So cool seeing the sphinx in action
4:37 I noticed how you were careful to avoid having the sphinx get too far into the ogres. Nice use of the horsemen to block the rest of the mournfangs and prevent them from surrounding the sphinx and smashing it to rubble.
Vambraces of the sun provide constant blinded effect, making necrotects really strong right now. Really useful against sky crushers etc
It's an expensive item, I think cost like 200+ but having blind can be really strong. -24 def/attack or something like that

@@ScrumChum I don't think it ever imbued a weakness to flaming attacks. I even checked all the Patch Notes prior to my joining (around the release of the Hunter and the Beast) and none of them mention it being removed. As long as I've known it, it only effected MA, MD, and Accuracy.
Nice to see my favourite skelly bois can still hang with the other factions... even if they're not exactly 'meta', TK are _still_ probably one of the coolest armies in the entire setting. ;-)
Side note - shame Arkhan didn't also bring Doom-&-Darkness... I'd love to have seen the terror bombs on those big blob fights!
Tomb kings are such a cool faction, good to see them getting some love.
As a massive waaagh enjoyer i'd be stoked with a pigtonia or goblin replay if you're up for that.
My absolutely favourite unit, the big Sphinx. I recall your game Turin, when against Vampire Counts the RoR Sphinx got over 6000 value.
I love doing the same but with Lizardmen. I pull out the shredder of Lustria and people are just not ready for it. 500+kills massive terror bombs, while eating enemy anti-large monsters for breakfast.

Can't remember the last time I saw the ROR Necrosphinx, TK replays are always a treat.
Could you try sniktch soon? No better feeling than breaking into the backline and deleting an unaware caster.
We should see the RoR sphinx against chorfs with its fat fire resist.
Most good players can deal with Sniktch pretty easily, especially when they already know he's lurking. Just throw him into garbage infantry pits the whole game. He's nowhere near as reliable as someone like braindead Thrott, or the stupid Chieftan glitch that still exists.

@@rorysheridan441basically in domination you start with a unit of skaven slaves as your lord and a chieftain as a hero, unsummon the 'lord' unit which procs the chieftains Powergrab ability that gives a permanent+8 leadership mapwide.
Its a mechanic that was meant to reduce the leadership tanking when the lord dies but in dom you can use it to just give skaven stupid good stating power for cowardly rats.
So happy to see my TK boys out and doing cool stuff. I was sad when they were so OP they were just boring, cause thematically, they're so cool!
Really nice battle, love how you are trying some different stuff around. To me variety is the key to a healthy game, so seeing someone change things up is great.
I'd love to see a dark elf game, can't even remember the last time someone played them.
Would love to see some Dawi action at some point. With chorfs being so ubiquitous they seem to be left by the wayside.

Arkhan + tombprince, both on foot make for a robust presence to be used either to secure a point or simply as an anvil
What about foot Settra? He has a halberd and can spam incantations of Djaf and Neru.
Spirit leech is better at anti-large than his halberd

I feel like Turin is underselling himself. He always plays against those high level players that we see in Championships of all kinds, and even wins sometimes or at least gives them a good fight.
I would say that I am definitely a top 8 player in the world in dom (Currently ranked 7), but there are a couple of elite folks at the VERY top who are tough to beat consistently due to their strict adherence to the meta/amount of time they can train for sure! Cheers!

I wonder if CA could add damage taken? Along with value of damage etc. Could be a useful tool for more data. Did you know Turin the sphinx, "She can take it!" lol
It's not hard to roughly estimate just looking at the health bar and subtracting its heal. The biggest variable is the army heal passive and it's not exactly huge.
@@nickaretta1329 Good point, I just thought it would be neat some units are kinda just meant to be tanky and to get exactly values would be cool. Resistance would be neat too no idea how you could quantify that. lol
Yeah I get that. I think not accounting for resistances/armor and such is more of an indication of your opponent's failure than that unit's efficacy lol. Even a unit that ties down an enemy forever could be just because the enemy has bad combat stats, not necessarily tanking damage.
And also, the minimum damage any landed attack can do is 1, so even bad answers for the Sphinx add up eventually to the point where you can kind of observe what it's accomplished

Despite all the factions in the game the TK's and their constructs will always be the coolest shit in Warhammer.

See, while I agree that the TK models are old, a lot, like a real lot of them still hold up very well.
I think the only ones I don't like are the basic skelliebois. I have a metal Necrotect and Tomb King with Halberd sitting in my cabinet and I think they'd both stand up to the new Tomb King that was shown

Vambraces of the Sun are shockingly effective against units with high damage but low-ish stats since it imbues permanent Blinded debuff, dropping Ogres to near-Labourer stats.
doesn't Firebelly also have fire resistance? while sphinx of useph also has fire attacks
so, in terms of value, it is bigger for the one with bigger resist, else it's a draw

Doesn't the tomb kings battle mechanic reset after you summon the Ushabti in domination? It does in campaign.

Strange that ogres didn't bring any cool missiles at all - like, just one unit of ogre pistol could potentially prevent sphinx from doing real shit, it's not expensive

There was at least one at 5:41 where you see the golden circle before they come in. At 6:17 you see them in the top left of center

Tomb kings are by far my favorite faction visually. Love the insane sphinx . To bad we rarely see the big TK guys. They're not use ally good. Hierotitan is still crying in a corner somewhere wishing to be useful

as an ogre player myself i personally think this is one of if not the single worst match up for OK but i dont know the stats

You really need to expand your coverage of this game. We need free for all battles, siege battles, land battle, team battles, survival battles. These domination games are trash and the worst the game has to offer. Let’s see some diversity from the channel and not the same thing over and over again. There is so much more this game has to offer.
Love this matchup, though tbh I wouldnt mind a Sphinx buff in the pipeline. Their damage and mass is kinda low for the price point, thought tbh Hierotitans need a buff way more lol.
