The top NFL free agents have found new homes now, and we can already tell which players are going to succeed and which will fail with their new teams.
This year’s free agent class was loaded with pass rushers and Pro Bowl safeties, and they all got paid alright. That said, some of these guys ended up being paid WAY MORE than what we expected, while others players must be scratching their heads after getting low-balled.
Well, it’s time to make our predictions and guess which players will play above their salaries...and which ones will simply be thankful that they got paid more than they’re worth.
Today we present 5 NFL Free agents that got overpaid and 5 that were underpaid.

I disagree. ingram at $5 million per year, is a great signing. Even at No. 2 on the depth chart, $5 million for the productivity he will bring is a great deal
This is true
Fax!!!!
Agree. They are missing the point completely with Ingram. If he consistently hits 1000 yards... Your offense is doing something wrong.
I agree. Can’t see how they can say Ingram was over paid at $5 mil a year for 3 years but Coleman is a bargain at $5 mil a year for 2 years
This dude really said 3yr/15m (5m per yr) is overpaid but Coleman was a bargain at 2yr/10m... also 5m per yr. smh. I dead ass expected Ingram to be in the underpaid category. He’s going to be our starter
Lmaooo “Tyrann Mathieu only got half of what Collins’ got” MAYBE BECAUSE HIS DEAL WAS HALF THE YEARS, BUDDY. And Eric Weddle is 34 and not in his prime at all...
LiteWork _ ikr
you shouldnt pay a 6 year 80 mil contract for a safety where you dont even know if hes gonna stay there
Nae Nae Time ok and
LiteWork _ you a different kind of special lmao. Doesn’t matter how many years the contract is you can still earn the same amount of money guaranteed per year
Nae Nae Time I think about half to 3/4 of it is guaranteed
lmao i died laughing when he said eric weddle is still in his prime
Right? Dude had one of his worst seasons last year. He has slowed down too much to cover the whole field like he used to, which is why he had 0 INTs last year. He is still solid in the run game, but he isn't even a top 10 safety right now imo. Was his contract underpaid? No. It was a fair price for an aging veteran. He will bring great leadership and mentorship for the Ram's future, but he will not be able to fill the shoes he was signed to fill. The Rams lost LeMarcus Joyner, who is just now entering his prime, for an Eric Weddle. Add the fact Aqib Talib is most definitely gone after next season, and they have an aging oline with contracts coming up, the Rams need homeruns in the draft to stay competitive after next year. And tbh, their team is going to be worse next year than it was this year.
How he gets better with age he’s made the last 3 pro bowls while in Baltimore dude is still elite
I think whoever makes these lists has a little bit of Casual fan in his blood !! no defensive player has ever been let go by the Ravens in his prime !! It's been either retire as a Raven or get traded when you drop off !! TPS would probably say Ed Reed left in his prime too !!
Drew Bevan he made pro bowl Bc of his reputation, he’s slowed down and can’t make big plays and is a liability in coverage. I’m glad we cut him. Pro bowls don’t say everything man
Lol i’m a ravens fan but it’s true
am i the only one who disagrees with most of this list
No
No he said Ingram is bad deal 3yr/15 mil and Coleman is 2yr/10 mil is good deal. 5 mil a year for both makes no sense
Nah, they dumb as fuck.🤣
Allen Dims Well Mark Ingram is older but I see your point especially since The 49ers already have Jerick McKinnon and they’re essentially the same player Not to mention they already have Matt Brida
Ravens fan here :
Eric Weddle was done guys and not even worth a million dollars , couldn't tackle / slow/ no interceptions , can't shut the middle down / no catch up speed , no FF or recoveries ....you're crazy for thinking he's worth $10mill , but we u understand you want to preserve your brethren at all cost !
