*Fact is: 100% Truth is: that Translation >> "the Clear Qur'an" is as Corrupt as are other over 100 corrupt translations. We have studied all. These guys tamper translation of Quran deliberately in order to RECONCILE their some False Beliefs with Quran. If I was sitting with that man Mustafa in your show: I could prove in front of his face that he has tampered translation of several verses*
Those their false beliefs (I have mentioned above) which they Superimpose on Quran, are based on fabricated stories of Sunnah and Hadiths. So in order to accord their those forged hadiths with Quran; they deliberately tamper translation of Quran.
*There is ONLY AND ONLY one CORRECT way to understand Quran correctly, and that way is: learn basic Arabic, and then Understand Quran only by Quran. This means: Quranic verses are interconnected like brain neurons, and in this way: verses explain each other in multifaceted forms. A Person who will SUPERIMPOSE on Infallible Quran of Infallible God, fallible books of fallible men, will not understand Quran correctly even in 1200 years. This is the reason. Mustafa Khattab and his Sectarian Ancestors are failed to understand Quran past 1200 years. Because instead of understanding Quran through only Quran's own Tasreef, they superimpose on Quran forged hadiths and in this way: they change translation of several verses in some cases 180 degree opposite.*
I can post here numerous example of Tampering which Mustafa has done in his translation but that will me a Book. Just I will show only two examples here.
Following translation is of Mustafa "from Clear Quran" for verse 10:46 which talks about the death of Last Prophet Mohammad. Following translation is CORRECT.
Quran 10:46 _Whether We show you ˹O Prophet˺ some of what We threaten them with, or _*_cause you to die_*_ ˹before that˺, to Us is their return and Allah is a Witness over what they do_
Now read translation of verse 5:117 done by same Mustafa in Clear Quran which he has badly tampered in order to impose on Quran his one False Beleif.
      Quran 5:117 _
I never told them anything except what You ordered me to say: “Worship Allah-my Lord and your Lord!” And I was witness over them as long as I remained among them. *But when You took me,* You were the Witness over them-and You are a Witness over all things._
Have you notices; how has this Dajjal played with Book of God? I will explain: In verse 10:46, word a connotation of word WAFAT=DEATH is used which is "natawaffayannaka نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ .In this verse, he has translated word WAFAT as death for the death of Prophet Mohamamd, which is Correct.
On the contrary when same Word WAFAt=DEATH is appeared in connotation of "tawaffaytani تَوَفَّيْتَنِى "; now instead of translating it as death, he has translated as "*But when You took me,*. He did so support a fable of Church in which this kind of People believe. This is 100% TAMPERING of Book of God.
Now let we see other verse 5:1 which Mustafa has translated as under which is 100% wrong.
Quran 5:1 _O believers! Honour your obligations. _*_All grazing livestock has been made lawful to you_*_ - except what is hereby announced to you and hunting while on pilgrimage. Indeed, Allah commands what He wills._
Like other translators have been doing wrong translation of words "bahima-tul-an'am بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ "; he too has done wrong as **All grazing livestock*
So according to his wrong translation, all those animals are Halal which eat grass. Now Question is: Elephant and Hippo also eat Grass. Will Mustafa Khattab eat meat of Hippo or Elephant? I am sure, he will not. In fact, according to Quran, meat of Elephant, Rabbit, donkey, horse, mule and Hippo is as Haram as is of Swine. No difference. But these guys do not understand Quran. According to Quran, Zebra is Haram but Giraffe is Halal.
You can see beauty of Quran that just in two words ""bahima-tul-an'am"; Quran makes clear that on whole planet, which Animal is Haram and which is Halal. Because I understand the meaning of "bahima-tul-an'am, so bring to me any animal; within two minutes I will tell you,. if that is Halal or Haran.
These guys get PhD's but do not use their brains. Quran has called Grass eating Aninals "In'am". If "bahima-tul-an'am were same as "In'am", then why has Quran used two different terms! Fact is: "bahima-tul-an'am is a Special group of Animals aming Grass eating Animals.

I am busy translating The Quran in Afrikaans, from The Arabic. In my Translation, I also contribute to The Afrikaans language, much as Martin Luther did to German and Khalil Gibran did with his writing in English.
Afrikaans is a great language, and can learn from The Style of The Quran.
We now have many Muslim and Non Muslim Westen and Asian Scholars.
And credentials is not restricted as they suffered before or recently. So, I have not gained credentials from Al Azar as an example or Havrard to suite The US. I don't need it here from our SUN, to publish, but will make it perhaps over to SUN to preserve it as a contribution to Afrikaans.

    17:30 synecdoche
Synecdoche is a figure of speech that uses a part of something to refer to the whole (e.g., using the word “wheels” to refer to a car). Sometimes, synecdoche involves using the whole to refer to a part (e.g., referring to the Brazilian football team as “Brazil”).

May God bless you for your work and time that you dedicate to Islam. This is just an opinion: there is something called quality control to end with the best project. Most people do not like to get their work to get criticized, sometimes they take it too personal, that’s why most organizations hire professionals to check on projects and the quality of the work that have been done. Your project is something holly for all Muslims, that it is not personal to you! From your understanding and background you will translate and interpret the Quran based on your intellect. Just be open minded that all of people will not agree with your project because it will open another door of conflicts! May Allah reward you for your work, but for me the traditional translation is more practical especially when the Quran has also explanation of some verses.

