"How is it that the Jesus movement has transformed into the sex police?" At the United Methodist Church's global convention in Tampa, Florida, delegates from around the world gather for a heated and emotional debate on the future of their church and its official policy towards homosexuality. "I think we will hear a resounding shoutback saying we can't do that," says Amory Peck, who is just one of more than 1500 United Methodist pastors who have pledged to perform same-sex weddings. Conservative Methodists remain vehemently opposed, fearing that such changes fundamentally undermine the Christian doctrine. "If the church encourages this, it would be the death of the church itself", says Marie-Louise Kpokpo, a conservative delegate from the Ivory Coast.

I'm not Christian but that woman literally said "a church with people of different faith backgrounds". It's a church, that's a place for Christians. If you want to meet with other religions, great but that's not a church. That's a social club.
The church isn't about policy! It's about what the Bible SAYS!!!

A church without a doctrine that follows scripture is not a church. At best, it's a social club.
When Men can vote on doctrine, you know it is a man made church. You can’t vote doctrine. The Lord directs his church. Pray to find it. A true seeker will find.
The Holy Spirit will not be in any Church that rejects Gods biblical principles.
I'm a gay Christian. I'm still attracted to men but attraction alone is not sin. This is called temptation, acting on it either in my mind (as a fantasy) or physically is a sin. Christ forgave our sins and died to save us from their effects. I don't think ignoring that and continuing my lifestyle would honor Christ's death. I don't like to bash atheists because all atheists are different from one another. I was once one. I thought if God was real then he hated me for making me gay and having his servants constantly disparage me. The truth is in Corinthians, Paul says that it's a very good thing to marry but an even better one to dedicate your life to serving Christ, not a spouse. So I chose Christ, he has become more of a desire in my heart than easy sex or a 60 year marriage.

This isn't a church. It's a political party.

This is condemABLE action , all church's should be ashamed of themselves for doing this, disobeying, blasphemous, immoral, teaching lies, breaking law. There will be Death.
As a Christian I think this is great!
Praise God for the African congregations. Once people no longer are told they must repent, you've lost the gospel.
" I do not want to get married like in a courtroom..I want to be married in church..I want God's blessings"..Man, read your Bible..Repent and be transformed..You cannot be made new if you do not repent..Also a church is not a building. It is a group of people who believe in Christ.They abide with Him & His Words.. If you believe in Him, you will not continue with homosexuality for The Bible is clear "..no homosexuals will inherit the Kingdom of God.." Praying for you and partner.
There's a difference between a religious club and a church, the church only observes the law of God, a religious club does whatever is right in its own eyes. For this reason I left the previous 'church' and I deeply regret ever getting involved with it