Cozy Cool also a Ravens fan and I do agree with a lot of it. He still has the best Defensive IQ in the league and is a solid. but yeah it was the right call for the ravens to let him go
Another raven fan: how did we overlay ingram
Eric weddle is a cheap option for the rams so he can teach the safety they'll draft this season plus his experience at the position is valuable to a weak need the rams need now since joyner left
A ravens fan also and i agree
Jack Lindberg right? like Ingram isn’t making HUGE money compare to other players and he is very productive
Top 5 teams that should draft a quarterback and 5 teams that can wait for next year
Loyal Philly fan they can
That’s Me Giants need to improve there defense. Hopefully we get 1st pick to be the best QB
@Loyal Philly fan They can hopefully afford to wait a couple years with Flacco, but considering they don't have a backup they'll probably draft one in the 2nd or 3rd round
JSauer21 ya
Chelsea Fan Giants might get Drew lock or Jones
The money flowers got was absurd
Yeah thats the patriots system Belichick puts em together and then they leave and play like shit
Clash Of The Horns hes literally playing in the exact same scheme in Detroit. I’m not even a lions fan but I think he’ll do even better in Detroit
These days If you want a good player in your team you HAVE to overpay otherwise no one would come.
Especially one entering their prime
That makes no sense whatsoever
Sometimes you really gotta question what these athletes love more...
Do they love the game or the money?
That’s why teams like the Patriots rely on developing talent and extending them before their contracts are up. Winners of free agency hardly have success and run into cap problems down the road.
Unless your team is already good and the players are ring chasers
Ingram was worth the three year dear its not all guaranteed and hes always been rotational. Im not a raven fan but i thought he would get 7 mill a year at least
The jets had to overpay for Mosley. He wanted to stay in B more and the jets had to create a gap that Mosley can't pass up.
They also felt spurned by Anthony Barr. I'm sure that went into factoring tge contract
Ya’ll do realise Landin Collins was given $84 MILLION with $44 Million guaranteed
How’s that underpaid?
It said overpaid jack ass
Frosty he is overpaid. What are you even talking about?
@@thegreatone884 it said underpaid in the thumbnail pay attention
Frosty you didn’t actually watch the whole video before commenting did you
Thomas Cusack alright I really don’t care about it but whatever floats your boat bruh
Do teams whose seasons were ruined by a bad coach
Jeff Fisher
This years steelers
Ben Mcadoo with the Giants
BTDgames OMG I’m dying
He dad that already
Mark Ingram contract: $15mill over 3 years = (in theory)$5mill a year
TPS says Overpaid for a RB
Tevin Coleman contract: $10mill over 2 years = $5mill a year
TPS says it’s a bargain for a RB
yeah idk about that one
Ricky Evans fr they’re just looking at the money not the year 3 years 40 sum million is basically the same as 6 years 80 sum million but he thinks that’s doubled
Hmm, Ingram will be 30 years old by the end of the season and has had 1549 touches in his career. Coleman will be 26 years old by the end of the season and has had 620 touches in his career. Are you not familiar with the age-30 cliff that many RBs fall off of? Let's make it even easier. Let's say you need a set of (used) tires. Do you want the tires that have been driven for 80,000 miles or the ones that were driven for 15,000 miles? If the price is the same, most people would consider the 15,000 tires to be a bargain. That's exactly how RBs are judged nowadays. So yes, by that criteria, Coleman is a bargain compared to Ingram.
Remianen that’s not even the same thing lol
5 mil a year overpaid??????????HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
It's funny cause no one should make that kind of money, but you are right. Not bad for NFL
Patriots linemen are only good because of brady`s quick release. It shields them from sack stats.
Paul Bautista I can honestly say this is sorta true 🤷🏽♂️
Paul Bautista except Trent Brown was great pass blocker in SF also. TPS just doesn’t know what they are talking about
and we have the best O line coach
ladawg81 Yes of course the coach is part of that. You can also say that Brady has given them positive stats because he has Elite pocket awareness, movement, and presnap protection call.
The refs dont call holding on them
I am a HUGE Rams fan, but our defense is not lethal, we have holes on the D-line and a massive gap in our line backing core, our corners are problematic sometimes too
And your edge rushers could be greatly improved.
Some Guy Named Steve and one of your corners murdered someone
Lance Mattingly yea it honestly showed during last season and the superbowl
“Overpaid... Mark Ingram”..... ya i’m not watching this video
James Cox Yup lol
Bro I know this comment is going to get some hate but Tyrann Matheiu isn’t even that great.
I 100% agree. Ever since the 2016ish season when he peaked hes been on the decline since
On the Texans Instagram so many people were calling them stupid for letting him walk but he's average at best. No reason to overpay for average play.
He’s just a big name .
