My dad has a special talent for coming in for the last 5 minutes of a detective story. He doesn't even like TV. And he sits down and goes:
"Who is that?"
"Why is she so upset?"
"How did the detective know that?"
etc etc etc

"Turn over to the news" was the most relatable bit for me xD Whenever I visit my parents my mam still does that. We could be watching a live concert of her favourite artist, or her favourite show, or an important match, and she'd still insist on switching to the news.

These characters are probably the best. Hog does an excellent representation of a typical mother and Foil is a very convincing moody teenage son.

haha reminds of the day my Dad went to the video store to get a dvd for the family to watch. He was a big fan on monty python and John Cleese, so he came back with a John Cleese video. He said "I got us a comedy!" Whole family including my kid sister and her boy friend sit down to watch it. It was a PORN video yes, with john cleese in it. total uncomfortable silence. we all just sat there. no one knew what to do. Finally my Dad makes some excuse to leave the room. after he left I looked at my mom and said- I think Dad goofed. We should turn this off. My Mom breathed a sigh of relief and turned it off. No one ever spoke of the video again. and Dad did not pick out any more videos for us to watch. He was not allowed to. hahahaaaa
