*0000 'quad-Ought' buckshot might work better in 10 gauge or 8 gauge. .490" or.495" stack in pairs in a 1" bore PUNT GUN. PROBABLY, the 'punt gun' is best enjoyed MOUNTED to a punt or 'boat'. I do remember Wade mentioning that .29" and .31" shot work very well on deer.... from 12 or 20 gauge NORMAL shotguns.*

Well with a couple of practice loads I finally got these quad loads to work,i had the dimpling issue, but I loaded up 15 rounds finally and went to my range I tried 3 different chokes In my 11-87 super mag with my best results being at 40 yard's but my Mossberg 835 and the kicks choke I got consistent 8 pellets out to 90 yard's same with my 870 pump and just for laughs i sent 2 through my old Marlin goose gun 36" full choke, switched to my rifle range 150 yard's and both shells put 5 out of 8 pellets in a 7" circle at 150 Yard's and penetrated 2 sheets of 3/4" marine plywood,mr,rush you have taken what use to be a limited range weapon and turned it Into a deer killer out to 30-30 ranges I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge

Shareding cheddite hull loading 10 0000 buck tried 37 to 39gr blue dot with same results. All 10 in a 14" patern at 60 yards is the cheddite hull to thin?

Those big pellets need a lot of lube or they will shred the hull! I use Alox and graphite on mine. even if I powder-coat the quads, I still coat them in Alox simply because they fit so tite in the hull.
