#Metallica - Hudba
I waited 12 YEARS to see metallica near me, and saw them for the 1st time in Porto Alegre exactly 1 week ago.
Seeing James starting Master of P. just a few meters from me is unbeatable. No concert will ever come close to this, they played No Remorse and Blackened too. What a day.
Hell yeah, Blackened is the end
Awesome! I saw Metallica from the front row in 2009 in London, it’s a show that I’ll never forget.🤘Thanks for watching! :)
Assisti em curitiba logo depois, só de pensar no show fico arrepiado até hoje
James visibly choking up when Elton said that is number 7. 🤙🏻
Pretty big compliment coming from the absolute master of tragic songs Elton fucking John. He said Matters is one of the greatest songs ever written.
I believe James’ career came full circle in that moment
Oh yeah baby
He's one of the best lyricists of all time, regardless of genre. A true, genuine, honest and powerful poet.
I am the table!
@@yoitsmegabe do you have the keys on you?
"Fran-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tock!"
Lol, love Metallica regardless!
Agree, man. I would also add his vocals to that list - specifically the super raspy 80s/early 90s "yelling near key" as he described it, haha. He absolutely perfected that style of singing, bridging the aggression the hardcore metal fans loved with the melodic accessibility that also made them so appealing to the mainstream listener.
I can play and sing like hetfield which is nice :) He's fucking god like
James, to me, is hands down the best rhythm guitarist ever.
Try to check new bands, dude...
@@RMSHNmusic Try not to be a pretentious douche bag, dude....
@@RMSHNmusic Elitist alert!!! 🚨
@@RMSHNmusiche is the best tho
And yet his search for how it feels to be alive continues
Happy I discovered you channel Pete! Great video!
Metallica's album with the San Francisco Symphony (S&M Album) is still and will always be one of the best metal albums ever created. Prove me wrong.
Absolutely love his vocals on Black Album. Especialy in Sad But True. And that riff...Heavy af
I really want a new Metallica album. Loved the last 2 and I also think they are the best. Yeah for real.
Hetfield is my spirit animal.
While I agreed about nothing else matter .. honestly fade to black was their first touch of a ballad type song .. yes it git heavy but still clean gold for the first half
James and Kirk (obviously predominantly James) basically taught me, though inadvertently, to play guitar. He is also, like you, one of my favorite guitarists to this day. Sure, I also love Satriani, Vai, Petrucci, Gilbert, and the might Jeff Loomis (including Dimebag and many others), but James, and Metallica as a whole, will always hold a cherished place in my heart!
Kirk is an amazing player for sure. His solos are technically brilliant and nobody can deny that. But when James plays a solo, it comes straight from his soul and that makes a huge difference.
James is, by far, my favourite musician of all time. That man oozes absolute class and stage presence.
Load and ReLoad never get any love, but those were the first albums I bought from Metallica, followed shortly by the black album.
The House that Jack Built is still one of my fave songs of theirs.
James is the best rhythm guitarist of all time in my opinion. He has a bionic wrist! And he's a great lyricist, too! 🤘🏼
He is, after all, Papa Het.
as a Metallica fan and a fan of you as well, this made me smile, I always look forward to new videos you make. thank you for being awesome.
James Hetfield and Cliff Burton are both the reason that made me want to learn rythm guitar and bass
I completely agree! James is a beast. There is also a video of James at Guitar Center, talking about his guitars and jamming out some. It's incredible. I also swear, I'm the US version of you. Lol keep 'em coming
Nice video Pete, especially for those that noted Jame's recent emotional struggles, it's good to reflect on his skill and achievements.
Thanks for watching! :)
I always wanted to be like James. Iconic
My favourite solos by Hetfield is in the Outlaw Torn and S-word and Redemption, and out of all guitars that James has, my favourite is the Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop 1957 Iron Cross, that guitar looks like an absolute beast
very cool video, james rocks
I was the same way with the silhouette when I was a kid!!