His height probably affects him to
I always felt like his play was greatly influenced by playing along side his great buddy Patrick Peterson but now that he's not in AZ, his motivation has dipped a bit
Brown was a bust for 3 years??? Damn this dude didn’t do his homework. 🤦🏻♂️
Umm pretty sure you are the one who didn't do the home work. Brown had one good year that immediately comes to mind. San Francisco questioned his effort, dude couldn't stay in shape.
Tps recommend Top ten NFL players that shocked everyone when they were traded to a different team
Good one
Thank you so much you guys are my favorite you really make my day everyday
You know you just want obj on their
Actually I do not thank you smartass
Ima Browns fan but if anything Ingram is underpaid smh
Ton Games 11 Zadarius Smith should’ve taken Ingram’s spot at overpaid
I disagree with the trey flowers one he did not preform as well as he whould because he was the only good pass rushers on his team and I think that one of the only coaches that can make him preform better his his old defensive coordinator and now he won’t me the only good pass rusher or run stopper because Detroit has a pretty talented defensive line so I think that he will do better now that they don’t just. Focus on him so I think it was one of the smartest moves and I’m excited to watch the lions on defense
10 nfl teams that are getting closer and closer to a superbowl.
Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Bears, Chargers, Jets, Saints, Jaguars, Texans, Ravens
Browns for sure
They got Odell and oliviar Vernon plus Sheldon Richardson
AdventureMarioBros 😂😂😂😂😂
@@slimshadycommentsonvideos2956 the first two is good but Sheldon is gonna bring problems to the locker room
Brown was not a bust with the 49ers 😂🤦🏽♂️
Wendle is good but he’s old, that deal was good, collins is a difference maker and still young, and Ingram is a good rb and 5 million a year is a good deal for the ravens.
2020 Updated list of last years free agency’s
1.) Mark Ingram - Underpaid
2.) Le’Veon Bell - Overpaid
3.) Trey Flowers - Overpaid
4.) Tyrann Mathieu - Underpaid
5.) C.J Mosley - Overpaid
6.) Adam Humphries - Overpaid
7.) Trent Brown - Underpaid
8.) Sheldon Richardson - Overpaid
9.) Landon Collins - Overpaid
Yeah the Steelers offered Bell 70 million but only 10 million was guaranteed
You can’t say someone is overpaid or underpaid if the team they are on were willing to pay that amount of money and the player agreed to the contract
I want to sign nathan Peterman for 4 years.thats pretty much what you are saying. Some players deserve it and others dont deserve but some teams are dumb and overpay player.ex:redskins
Tyrann Mathieu 3 yrs 42 mil
Lando Collins 6 yrs 84 mil. (Twice the length twice the price) so how tf is tyrann underpaid when him and Collins earn the same amount per year? Wtf
When teams like the Redskins and Jets overpay in Madden but they ACTUALLY overpaid IRL
Love this video love free agent videos
I mean a Premiere pass rusher with 2 super bowl rings as an anchor of the defence playing in the exact same system with the same coach at 25 years old is pretty good, especially since he’s only due for 6 million next season
Every team has a QB next season except Miami and Arizona. Rosen is not an NFL QB
And the giants do
Michael Donodeo I don’t think Goff is good I think he got carried the parody in the nfl this season is amazing most divisions have at least 3 competitors. Only the AFC east has a clear winner
And I think lots of QBs play with limited talent. Josh Allen simply looks better than him to me. I just think if Arizona drafted kyler and Miami found anyone. (RG3?) or they could draft Miami needs a QB or trade for rosen
The low tier QBs are like Keenum Manning Dalton Mariota Winston, Darnold, and Lamar Jackson. All those guys have potential to have decent season non of them have no talent (Rosen also and currently maimi as a franchise 😂)
Nanor Tabrizi I just typed what I consider the worst QBs, I put manning there. I’m a redskins fan and I put keenum there 😂 on my list I think Dak and Derek Carr could be argued on it but I left them off 😂
Peyton Manning had historically one of the worst rookie seasons as a qb. I think the colts are happy they stuck with him.
@Michael Donodeo I still think Jared Goff is overrated
Bell tried to play Pittsburgh and got himself played lmao
Saying that the Rams will have no "weaknesses whatsoever on defense" with the acquistion of Weddle is a stretch. Contrary to his pro bowl invite, he is definitely not the Weddle of old.
