  • After two crazy back-to-back Game 3s for both Semifinals. Logan and Jose both go into time and go into game 3 sudden death with 3 turns starting on turn 0 with only 1 turn to have a Battle Phase. Winning on his last turn off of playing around a SNatch Steal and Triple Tactics Talents attempting to control one of his monsters. Giving him a Princess he summoned off of his I:P Masquerena's quick effect. Best of luck at worlds to these two champions!

    i watched this match live at nats, me n all my buddies thought it was over for jose game 2 when he got dog wooded, the come back was absolute insanity. what i wonder though is when logan got fire locked, why didnt he tribute summon the engraver he had in hand? atleast that way he was still playing somewhat. I dont know he extra but even from that position if he was playing aerial eater + necroquip he had full yubel combo, but i assume he probably wasnt playing that

      @@ryionizer3622 he most likely wasn’t panting either. Extra deck space is a bit tight to have space for either one. I didn’t notice he had an engraver in hand. Game 2 was hype and they went to time as well. Seeing classic turn count was refreshing to see since I got into competitive yugioh when MR4 came out and time rules were established in the summer of 2018. So seeing that was wild to see. Winning on his final turn and only turn to attack. Not too sure what was in his hand but I don’t think he had much follow up to do anything even if he could tribute for Engraver.

      @@MattRodriguezSegura i know he was on breaker going second yubek so I didn't know if his extra was a little different and maybe he had room for aerial eater and necroquip, also I don't think (outside of any potential hand traps) jose has interaction left after linking off his desirae and Apo, just interesting to think how it could have gone

    I'm dumb af, what was the play?

    • @MattRodriguezSegura
      @MattRodriguezSegura  Před měsícem

      @@charizardAnthony94 he chained IP to the talents using the change of heart mode and used all three of his monsters to make Princess and he was locked into Fire Attribute monsters for the turn. More or less turning his first of two turns into him attacking directly and passing. With Jose winning on his last turn wining through an OTK and combining off.
