      This install is actually easier with weight on the suspension, but yes a lift would be nice, I'm just spoiled by the space in my shop at this point and don't wanna give it up.

    I thought it was not recommended to jack up the rear of the car using the jack on the center section

      @SpeedysGarage  Před měsícem

      Just don't be ham fisted about it and it's fine. I use something soft on the jack to protect the fins.

    I never had "Wheel hop" from a rolling street start/acceleration... more loss of traction vs. wheel hop. Now at the strip wheel hop is an issue on these cars, Hellcats and Scats. I have the Per4mance Brace, but also needed to add the Cradle Lockout (BMR) and AAD Rear suspension... now that ended the wheel hop, the brace alone did not. Do you plan on the BMR Cradle lockout and the new AAD Rear Aluminum 170 setup?

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  Před měsícem +1

      This one with the wider tires would give me some chatter due to stick/slip gone now. I'll get more data at the track. I had BMR Lockouts on Go Man Go and they added a bit more NVH than I like so I'm going to try to avoid them on the 170.

      @harleydream4u Před měsícem +1

      @@SpeedysGarage I have wider, 315's MT ET R's on 20x11's out back... BMR does not give me any NVH, just does its job. Per4mance Brace, BMR Lockout, and the AAD rear was golden for me at the track. I do not race on the street... too many road warriors doing that making comical CZcams videos of their totaled cars. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

    How did you fix that p0850, coming from a forum about 6 years old, saw you had the same problem, was it the transmission itself having issues? How did it turn out? My car won’t park and flashes P on shifter, I read how it says you must reset it? I hope thats true

  • @rxs20
    @rxs20 Před měsícem +1

    would starting the large horizontal/longitudinal bolt before the two smaller vertical bolts that pick up the nut plates made it easier to support and position the brace as opposed to holding the brace, positioning the nuts and starting the vertical bolts?

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  Před měsícem +2

      Maybe. It wasn't that bad to get them going, just had to hold my mouth right. I thought about doing as you suggest but I worried about cross threading the upper bolts inadvertently.

      @@SpeedysGarage that doesn’t even make sense guy. What does this $600 brace do for the car? Simple question . Does it improve traction or stability? That’s all I trying to ask.

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  Před měsícem

      I can't tell if you're just messing with me as I thought everyone knew about these braces, but the Hellcat diffs have a history of failing in dramatic fashion, especially at the drag strip. When they fail it usually takes out a bunch of other parts like drive shaft, axle(s), and does some body damage in the process. People have said repairs were very expensive when this happens. The primary benefit of this part is it strengthens the diff preventing the breakage, and adds some insurance in that if it does break the brace holds it together preventing further damage. Secondary benefit is firming up the movement of the diff which aids in preventing wheel hop. Hope that helps.

    • @flicksifyr6793
      @flicksifyr6793 Před měsícem

      No affect on warranty as far as im aware. Maybe remove it if your differential breaks under warranty. Those dealerships will find any excuse not to do warranty work.
