Thanks for your insightful comments. It takes quite a bit for an artist to become well known. Years of exposure, with Tori only really getting started the past couple of years. Aggressive marketing, record label signings, appearance on TV shows, etc. The right breaks have to occur for an artist to be truly discovered. With that said, I discovered her just three or four months ago online and she has become one of my top female vocalists. Extremely talented and from what I understand very humble. There are lots of great singers that are unknown and I have been discovering them online for the past few years. Tori certainly deserves to be known all over the world as her voice is timeless and we haven't seen a voice like this for 50 years. In fact she sounds very much like Karen Carpenter.

Thank you Kings for the great shout out. My name is (Spee Gel) and Tori is (Ha Lubb) per her dad, so that’s how I say to pronounce it. Though I think you said her name just fine, maybe I wrote it earlier. You are very welcome for the coffee and recommendation. I was introduced to Tori by CZcams last October and like you, could not believe I didn’t see one reaction. Just after I found her she dropped The Bacharach/David Medley that Carpenters did live in 1970 and was on their third album. I had a full length video for reactions and my adventure began. My initial criteria was the reactor had to know who Carpenters were. It’s been a ride ever since with Tori’s videos/songs getting better and better. We started with mind blowing excellence and are going up.
The one thing I would note is the other half of this video is the genius of Jim Wilkas. He played 3 instruments and did all the technology, audio and video. This is a mind-blowing project. If he stops by he can fill in the details. I’ll just say it was a world wide effort with the musicians and it started four years ago and stopped with the tragic passing of the lead vocalist. Jim was introduced to Tori like me with a CZcams recommendation. He saw a video of hers that I mentioned above. He felt it needed “more Richard” so he added himself harmonizing the male low voice. Showed it to Tori, she loved it. He released the modified version and a collaboration was born. You just saw the first result. He is hard at work on cover #2, Close To You.
In the mean time I’m treating you to one more piping hot caffeinated beverage. And the duo version of The Medley. For reference, Tori’s half was from last October. Jim’s half was from this past February and he put the two pieces together. For the music, Tori used a Richard C. Created Karaoke track for the Japanese market. She did everything else, voices, editing, layering. Then Jim matched what she was doing, triple track harmonies, and added his side. What was great became better. Here’s the link, we’ll keep you up to date on the Tori Express. ❤

    Edit:
Coffee bought. I also checked my original coffee. It was my mistake. I wanted to link WOJB but linked “Eyes” instead. Either way you can’t go wrong. I usually open with WOJB because,,,, well you just saw why. The Burt Bacharach, Hal David Medley was performed live on the classic American variety show, The Ed Sullivan Show in 1970. I’m going to link that performance as a reference video. It may be worthy of its own reaction as it’s just nuts. Karen is live drumming and singing outside of a hospital. Crazy and GOAT.
