I used to try so hard to style my hair. I got a similar cut inspired by the pomp video he did and I legit just put product in my hair. and let it dry after coming it back and it parted naturally and looked amazing. really diverse styles and different all the time but still reminiscent of a pompadour. Dan is a legend

A great artist, I like the way you work
great tip with smaller sections into the back, i think though most guys who get this guy end up going shorter, theres no need to have it that long ontop and means way more to maintain. Usually takes them a few trims to work it out though. Maybe you could do a series dan on people growing their hair out, whereby a customers states they are growing it LONG but only want you to "thin it out"

Would this be an ideal haircut if you’re letting your hair grow? Would it help with the awkward stage? I’m growing my hair out and but going on job interviews where I need to be presentable. How would I be able to explain this cut to my barber?
Definitely! You'll need quite a lot of length on top. But when growing out your hair it's always great to take the sides a little shorter and just add some general shape to it. Hair doesn't normally grow into shape, so just doing things like getting the hair taken off your ears, cleaning up the neckline and levelling the hair on top can really can make a difference

It's so hard to find people that could cut medium length men's hair. There's very little space for errors because it will show and people tend to go full ham on "trimming" that I end up with a buzz cut lol