The Honey Badger is way more versatile and is a huge scheme fit for the Chiefs new defense. Also, the way his contract works, if he sucks or gets injured, we can drop him before his third year for basically no cap hit. Landon Collins was actually overpaid. Redskins are paying 14 million a year for a safety who is basically a LB. His pass coverage skills are atrocious(look at his PFF grades). Giants didnt pay him for a reason.
Mosley isn't underpaid. He got a good contract for how one dimensional he is. He is a pure run stopper(but also a leader). His pass coverage skills are severely lacking tho. He is making more than Kuechly and Bobby Wagner, who are both much more complete players at their positions.
“Rams lethal defense” “weddle in his prime”
Nothing on the 80 million contract the jags gave Nick Foles?
Kahlil oh I have a lot to say about that
It was a fair deal for a qb
Big🍆nick
Nah he went on one magic carpet ride and now everyone thinks he’s Tom Brady lmao , they’ll see quickly that he’s not worth 22 mil a year
I don't have a huge problem with the money given to him, but he should not have gotten more than a one year deal. He hasn't played a full good season yet, so why sign he for so much over such a long period of time.
no one:
Jason biondo: thEY NEED TO GIVE THEIR YOUNG QUARTERBACK WEAPONS To WORK WITH
Tbh I would’ve expected Nick Foles on this list. He was paid a lot, but for seeing him in a back up we form. After Nick Foles became the new starter he hasn’t been the same. So it was a bit risky putting so much money on him.
“There’s no sign of intelligent life anywhere”
There are two things that piss me off in this world my brother and TPS
Most of these guys are getting overpaid because of qbs still being on their rookie contract. I.e. Darnold Jackson Mahommes. That's the beauty of it.
Stop it w Leveon, man....Bell actually won money wise with 36mil guaranteed, as his 70mil contract had only 10mil guaranteed. If anything happened to him last year under that deal he would walk away with 10mil and could have been cut, foregoing the rest of the great 70 mil contract.
This list is better than yesterday’s
Bruh.. What and the fuck are yall talking with Sean Payton?
Deuce McAllister was a beast way before sean Payton was even are coach
Why are they underpaid when they still make millions
Rian Villareal more $ in one week then ill make in my lifetime
Again , they don't know what they talking abt . He said the chiefs secondary cost the a trip to the Superbowl. More like the whole defence but when it came down to it , it was the offsides by Dee Ford that ultimately cost them the win .
Free agency isn’t always about being good, it’s about being FREE. 💰💰💰
Do why the Browns will be a superbowl contenders!
I had to read this 3 times to understand what you said, l think you should edit your comment as. Do, "why the browns will be Superbowl contenders!"
No just no
@@kupprunnethover8365 They could be when Brady retires!
Karri Lotz lol
Because the rest of the NFL dies in a plane crash. Otherwise it'll never happen.
this shows the people who have love for the game and the people who have love for the money
You have to look at the details of the Landon Collins deal, it was brilliant and I don’t know who in the skins organization is capable of putting such a masterpiece of a contract together.
Trent Brown was not a bust in San Francisco, in fact, he was one of the highest rated tackles while he was there (PFF)

76ers.
JaMarcus Russell
4 years and 55 mil for a halfback is not underpaid. That is overpaid
If they're underpaid its because they don't play for money. Its because they have a passion for football
When bitching
“He’s not a vet.”
When praising
“He’s 5 years younger and has less mileage on the body” make up ur mind

The honey badger gets hurt, a lot
Nathan peterman is under paid dude he needs to get paid ASAP He’s the G.O.A.T
Coming back to this video when Bell had 789 yards and Collins barely played
I think lions paid flowers like this because it was either two good guys ( colins, barr) or pay a lot of money for flowers
Top 5 most expected and unexpected NFL free agent signings in the 2019 offseason
All NFL players are grossly overpaid, not just 5. If being paid millions is considered underpaid then I want to be underpaid.
Collins and Mathieu are making the same exact $$$ per year
I don’t understand the Collins overpaid thing realistically the contract is actually 3 years 37 mil because he will more than likely be cut or restructured by his 4th year
I'm a texans fan. There is NO way the honey badger is underpaid. He isn't worth more than 10 mil a year
Tyrann Mathieu was horribly overpaid.
