My favorite part is how Frank walks out and the body guard is right behind him without a word spoken.
When you are protecting a client where else are you going to be? When the client gets up to go somewhere do you think you ask: "Would you like me to come with you?"
Course not! You have one job and that is to ALWAYS BE COVERING YOUR CLIENT. End of story.
FYI.........Used to be a body guard for some high profile people. Never once asked: "should I come with you?"

True but after Bumpy died, Tango believed he could tax dealers 20% that operated in the neighborhood, including Frank. In their interaction where Frank was having coffee, Frank dismissed all that because Tango didn’t have the authority to do so. When redtop gave Tango the package, he never intended on paying Frank because he was trying to one up Frank for the tax ordeal.

Agreed! The only one that stands out to me a little bit more is the scene from Sicario when Benicio Del Toro shot the Cartel’s leaders kids and wife in front of him before killing him last. That’s was the most cold blooded thing I’ve ever seen.

Interesting fact, Idris Elba was so surprised by the discharge from the gun (there was no blank so he was safe but still surprised) he fell backwards and yelled out, "I've been shot!"
Frank took the pains to empty the granulated sugar in the jar into a plate on the table because he didn't want to waste it.
He very well could have tossed the sugar into the street as he stepped out of the diner, yet he had no second thoughts about 'wasting' Tango's life.

Nope. The pouring of the sugar is a silent signal to his fellow gangsters. He's saying, "Shit's about to go down. Keep an eye open."
The character he plays is quite much of a gentleman. In the beginning of the movie, that man he killed poured his drink on the table and didn't clean, so he politely did it and put the glass on a coater in a act of pure class.
Denzel Washington is such a magnetic actor. He has every quality that you look for in a movie star. And, he can flat out act. I remember the late Gene Siskel nominated him for 007. I agree.

Very few characters in cinema truly embody the idea of "fuck around and find out", Denzel's portrayal of Frank is one of those characters.
The best thing about this scene is not how Denzel killed Idris Elba. But the way he walked over to him and shot him in the head in broad daylight, and returned to his brothers and cousins like he had gone only for a piss...is true Gangsta OG Style!

What's interesting is that the real Frank Lucas was nothing like his portrayal in this movie....in fact Frank's personality was actually similar to the way they portrayed Nicky Barnes...and Nicky was more like Denzel's character in real life. Old timers that knew both men have stated this....it's like Nicky and Frank switched their personas for this movie
