@@wildlyrebellious for me, it's easier to tell him cuz we are not meeting everyday, and I didn't expect anything when I told him my feeling.
I think you need to have a really good relationship with them first, a relationship that you can joke around alot and sometimes go to some deep conversation. It will be easier that way cuz you trust that they will not hurt you (or mean to hurt you).
And if the confession didn't work, at least you can joke around, and said "dont be awkward around me after this." It's not a reset button, but it's actually a step closer to them cuz they know your feeling. Either way, just don't put any hope and say it carefully and confidentially.
I too have some crush before that I know won't work out with me, well I did tell him too, we don't have a really good relationship like this crush, so I too didn't expect anything from him.
