Whenever a bath was run I'd lay down a towel next to the tub, fold another towel as a pillow, then lay down and cover myself with a third towel, pretend I was in a cave, all safe and sound, press my ear up against the bath, while blocking my other ear off, and feel the sound of the running water reverberate through my body, sometimes peak through the small patch of light near my feet, like the entrance to a cave far away, sometimes rest my arm out on the cold tiles on the floor or the side of the bath, I await the one who has done the same...
I have layed on the floor on a rug ; along the side of the filling tub to be able to lay my ear on the warm tub as well as my arms and belly lol. Of course Iol was a 7 year old child. I did have the cover towel as well. That's as close as I got . I also would lay against the wash machine all snuggled up feeling all the vibration and warmth on my back. Felt specially good after playing out in the snow.. lovely childhood memories; such warm cozy ,safe feelings

It is still so hard to imagine that so many of us had very similar experiences with the bathtub. Not just listening to the water, but everything that went along with it. Sort of a ritual if you will. Thinking back to my childhood, I truly thought I was doing something that no one else could possible understand, or think of. Who in their right mind would go into the bathroom and lay on the floor by the tub just to hear it fill? And then, believe that no one would ever think to make a bed out of towels or cover their face with a rag. And, why was I naked? I wasn't in the water. This was so silly, and yet…I didn’t care. The pull was so strong for me to be there that I had no doubts about my methods. I was too young to understand about passions, but it seems I had found mine. I would do what I must to make it an unforgettable experience. And, it was so effortless. All that was important was to be comfortable in my little sanctuary; my respite from the world and its realities. Knowing what I know now, I am filled with such gratitude that many of you around the world experienced something similar. We have these amazing memories to reflect upon that so many will never understand.
I legitimately thought people would find me crazy for the same reason lol but ever since I was a kid I use to play with my toys while the water ran and while growing up I would just lay next to the tub lol A lot of experiences that humans share and we might never realize some of them

While she went to get the pajamas, I would sneak into the bathroom with my favorite comforter, light a candle and turn off the light. I would sit with my bare back against the cool tiles, one arm dangling over the tub, letting the drops splash down my arm concentrating on the sound of the water. Then, I would notice that my skin stood on end, my back arched while the chills would go up from my lower back to my scalp. I would endure the chills a little longer and it would arrive at the moment when I would be forced to wrap myself in my duvet, letting myself slide until I was lying next to the bathtub and noticing how my eyes would close until I fell asleep peacefully. Barcelona, I'd like to go there one day I live in New York State we had the same problem one day it's 70° in the summer and the winter it goes down sometimes to 35 below zero so I know what you mean

It is transcendent letting the water take us away to another place that belongs only to us. My experiences as a child were in the nighttime before bed; however, when I became an adult I made sure to enjoy weekend mornings as well. I would stumble out of bed on a Saturday or Sunday morning and walk straight to the bathroom with a pillow and light blanket while sleepiness still overcame me. After turning on the water and adjusting myself in a fetal position by the tub, I listened to the beautiful echo until I fell back asleep knowing I was safe and fully at peace. Only waking as the drops of water danced on my skin from a full tub. It was magicaI. I want everyone to experience this feeling. It would change the world. 😊

Great sounding bath, the natural sound is because there is no flow cap on the tap, if any one is looking to get the same sound from thier bath, there is a little plastic thing in the end of your tap just unscrew it.
