BNSF Locomotives On A Run Through Train In Sharonville, Ohio. Cool Railroad Crossing New Angle With A Morning Train. Includes a night time grain train. This is a must stay at motel for railfans!
We got a room at the Quality Inn on the 3rd floor to watch trains. We spent two nights in the motel and we had soccer games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the girls.
Shortly after we got in the room a train came. It seemed like it was going to be busy but during the night hours the line really slows down. This is directional running. The trains are predominantly southbound ( railroad eastbound on the New Castle Sub ). There is a CSX line about a mile plus to the northwest that runs predominantly northbound trains. Both railroads share each others tracks for efficiency although the directional running does have exceptions, especially on the CSX line.
The girls had a total of 7 games over the three day weekend. They won 2, lost 4 and had to forfeit one due to not having enough girls to play. Aubreys team only had 8 players for Sunday due to several not wanting to miss church and one girl had a birthday and did not want to play on her birthday.
My favorite train was the train with the BNSF leading locomotive and BNSF DPU locomotive in the middle. My second favorite train was the last one that I filmed while standing near the railroad crossing. That one had a DPU on a mixed freight. Which train was your favourite and what did you think of the view? The suite we stayed in cost about 200 bucks a night but it is worth it. We stayed in it the first night and stayed in a cheaper room on the first floor the second night.

I would HATE to stay at a hotel with NOISY RR TRACKS! Because you ain't going to get a good night's sleep! Between the traffic & train horns... Forget it!!!! This hotel would DRIVE ME NUTS! Its NOT for the FAME OF HEART! I call this AWEFUL CONDITIONS! No way Hosea! Not on my life!!!! MR. Jaw Tooth, I don't know how you stayed at this hotel. And got a good night's sleep? But I hope you & your family got some rest at least😊❤

Nice. Looks perfect for a trainspotter. In Corrour, Scotland, at the railway station, you can book a stay in the signal box and watch the trains. They're not nearly as many, nor nearly as long as American trains, but it's still nice because you're right there on the tracks.. It's in the middle of nowhere, but a beautiful nowhere, if you know what I mean...

Hopefully no more buildings are added by the tracks as it was a little broken but the third floor did afford a respectable View. My fondest memory of a motel that was close to Trackside was for several years when my dad sales territory went to Galesburg IL and twice a year I could accompany him. It was a Travelodge west of downtown on the Main Street and he would Reserve a room on the second floor east side. A nice unobstructed view of the Santa Fe Main Line and you can watch the passenger trains take off WB with the freights gliding through. With the horn action and the excitement of a railroad you didn't normally see sleep was a bit thin. It also featured a swimming pool in the front where you could keep tabs on the trains as well as the Toddle House Coffer Shop for a good breakfast. Thanks Dad for being nice enough to accommodate a youngsters railroad interests

For me, that view from your Sharonville motel was not only interesting, but a heartbreaker...for years, I lived in a 5th-floor apartment with an unobstructed view above Long Island Rail Road's Nassau Interlocking, only to exchange it -- regrettably -- for a view of a shopping mall at the junction of U.S. 27 and I-4 in Central Florida...all to "save" a few lousy dollars 😔. Thankfully, I have "hundreds" of hours of video, and "thousands" of still photographs to preserve the memory. Love your Ohio travels...👌👍

I couldn't ID the locomotives and had great difficulties seeing the cars but I believe there were 88 of them. Again it was a good train JT! The city looks awesome at night. Great catch, my friend! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

We had a short mixed freight with NS power that could use a new horn. Only 55 cars, but every train is a good train! I liked it. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
A fairly long BNSF powered mixed freight with a DPU at around the half way point. Another good train! You have a pretty good view from your room. It would be better without the service station sign, but you can't help that. 😊😊😊❤❤❤

I stayed at a motel in Mitchell, SD, and there was a side track just below my second floor window about a hundred feet away. A delivery was made while I was there.
Like a lot of politically conservative Christians, I have been banned from social media. The controllers do not want us communicating. However, if you ever vacation to Mitchell, SD, stay in the Hampton Inn, south wing on the back side. If you google earth Hampton Inn South Dakota, the motel is on a hill above the tracks.

Nice video.I stayed there one night a few years ago.There was a winter storm on the way and instead of fighting the snow on the drive to work from home the next morning I stayed there and had a top floor room overlooking the rail line.

There's a town north of Camden oh called Eaton Norfolk southern run on up through there has a restraunt along the track called the red mule u can set at the bar when the train comes through the hole thing shakes it a great experience and they have great food it's a win win u can look them up on maps they post some great pictures

We stayed at a motel in Pierre, South Dakota where the train tracks were less than 100 feet away. In the middle of the night I was woke up by the train whistle. It sounded like it was in the room! I remember there being at least 3 trains go by in the night and they blew their whistle.
