3am is absurd, no matter how you slice it.
No one is to be on top form.
The live crowd will hate it - the taxis will hate it - there will be no public transport. People will be getting back to their hotels at 6am, and they'll have to vacate at 11am or they'll be penalsed.
People will struggle to stay awake till then.
Anyone having a UFC party/social night will struggle to keep people entertained till 3am.
There's a good chance that the live crowd will be hammered by 3am - leading to a hostile, partisan crowd
Everyone loses except for US West Coast PPV viewers.
    It's dumb, dumb and dumber
This could backfire on the UFC organisation.
Even an 11pm - 1am main event schedule would make much more sense.

i've been a fan of ufc since i was in short pants, i actually remember ufc 1 but i've never been to an event. i decided when i heard they were coming to my home town, with one of my current fav fighters (Aspinall) i'd treat myself, i have 2 kids, a wife, a cat and a dog so i dont splurge much on myself but this felt different, this felt right when i heard my favourite show was coming to town and i was in a position after all these years to finally see THE ufc LIVE. i was so pumped. i still want to go but this just feels like a bit of a slap in the nuts, like i'm seen as some kinda second class fan. i love martial arts and combat sports, they are important to me and mma and the ufc are, to me, the epitome. going to this event is special to me. but now it feels tarnished.

"Prime Time" for the US is 8pm EST. Yet UFC main cards don't start until midnight (at least). Why?
They don't start the Super Bowl late at night, they don't start the NBA Finals late at night. Or the Stanley Cup Finals, or the World Series, or anything... except for boxing, in Vegas.
I don't know why the UFC continues to copy boxing's 10-point scoring system and late night main events. I think most people would prefer a normal time. Especially when the local audience is asked to stay up for a main event at 5am. It's ridiculous.

I got to have a killer breakfast/brunch at my favorite bar broadcasting the ppv, had drinks during the fights, and then took a nap before going out for the evening. The ones stateside (US) are fine, but I just do them at home mostly since it's kinda a pain in the ass staying out at the bars here and Dana didn't catch all of us in his sweeping pirate hunt. :P

UFC is missing an opportunity with this. US fans generally complain about how late the main events start on ET & this would be a chance to see how moving the car up a couple of hours would work. Although I think 1 thing that is the availability of be public transport as with the card starting that late people can get the last trains into Manchester & it will finish so late that the first trains of Sunday morning will have started, a hybrid start time may have resulted in it finishing in the early hours BST and there being no trains home.

The time of the card is horrific but do you know what’s worse? They are most likely going to have Edwards vs Belal 2 and Aspinall vs Blaydes 2 as the two main fights on the card. These fights are not bad by any stretch of the imagination but they are when you consider the fact that they are catering towards US audiences who will most likely look at those names and go na I’ll watch the highlights or I will stream it illegally. I’d have no issue paying good money to go watch those fights in England if the time zone was normal for English people. However now ima just skip going and watch it in the comfort of my home like I normally do
