theres a screw at bottom of oil tube that lets oil out and drops out through the hole on the deck. just put a container under mower and it collects the oil. your done.
I think the shown Oil level check ist incorrect: The dipstick must not screwed in. The correct procedure is to screw dipstick out, clean it, then just dip in (without srewing in!) and check the fluid level. I made the same mistake for more than 20 Years, until one Honda (Bike) Guy told me how to check oil level the correct way on older Honda engines. Look at Your owner´s manual, because I´m not sure if there is any difference between France or Japan made GXV engines (all Honda Mowers sold in Europe are made in France, older ones Made in Japan) and U.S. made ones. I never seen before Dipsticks made from metal, european Honda GXV´s came with dipsticks made of grey plastic. Look also into Your owner´s manual to check the correct amount of engine oil: 0,6 l./0,16 gal. for GXV140 engines and 0,65 l./0,17 U.S. gal. for GXV 160 engines.
The new battery powered mowers will never last like a good ol honda will last. If taken care of a honda mower will last a man a lifetime.
Thanks! I learned how to change the oil and how to cut off the gas line to keep my carb cleaner.
Great job keep up the good work
Thanks for your of Confidence.

What’s the difference between the HR214 and HR215?
According to Google the HR 214 were produced between 1983-1989
The replacement model HR 215 were produced between 1989-1994
@@itcanbedone4721 Good to know. Thanks! 👍

I did State and show in the Video to check the oil By NOT SCREWING it in to check the oil Level. You can see it at 6:14 .
You should not screw in to check on a honda engine
fyi, @ 2:57 he specifically says "Do Not Screw It IN" Don't be so critical, Watch and pay attention.