Dante Fowler for the Rams got overpaid for half a season of promise hopefully he plays well to the point we can sign him long term unlike we did joyner and trumaine Johnson
Bell did not lose look at the “FULLY GUARANTEED “ money, Ingram was not over payed. 3yrs 5 mill a year with an offense who were #1 in rushing last year... he is an upgrade for the style of offense. And the contract is basically a 1 year deal next 2 are options.. you need to do more research into these contracts.
Tyrann Mathieu is getting the same average salary as Landon Collins but somehow is underpaid cause it was a 3 year deal great logic lol
Every cent for bell is too much!
James Conner showed that everyone could succeed in Pittsburgh!
Hunphries is way overpaid 36m as a number 2 WR
Hunphries has also 0 1000 yard season
Active nba players who never played in #MarchMadness excluding players drafted from high school
The ravens got rid of weddle because he’s on the slower side. I dislike that we lost him. He was and still is a great player. But he’s rather slow since hitting 30. But I agree. He deserves at least 8-10million a year.
Weddle is my boy! I played ball with him in college. He's a great player, and definitely underpaid. Good stuff @TPS
The Landon sign isn’t bad at all, it’ll depend on how they play him on defense
This wasn't really a free agency, but dee ford signed a 5-year 87 million dollar contract with the niners.
People have not watched the ravens if you think that Eric Weddle is all that. Weddle was maybe the weakest link of the ravens defense last year. He has lost a step physically for sure.
Le'veon bell underpaid, yeah right dude's a total drama king
Figured Coleman would've been more than an honorable mention
Ingram won't be overpaid if he plays at his peak and Bell, Humphries, Weddle, Richardson, and Mathieu got just what they deserved.
Boss Lax316 weddle was pretty overpaid. He was really slow with the ravens and got lost in coverage
@@cjsko I agree now that I looked into it more, but the video was saying he is underpaid which really blows my mind
“Very cheap 4 Year 36 Million Dollar Deal” that’s not very Cheap.
Imagine paying 84 million for a safety that can’t cover😂😂😂
Yes, Trent Brown was overpay, but you have to overpay to compete with other teams. Keep in mind that he's 25 years old, dominated in the playoffs, and his contract is really a 2 year deal that the Raiders can cut in 2021 with no dead cap. Oh yeah, even AFC West player, Von Miller called Trent Brown the best RT in the NFL. www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/Von-Miller-on-49ers-Trent-Brown-He-s-the-11824784.php
It's an upgrade over Penn/Miller. I see Trent and think of Larry Allen.
I like how you guys put "may knee " from Rodgers in all nfl videos
@TPS make a mock draft
CJ Mosley robbing the jets like the raiders robbed the daLLass cowgirLs for their 1st round pick
Best NBA dunkers that have never been to a dunk contest
Bells success and Ingram's success was from past teams. Bell was overpaid and has shown he won't play if he doesn't want to, Bell has more to do with D.Murray traded from the Stars , then a Curtis Dillon!!! Plus he's on the damn jets, so I guess there's that.
The pats went for that much for Adam Humphries but he said no
Mathieu and Collins earn the same amount per year and Collins is younger and better. So how in the hell is Mathieu Underpaid and Collins overpaid
I think Ingram’s deal is fine but personally I would’ve signed a 2 year 10 million with 7 guranteed
TPS Idea! Best Bad Weather Football Games (both NFL and College)!
Lmao, Landon Collins was way overpaid 😂
Fr the giants wanted to pay him 4-5 mil a year and redskins came out with that monsterous contract
My list
OVERPAID
Trey Flowers
Landon Collins
Nick Foles
CJ Mosley
Trent Brown
UNDERPAID
Tyrann Mathieu
Leveon Bell
Haha Clinton-Dix
Eric Weddle
Earl Thomas
Adaon amos underpaid
Ravens got a bargain with Ingram. Especially with how much that offense is going to run the ball.
your videos are great
I don't know why, I thought Ingrim was like 45...I don't think Bell was overpaid, he skipped a year, who knows if he still can play at the same level(just saying it's a possibility) I can already hear the locker room sound bytes of Bell saying he isn't having as productive of a year because of his young inexperienced QB
All the players that sign a contract are overpaid or underpaid. We have to see them in a football field.