  • @Amourbenh

Thanks dear Dr Mustafa for your efforts to interpret the Quran. May God Shower Grace and Blessings upon. Thanks to you, too, dear Paul for your Blogging Theology outreach. May God Bless you.
For Dr. Mustafa: Just a constructive criticism of the interpretation of the verses 55:19-20.
مرج البحرين يلتقيان. بينهما برزخ لا يبغيان
The interpretation of the word البحرين would be either two bodies of water or two seas, but not as Dr Mustafa said:
"two bodies of ˹fresh and salt˺ water".
Why? The two bodies of water are of the same nature - here both are salty but with two different salinities, such as the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean. The barrier between these two different salty waters (برزخ) is gradual. And, as it was clarified in verse 25:53 , the barrier between the two bodies of water, one salty and the other fresh, is impassable (برزخا وحجرا محجورا).
This is backed by hard science and facts on the ground: remote sensing/satellite imagery findings!
    Still, God Knows best!
May God Help Dr Mustapha and all of us render the meanings of the Quran as best as we can.

Bruh, I'm 32 years old. I've been Muslim my entire life and Wallahi, I randomly found a copy of The Clear Quran during the first week of Ramadan in March, and I haven't put it down yet. (It's literally right next to me as I type this) This is also they very first Quran that I have ever owned.
I've read the Quran many times throughout my life, but perhaps only superficially, because I've never quite understood it until I began reading the Clear Quran. Perhaps I wasn't ready to receive the profound truth of the Quran until now, but I thank Allah, The Clear Quran, and Mustafa, for what I now consider to be the single most important book that I will ever read in this lifetime, especially during a time when I needed it the most.
I had no idea that The Clear Quran existed until it crossed my path, and I honestly feel as if my life is now complete because of it. I pray for the success of Mustafa in this lifetime and in the next, as sincerely as I pray for my own.

    B. Even a perfect arabic speaker and schollar will not have the full understanding of what Allah wants to say in a particular aya, even if it is one of the clear ones. Of course we agree in most of the meaning or what Allah wants to communicate, because he has revealed it in clear Arabic so we can understand and know Him, but there will be ever an epistemologyc last gap, in which we cannot grasp Him "in the measure that it is appropriate for Himself", and that in some instance what we can do is just to "recite" it to allow it to be by itself in its proper way.
In fact, in some views of the Quarinc exegesis, although the rhetoric and metaphorical are important, the exact wording (I.e. why Allah just used one wording in exclusion of other), are an elemental key for the understanding and interpretation of the message (khitab).
Thank you for your insightful videos and teachings!!! May Allah reward you!!!

The best one I’ve found that is super easy to follow is The Meaning of Quran for Children by Yahya Emerick.. they really don’t have to put in for Children part because it is perfect for adults.. once you are done that, there is an “adult” version by the same author that provides even more background; the translation is the same but with more context. While the book looks thick it is easy to get through, I’ve bought it for my self, my kids, even my 65+ year old mom loved it and read it through.

In my country we say that, for example if someone came to me and said can you please give my friend something bla bla, we usually say “okey I will do it for your face” hahaha, it doesn’t make sense in English but in our mind it’s like I’m doing it for you, and I speak Arabic and I can’t 100% understand the Quran I need tafsir to understand it, the Arabic in the Quran isn’t a normal Arabic, it’s so accurate, literally so so accurate

The Quran in other languages can be meanings only, there are verses which Allah SWT only knows their real meanings. One can do his best and that's why we have to say Allah knows best ! Salam.

The matter of the Attributes of Allah is exactly as you explained, spot on and you've stayed within the methods of Ahlus Sunnah from the Classical times. And Paul, it's good that you ignore those fools who keep trying to look for mistakes, majority of them don't even understand except one angle of those issues to begin then try to force it on others as they only see through that lens!

Quran can better be understood by its Taffseers and devinely guided successors of prophet Mohammad pbuh and he himself. Translation helps but deep knowledge comes with authentic means of research. Quran hold the universe and it has many layers of knowledge which can only come with keen interest and pure heart, soul of the reader. In short, to understand Quran comes from the Teacher who Mets good criteria to be a teacher in this matter

Not having the exact literal translation is also good because there are people who have anthropomorphic beliefs after reading literal translations. Since the early times, Muslims left the interpretation to 'it is as Allah intended ' (original Athari school) or interpreted to what it could mean with the 'Ta'awil' (Ashari and Maturidi schools)

Al-Hijr (The Rocky Tract) 15:9 " It is certainly Allah, Who revealed the Quran, and it is certainly Allah, Who will preserve it."
If Anyone think, the Quran Translation is not correct, then try to find good Translation , or try to Translate your own, if you can. Don't blame others. Almighty Allah IS enough to preserve The Quran.
    Al-Quran / Al-Imran 3:133-134)
“… A garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous. Who donate in prosperity and adversity, and who restrain anger and pardon others. And Allah loves the good-doers."
