  • The delightful sound of a bath tub filling up with water. I have found this sound very relaxing ever since I was very young. This has been recorded in high quality stereo, and the clip has been looped to increase the length to 25 minutes. If you enjoy this video, please like / subscribe and let me know if there are other sounds you would like me to upload for you.
All video footage and sound files used to create this video were recorded by me. I never use any content belonging to other people to create my videos.

I discovered these vids @ 3 months ago. Up until then I thought I was the only "nut" who liked to hear water running in a tub. As a small child I loved to take a bath and fill the tub very slowly so I could hear the deep drumming of the water on the tub surface. It practically put me in a trance. I would wrap a towel around me and sit on the floor next to the tub with my eyes closed. The feeling of peace and safety was overwhelming. It's nice to know there are so many others who get the same pleasure from this sound. I have goose bumps as I write this. Goodnight from Vermont.

I've had similar comments from a number of people over the last few years since I started uploading these bath filling videos! Lots of us seemed to do the same thing when we were children, listening to the bath filling up, while tucked under a towel, or blanket, or in my case, under my duvet, as my bed was on the other side of the wall from the bathtub!

Exactly that! As a kid I'd run the bath, slowly, grab some towels and lie next to the bath just listening to the sounds. Awesome!

@@BananaTV1978I love the sound of the bath running at full speed, but I didn’t want it to end, so I turned it on slowly so I could listen to it fill longer. And, laying on a towel, covered by towel added so much to the experience. It was so comforting. I was in my own world and couldn’t be bothered by anyone or anything. These videos bring back the best memories. 😊

Gives me tingles, starting in the scalp, and radiating throughout my body in ripples.
Can repeat this over and over.
    Totally calming.
    Totally relaxing.
Takes me back to school days, where a bath at home was my only refuge.
    Thank You for providing Sanctuary!

i know what you mean. I get tingles just knowing I’m about to get into the bathtub because I know what an awesome experience it will be. It’s like an old trusted friend. Just knowing it is always a safe place. Turning the water on, setting the temperature, and stepping into that glorious feeling. My little sacred space. My cocoon. I feel wrapped up in warmth and safety the minute I’m in. Once in the tub, I position myself so that I can lay my head down on the side of the tub, partly on my arm. My face is pointed toward the spout as I watch the wonderful healing water pour out of the spout. I prefer low lighting, but if I can’t control that, I drape a dry washcloth over my eyes. It allows for a little light, but also feels just a bit safer as if I’m snuggled up in a blanket and can’t be seen. The sound is like none other as the water hits the tub. Little splashes hitting dry skin causing a delightful shiver. Added to that, the small bathroom acts like an echo chamber. Love how the sound seems even bigger because of that. But, it’s still a small safe place. Ahhhh the magic. Comfy, cozy, and warm. All the feelings that bring me joy and serenity. I don’t care what is going on outside these four walls. Life ceases to exist anywhere except my little sacred space. Being highly sensitive to loud noises and occasional anxiety, it’s so wonderful and cathartic being able to shut out the world for a little while. It’s as if I can be exactly who I am with no judgement because the bath is my unconditional friend. It longs for my companionship as much as I want to be there.

10 years later, do you still listen? 😊 I’d love to know your experience as a child. It was such a safe and peaceful place for me as a child. The one place I could escape worries.

I love reading all the details from others bathtub journeys. It’s particularly interesting that so many of us liked being wrapped in a towel. It’s almost like being swaddled as a baby. Or sometimes you put a robe over your body. I usually curled up in a fetal position. Did you? Many times I sleep this way as well. Feels so safe and warm. I felt so good snuggled up next to the tub listening only to the sound of water coming out and hitting the tub. There was a special echoing sound this way. It may even be similar sound to those who listened on the other side of a wall when a family member took a bath. Anyway, It was as if I was in my own world feeling safe and at peace with everything. Every so often, water drops would hit my skin and give me goosebumps and tingles. I was never so happy. And, wondering if anyone ever reached out their hand to touch the cool tile floor to experience that sensation. Not sure why I did that unless it was just to add another layer of feeling something to the experience. Would be curious to know what you think. Also, I liked to reach in the tub sometimes and feel the warm water against my skin. I did that because I love the feel of water almost as much as the sound.
Then sometimes I would get in the tub at the end and feel the warm water envelop my body, giving me more goosebumps. Most of all I didn’t want the sound to end. I’m so grateful we gave ASMR video recordings now so we can go to sleep experiencing the watery wonders of our childhood.
All of your stories bring me much happiness and tingles. Thank you for sharing and for being one of the water babies in this great community. Would you consider sharing one of your bath stories? Even if it’s very similar it would be nice to hear your version. Be well. 😊

you should do a video where the camera is pointed at the water while it enters the bath :)

I thought about doing it like for my latest 2 hour version, but because the sound and video is looped to make it 2 hours long, you would see the level of the water going up and down! I could do a version like that but it would only last about 10 mins until the bath is full!

My bath filling videos are mainly for relaxation, but water sounds can also be a trigger for ASMR. For me, this sound is just relaxing, or sometimes give me frisson (chills / goosebumps) rather than ASMR, but a few people have left comments on my videos over the years saying that these bath filling videos give them serious ASMR tingles!
