Wahrscheinlich unbekannt: Dieser Tanz wurde vor langer Zeit ausgeführt mit gekreuzten Säbeln, bei denen die scharfe Seite nach oben gerichtet war. Probably unknown: This dance was fullfilled with the scharp edge of the sword upside. Mutige Schotten, brave scots!!!
And in Scotland the men are too embarrassed to dance their own traditional dance? also, the morris comes in many forms, sometimes involving sword fights.
+Breathe-Think-Dream actually, the sword dance. (and most traditional Scottish Dances) We're forbidden for women to do. They were traditionally ways for men to show their strength and stamina before combat. The sword dance, in particular, had a predictive component. If the man could perform it well the night before battle, the army would be successful in combat.
fluffytom82 Actually, they are not ballet shoes or is your eyesight that bad? Majority of dancers do not wear fake kilts. Many men also dance they have a choice to dance or not. It’s not just women.
They are both amazing!
I'm not even Scottish and I want to learn this dance. They move with such grace and elegance amazing!💙
MeganIsAPancake believe me, it’s not as easy as you may think 😂😂

It must take so much skill, precision and practice to do this. What is the history of the dance?
