Can we talk about how insane CaptainZack's run is? Most of his big name victories were off-stream, but he defeated Ally, Nairo, and Salem in order to get a 9th placing in this tournament. Definitely looking like one of the best Daisy/Peach players atm.

I know how everyone shits on Leo's Ike because his combos are simple and Nair is the tool that starts most of them.
Then ignore this is the highest level of smash, these players know what he's going to go for because he doesn't have that many options, when your character is that linear, it's way easier to choke or get camped.
However Leo still finds ways to get into the face of the best players in the world and wreck their shit, fearlessly with a character that has a lackluster recovery, using mainly timing, reading and spacing.
That has to take skill, this is why you don't see that many pros complaining about Ike or Leo (compared to what we saw with smash4 bayo)
Because in pro play the simplest tools can be the most effective. If you have a great player abusing a broken/easy mechanic then you have the recipe for disaster. Look at Bayonetta dominating Smash 4.
@@voorachter2733 if that where the case we would have seen a plethora of Ikes carrying nobodies everywhere (like bayo did), and while there were a few ikes here and there, Leo is always the only Ike to show any good results.
There's a lot more in there than just "simple tools"

This tournament has really surprised me. Zackaray Leo Samsora void and Dabuz i expected in top 8 but Tweek and Nairo getting 9th and 16th is really surprising. Esam Light and Cosmos i did not see making it to top 8 and i did not see Leffen making it as far as he did. Really an interesting tournament
