What did happen to Bert? He was gone when Pauline died, but I've forgotten where.
Bert was still there when Pauline died but not for long. He left in summer or early fall 2007 as he realized he couldn't take care of Jay. When his son Jase returned he left town. Bert is now just somewhere out there - Jay said he was going to find him a few months ago but never did.
Ken George Jones Ok thanks, I'd forgotten that. I wonder if he'll be back? Does he know Joe's dead now,as well?
alex jones He was still there when Joe died. I wish they'd bring him back but I don't really know if they ever will. I guess it depends on whether Jay stays around.
Ken George Jones He might be the one who helps Jay with his problems, which lead up to Billy sacking him for stealing off a dead woman last night!

I think Derek may be coming back. Not sure why, though. I mean the only one he ever bonded with was Pauline, and she's long dead.
He was close to Martin. Martin needs money so that may be the reason. He's also supposed to be involved in the Christmas panto.
