Awesome! I just did another test the other day, and the PACE 3 was just as accurate as the Vertix 2, and more accurate than the APEX 2 Pro.
Been waiting for the PACE 2 to have hiking mode and now they're finally doing it! 😊

Curious what difference it will make from walking mode?
@@JeroenCoelen hike mode has a "resume later" option given that sometimes camping is required to finish a whole hiking activity. Walk & Run mode doesn't have that option.

It is a great watch (Both are)
I also expect the Coros Pace 3 to get the Topo Map feature at some point in the future. My reasoning for this assumption:
- The older Coros Apex Pro has the same internal storage size (4GB) as the new Coros Pace 3 (4GB) and that one did get the Topo Map feature afterwards. So it's just a matter of time when this will happen to the Pace 3 as well. Not the whole world of course because of the small internal storage size, but definitely selected map sizes.

That would happen when Coros Apex 3 and Apex 3 pro come to the market. Otherwise nobody would buy the Apex 2 Pro anymore.

I bought an Apex 2 about a month ago and honestly i find it weird that they didn't include Dual frequency in the Apex 2 but the pace 3 does.
I agree.
It's a hardware limitation where the smaller size of APEX 2 and the metal case doesn't allow us to build a dual frequency antenna into APEX 2.

Yes it’s touchscreen, but you can’t actually tap the screen on those two to select things. You have to use the digital dial. On the PACE 3 you can tap the screen
Is it worth the upgrade from the pace 2? The fact that they adding hiking and trail running to pace 2 makes it hard to leave that watch. Only the new heart rate and dual band make the pace 3 appealing.
Yeah if you don't need the updates, the PACE 2 is still a great watch!
Apex2 ($349) only has all-system gps compare to cheaper model like Pace 3. I bought Apex2 & had to return it for a reason . I did few runs & all of them are short in distance. even my old apex 42 give me better gps result than Apex2 in all-system mode. I love the size of Apex2 just wish it come out with dual frequency.
Yeah the PACE 3 having dual frequency is crazy!
I had the same question and the CEO replied to me and said it’s a hardware limitation. The smaller size of the Apex 2 and the metal housing doesn’t allow them to fit a dual frequency antenna inside of it.
My apex 2 also is short on all my regular runs I do. Very annoying. Seems to be an issue with most apex 2’s.

The COROS app is in the App Store. There is no desktop version. However, you can access your data via a website. The COROS app will sync to Strava.
Really want to see how much better it is around tall buildings.

That table came directly from COROS. You are correct though; I confirmed the FR255 does have the barometer, altimeter, and other sensors.

I have not had the chance to try the Garmin 165. It looks like a good watch too; the display is definitely better. Battery life will be better on the COROS. check out Chase The Summits video on the 165; he compares it to the Pace 3.
Hello, lifelong runner/cyclist here, but I've never used a sports smartwatch and I'm leaning towards this one after trying a basic G-Shock G-Lide, and I have a question: With watches like this, I don't need to track with Strava or whatever on my phone and it's enough (and hopefully better?) to only track with the watch, correct?

That’s correct. The watch will track very accurately. You can connect the COROS app to Strava if you want your activities to sync to Strava, but you don’t have to and you don’t have to carry a phone with you when you cycle.

Between this and forerunner 255 which do u prefer for runner ? I'm searching for running watch for a half marathon :)
Both are fine for marathon training. If you need Spotify/ music or podcast on your watch than take 255 music. Beside this safe the money and take the pace 3. Yes there is a mp3 function but thats not comparable.
I'm a happy Garmin 265 user and love my podcasts while running.
But this Pace 3 is a great package for all how don't need this!
That is a personal preference. Both are great watches. However, the PACE 3 has better battery life and weighs less, so if those are important to you, then I would choose the PACE 3.
If you could get both at the same price which would you pick?
@@chrisg118 Personally I would choose the COROS PACE 3, as I prefer the COROS ecosystem over Garmin.
@@scherry2900255 or 245 in all cases. The Coros build so poorly it's ewaste after 3 to 5 years. The measurements are less exact and the analyses less refined.
Is there a mode or setting to help people with poor eyesight handicap? What I mean is like removing all the unnecessary decorations and details (I see a lot of them in the pictures of this watch, people with good eyesight don't realise how these are detrimental for us with handicap) and focus the UI design on one big number-data at a time per each screen? The screen is big enough for me, but the graphic design wastes this space.
As for the watch face, you can customize it now. So you can put just the time and date on the screen if you like. YOu can also customize the activity screens. The fewer metrics you put on the screen, the larger the text.
I wish they upgraded the screen.

Is there any lag in GPS? Some reviewers mentioned by to 10 seconds before you would get your data.
I didn’t notice any delay in gps. There is a bit of delay in the heart rate. In my recent testing, I’ve noticed the GPS is one of the most accurate tracks when compared to the other COROS watches, and the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Can anyone who has used the Pace 3 tell me about the GPS lag - instant pace while running, and with Heart Rate still lagging as much as the Pace 2?
The pace seems to be quicker to read than on the PACE 2. Same for heart rate

Garmin Forerunner 265/Venu 3 or Pace 3? For a runner and weightlifting but for an everyday watch to replace my apple!
Either the F265 or Pace 3. Both are great watches.

Could anyone answer my query, I'm new to running and looking for watch which can help me train by setting goals and times and what pace to run at, can this watch do that sort of a programmed training, inbuilt or otherwise?
Yes you can do structured workouts.

Waterproof? I mean you can wear it in the shower and swim in it.
All bands are waterproof. They are not made from toilet paper...