While people screamed, I almost froze when I saw him playing in my country Indonesia in 1993, I pinched my hand a few times: "am i dreaming?", he was very charismatic and inspiring guitar player.
For voc and rhythm player my #1 is James, #2 is Max Cavalera from Sepultura, they played in indonesia a year before Metallica, man they were like "cancer" to me 🤘😄🤘
If I ever played guitar, James would be my primary influence by far. Love the heavy and groovy riffs that man has written and released for the world to hear. Happy to see him healthy and sounding amazing on their current South American tour 🤘🏻
The notes in between agree with your message.
Master of lyrics and killer riffs!..
Can't friggin argue with any of this!
Couldn't agree more! James is the one and only! And the fact that he is still kickin a bloody ton of A£$ to this day is absolutely mindboggling! 🙌🏼😲🤘🏼⚡ Also I have no idea how I wasn't subscribed till now! Always thought I was! 🙈😅🙈
The white snakebite is also a really cool James Guitar!
I totally agree.
Just yesterday I watched Some Kind of Monster followed by like 50 of Metallica's live videos, and now suddenly you upload this...
Yeah, I thing we all wanted to be James, right?...YEAH!
I agree!!!
The king of rhythm guitar
Aaaah remember the day when LP ... And justice for all... Was released...
For me in my teens in the late 80ies his society critical, anti-war, anti-stablishment, anti-government and very open and vulnerable lyrics would be on place 3 to 5 on this list. I owe the man a LOT in articulating my feelings back then in lyrics and sound. Absolutely awesomely done, Pete!
James is the guy for sure!
James is THE BEST!!!! YES!
Totalmente de acuerdo Fepo, un abrazo maestro!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
James is one the best riff writer of all time 🎸🎸🎸
OOH

1) Yeah
2) Yeah
3) Yeah
4) Yeah
5) Yeah
6) Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh, yeah!!!
My son’s name is James. I occasionally joke with my wife and say that he’s named after James Hetfield, which usually gets me an eyeroll.
Whisper voice: little does she know, I’m not joking… 😎
I absolutely agree. I watched the VH1 documentary on Metallica and his interview where he talked about just picking while in a conversation on the phone and he instantly knew what he accidently stumbled across. So much so he told his caller he had to go, and then right away began producing what is now know as one of the arguably best songs in pre-2000s rock history. I started playing because of Hetfield and my first guitar was the Epiphone Explorer. Worst guitar ever to play seated but best silhouette ever and it made you look cool, because Hetfield was cool.
It’s safe to say he’s THE best riff and lyrics machine ever.
Metallica will always be one of my favourite bands as they had so much influence on me becoming a bass player. So of course I love James!
Saying that Load, RE load and St. Anger were bad is probably the most foolish shit you’ll ever hear people say about Metallica.
I'll give you one. Yeahhh!
🤘🎸🤘
alli can say is : Yeah !!
I want james to see this.
As a bassist I look up to Cliff Burton my Ride The Lightning cassette is getting worn because I keep playing it over and over because I want to be just like Cliff Burton.
YEAHAH
EWWW YEAH!
7. HE IS THE TABLE
0:20 Who haven't dreamt about being in Metallica, or just be on stage playing with them :)
"Do you agree?"
"Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Next :
Why Archspire so awesome 🔥
Have you watch james confession on the last show in brazil?
Papa Het is amazing 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
Look up a band called Acid King. Please do a stoner doom riffs video 🙏🏿🎸
my favorite james solo is suicide and redemption
Most of his playing is down picking, not all of it. When he does gallops for songs such as battery, he does the normal galloping pattern down up down.
you cant gallop battery if you cant down pick. Its the same concept, and nearly the same motion as well.
