Nowadays we pay extra for ad free viewing, but here we are watching hours of hours of just commercials. Wish we can turn back time, go back to the 90's and early 2000's. I would do anything to go back.
Same
Commercials were so much better back then
Me too.
Same
I keep watching a bunch of these videos thinking the same thing
I miss the year 2000 so much. I was 8-9 years old and life was so simple and carefree.
Almost makes me want to cry a little. Nostalgia hits hard
This was the year that kicked off the decade. The 2000s was an experimental era of technology
Ahhhh. Back before the crippling depression. Those were the days
That tivo commercial got me in the first half ngl
I read this first and that still caught me off guard
Ahhhhh
yoooo me too
No kidding
I feel like a lot of these commercials are unlocking childhood memories.
I like these comps more than the other channels that do these. I listen/watch these while I work. They're kind of comforting, but I also find these fascinating as a window into the past, our old technology, and the approaches to marketing at the time. It's interesting to compare the assumptions and implications of people and life in these to how things are now. The 2000's era has a markedly different feeling than the 1990's and today. This was a hopeful time, but also a crossroads between old and new technology. There was a sliver in time where we had flat screen TV's, but most things were still in 4:3. For some reason that kind of awkward yet hopeful transition point stands out in these for me. I hope you keep uploading these in a raw format such as you are, without throwing in promos for your own youtube. This looks just as it would have right from the VHS
Glad you enjoy them. Thanks for watching!
The bruce cambell cameo was legendary haha!
Your wrong
@@botulismcasserole9832 You're*
@@botulismcasserole9832 you're*
Picture a world where two losers with no argument other than an apostrophe act like it really matters! Nvm we no longer have to.
@@botulismcasserole9832 That was the lamest comeback ever dude 😂 Take a joke, crybaby
That first commercial was epic. Miss these days.
I miss my childhood: the 2000s were awesome!
💯
I got flashbacks of chat rooms and sexual spam mail when I saw that AOL commercial
A/S/L?
dam you old. i was only born in 2004
They're interrupting my commercials with commercials
A lot of these commercials take me back to when I was a kid
It was right then and there, we thought we would see the start of a new era and be more fun then the 90s until 9/11 happened then that was a wake up call it was a rude awakening.
But ooo the nostalgia hits hard
I've always remembered that Sci Fi Santa jingle. Makes me happy seeing it here.
Slaps hard.
I really loved the second Cast Away TV spot because it has some great music!
The weird thing about this is the fact that I am watching all these ads on a futuristic device that wasn't even invented at the time.
Nice blast from the past!! 2000 the start of a new fun decade!!!
Lol I really really don't like anything past the year 1999
@@FUCKINGENIOUS I agree the 90s were better but the first few years of the 2000s was fun to be a kid with all the toys, video games and music.
Pretty fun, up till about September 11, 2001
you mean the next couple decades of war? yep.
I loved the late 90s early 2000s. But I don’t care for 2005-2009 of the 00s...
Oh wow I so remember these. I was in the final months of being in the Air Force at Hill AFB, UT. I am feeling nostalgic right now and sad for these days to live through them again.
Surprised to see that name in the comments, stopped me in my tracks. I was born on that base and have lived 10 minutes from it most my life besides when we lived in Germany than New Jersey when I was a baby.
@@pupinskimcgee My wife and I lived down in Layton on Church and Gordon. As I think about that area my wife and I actually miss it.
Why am I waiting for my show to come back on? Hahah
I was feeling that too. Really is a familiar start to something, here !
3:13 "Today I sent my first email and it was easy" lol sooo much excitement in the voice
Back when AOL was considered fast.
I'm sorry Wilson!!!
Love this, SciFi was a constant staple of my preteen/early teen years in this period. I had completely forgotten about that Invisible Man series, though. I think I was really into it back then!
Holy shit the pokemon Burger King ads. I was fucking pissed when I found out those weren't real gameboys.
We all were.
Ikr
Back before everyone went insane
In case anyone was wondering the song for the Midnight Club Street Racing ad is Aril Brikha - Groove La Chord
Evil Dead Hail to the King was NOT released on PS2. It was on PS1.
That tivo commercial was great
Genuinely laughed out loud
That zip drive ad was perfect.
You know you're getting old, when early 2000's content gives you nostalgia.
Somebody recorded a lot of Sci-fi channel lol.
The 1990's weren't over yet...
Lol they were long over. No one was thinking of the 90s in 2000
@@tsurek nah, the 90's ended in mid 2001.
@@wannabesteve777 Many comments say they felt the 90s vibe ended around 2003.
@@NostalgiCrazy as a person born in 1986, I will agree with that to a certain extent. Also I think 911 fucked it all up too. On the other hand, yes I see it too. Starting from 2004 and later shit got serious somewhat in my life.
