Just stumbled on this video...quick note that might help, those 3 points on the roof of your tent aren't all intended for hanging a light. The central one is but the 2 at the end are there so you can run a line across so you can hang clothing to air/dry overnight. I'd suggest a length of Dyneema cord (same as used for guy-outs) as won't absorb water from the clothing, leaving it damp.

Sigh. I was so disappointed. It was user-error but a single wall tent has disadvantages for sure.