@@cursetheserpent I agree, am just saying, objectively, that he does sometimes upstroke
@@iamdecentatguitar1091 I hear you man. He is the DP machine no doubt but there are people out there who actually think he ONLY downpicks even battery, dYers eve, the machine gun part in one and disposable heroes and fight fire with fire and other fast songs like that. It's impossible to downpick those at album speed let alone their live speed ecsp from the 80s. I find that quite silly the number of people who seem to actually think that lol. He's got such a rep for down picking that people actually think that he ONLY downpicks which just goes to show what a badass he is lol
@@midnight347 riiiiight!!!🎸🔥🎸🔥
I could give you 600 reasons but hey I respect your list. James Hetfield is the fucking man!
He has a TIE Fighter.
Your reasons are as solid as James' riffs
in the 90s what phone was probably used to record his ideas for Nothing Else Matters?
Load and ReLoad are good.
I agree :)
Cause of Hetfield, I didn't know down picking was a hard thing to do. I spent about 10 years thinking down picking was the normal way to pick only to find out I was wrong and have a picking ability people say is hard to do.
Kirk is why I wanted to play and James is why I still play.
James is an incredible musical talent. Like a Freddie Mercury or Paul mccartney James Hetfield just got it, unlike some other member of Metallica...
Kirk is why i got into playing metal, But James is badass as well.
Papa Het!!
What does matter else?
In terms of songwriting, musicianship, and stage presence/performance - Hetfield is right up there with Freddie Mercury
i'll be honest...i've clicked like before i've even seen the video just because of the title
I like to think of the 1st five Sabbath albums and the 1st five Metallica albums as the Old and New Testaments of the Church of Riff.
Both sets of albums are linked by the not-entirely-human nature of their guitarists' right-hands - Hetfield, because he's clearly part robot, and Iommi whose fingers are part fairy-up liquid bottle.
James Hetfield is my god
Same
Only 6 ?! the list can go to like 50 easy :P
well i aggree on most of the stuff but now; personal opinion:
the best albums are ajfo, master, parts of ride the lightning, parts of load/reload, parts of black, hardwired in this order.
ik i just made a lot of ppl angry, but these are the albums with the most creative riffs that are still underrated and a banger. Nothing else matters doesnt feel like a metallica song really. Aaaand its not creative and boring tbh. Dont get me wrong but the solo isnt great either. James plays a very cool solo in Orion for example, idk if he wrote it tho. but the master of puppets solo (first one) is the same thing like nothing else matters, its just not that creative. Orion and damage are underrated, change my mind.
You broke your glasses.
Any metalhead, once in a lifetime has wanted to be a member of Metallica!
I've probably bought over 25 master of puppets copies through my life. Maybe more. Lol
Like many Hetfield is the reason i picked up a guitar
the downpicking makes a percussive sound and if you are a rhythm guitar player, yes is affective... A LOT.
6 Reasons Why James Hetfield Is So Awesome!
Reason 1: He's James Hetfield.
End of reasons.
STANGER2015 metallica cover will tell you that St. Anger was potentially a listenable album.
James Hetfield, Papa Het
The Down picking Demon
just 6? ")
Gibson: "Hey guys, let's sue esp who makes exceptional guitars so we can continue to make the same guitar they did but more expensive, 'authentic', and shittier..." lmfao
Number 7... Did you know that James once lifted an upside down school bus full of children off of a burning orphanage of blind and deaf albinos? FACTS!!!
Is N E M really just 3 notes?
E G and B (and a high E too). Thanks for watching! :)
@@peteplaysmusic Ok thanks. And for the great vids.
you scratched your CD??? dude obviously dont take care of your treasures, James said Nothing else matters was NOT meant for Metallica but just for himself, BUT hell yeah James Hetfield is AWESOME
Some of the old CD players would scratch a disk from time to time. Not sure if it was the clamp that held it in place, bad balance or part of the breaking system, but it happened. My first copy of the Black Album was killed by my boom box after listening to it on a loop for what seemed like a year.
Only 6?😂
Just 6?🤣
yeah james is cool and all but sorry I'm a dave mustaine guy
James Hetfield can downpick Bleed