@@tsurek As a teenager at the time I can confidently say that anyone who claims to have noticed some 'night and day' difference between the culture in 97-2000 is most likely lying. Many of the same shows from the late 90's were still in syndication. The same music was still in rotation, in fact many of the boy bands formed in the early/mid 90s were still making music, some well into the early 2000's. And don't get me started on ps1, dreamcast and gameboy, they didn't exactly stop making games when the new millennium rolled around. Just a few examples.
I was 11 in 2000 wow memories breaking nights playing pokemon yellow on my Gameboy color hiding late nights from my parents lol
Everybody always praises the 90’s but the 2000’s will always remain my favorite
Yep early 2000s music is the shit
I love both eras
@@thestranger9608 me too
Give it 5-10 years until there’s gonna be nationwide nostalgia for the 2000s
Give it 5-10 years until there’s gonna be nationwide nostalgia for the 2000s
CZcams is kinda like a time machine. Seeing these commercials really takes me back.😊
Oh man I forgot all about that SciFi Santa ad. I have many good memories of watching old horror movies on SciFi late at night
I’m miss old days
0:24 Help! Bruce Cambell’s chasing me!!!
Lmao!
memories...
Now that I watched the 30 cast away commercial, i guess I don't need to see the movie since it showed us everything.
Right 😂
damn, i'm getting old huh
LMAO! The Skeeter!
I wonder why Bruce Campbell wanted to chase that guy who had an electric hedge trimmer for his right hand?
Wow that America Online number is still in service
Is it still AOL?
@@scdu there are real rural areas that can only still get AOL and AOL still provides.
2001 really was when the 90's ended.
5:22 I remember it all too well Blizzard!
the skeeter number . it's a medical supplies place now lol
The end of a era for when you would call a 800 number to order something…lol
thats still a thing bro..
@@botulismcasserole9832 it’s a scarce thing
@@MikeyBats thank god for that honestly. Dealing with that and the customer service was always legit painful.
WHY DOES THIS VIDEO HAVE ADS CZcams?!?! IT IS ALREADY ADS!
The Castaway trailer spoils the movie
Arrerggggh I got old dude...
McDonald’s should do a movie sweepstakes thing again
Probably a mob took control of it like a mob did with McDonald's monopoly sweepstakes
That v8 commercial would never fly nowdays
Did I just see the 1st emoji back in the 2000S tv commercials 😢
the number of aol disks that got thrown in the trash....................omg
AOL 6.0 is so fast bro.
Ngl if i saw that donkey kong Gameboy commercial as a kid i would cover my eyes because of the large unsettling lips that popped out of nowhere
I saw cast away in the theaters.
Watched the whole thing in that commercial
@@waverazor Right? Lol
This was November/ December 2000
I love the bruce Campbell one
Castaway ad showed the whole movie
Basically 😂
Why can't we just build a time machine so we can go back to the 2000s I miss being a kid
Man, I miss the old Scifi channel. I used to stay up for 2 days watching ads and horror films on there. It's definitely not what it used to be now. Who misses the Burger king and McDonald's ads? I sure do.
I wonder if pizza hut still has the insider now 🤔
Next time I get tipsy I'm gonna try and flirt with a girl just like the guy from the V8 commercial. 😅🥴🍺
Anybody know what song plays here at 11:00 or at least know where I can find more old breakbeat techno type music from the early 2000s that I can find that sound like this
i'm glad science fiction as a genre was able to survive corporate cable television's attempt to kill it.
Foreskins were tighter
Dang ! when the movie gone start
Wtf kind of hellscape did that Tivo commercial come from? 2:15
Right before the Divergence.
2:33
Somebody just recorded the sci-fi channel and all its promos and commercials. Still interesting
Everything was better in the 90s & 2000s
I think the skeeter is pretty funny Aah skeet skeet skeet.. oh 2000 wow I wonder if now in 2021 one day we will look at the new ads and say...wtf ^_^
Midnight club!
i hate how these videos are so low quality i assure you ..... it is blurry from youtube lol on the TV they are clear
Does anyone remember "I'm Done with the Dish"
My fellows.
…..and just like that fast,, it’s 2023
“C u there”
well im working on such a thing in VR, a kids room. with actual hours of live tv pulled from archive online. also ps1,nes,sega system run on 2 vr tv's....kids room circa 2003-2005
ah zipdisk
skipping ads to watch ads
10:00
Found this high, marked this one cuz its odd but i love the ambience in headphones
Edit: marking every sci fi commercial now. These are so oddly satisfying
12:19
21:08
omg I graduated in 2003 and world was so different and alot better after 2010 the world went lost especially in 2021. smh
