. They were the “big-3” of their shared NBA years (1984-1992), so the branding would have been built-into the name and the league.
@@DeCurtaRican I mean Ice cube's BIG 3 League were every retired players play today.
He's my ultimate crush since grade school!! ohmygosh until now, i still love MJ!❤❤❤

Great interview. He looks happy and well
What a great man to give back so much to so many charities! Imagine a world with more people like MJ.

GOAT!!
Saw him 4 times live here in San Antonio Tx... one special being the December 1, 1996 game where he scored his 25,000 career points... it was the Spurs largest crowd ever in front of 37,058 in our Alamo Dome and I was one of them! Thanks for the memories MJ!
Very cool 😎

No, he is connected because my name is Kobe jordan
He can give 100 million and make it back with a limited edition jordan sneaker. He deserves all that success he worked hard and he is giving back.
Being the greatest and still got the humility wow. God bless you the GOAT.
Long live the Goat we blessed this legend still alive giving back to the community my outmost respect.
I already feel the pressure on baby' shoulder being the grandchild of the goat
Mike don't care what y'all think he doesn't need any praise

No joke I'm looking forward to that documentary more than the next three NBA championships
See, this is Awesome because the way the media put certain things out that are negative. I love seeing him give back.when ever God has bless you please give back.you will feel really good about helping someone.
He still looks so good!
Wait a minute “Five HUNDRED HOOOURS” of unseen footage??? When’s he gonna release this???
2020. 'The Last Dance': ESPN to release 10-hour documentary .
It’s going to be on Netflix
Oh
And it’s mind boggling that this footage just been sitting around for over 20 years.
Dixie Normous 10 part not 10 hours
And they say MJ isn’t socially conscious. Meanwhile every time LeBron passes gas the press goes crazy and calls it a blessing to humanity. Smh. MJ is the real and only GOAT period!
You're right Michael...giving back is all that matters. Thank you for your service Sir.❤🙏❤
When I was a kid Michael was my inspiration, man and I always saw this happening and breaking my hear, seeing Michael retired, u always have a person that u admire and that was Michael, and I learned a lot of his mentality and try to use it in my day to day life is awsome
mj's been like this since rookie year, and even before, he learned from his mother..
He doesn’t have to do any of this. How wonderful.
Definitely can’t wait till this new documentary comes out!!
it's so fascinating - behind the scenes Jordan has done so much for so many people but you never hear about or even know about it - and sometimes the guys he helps has no idea it's him that's helping them. Just a remarkable person.
