Wasnt Catherine Avery the one who paid these women off? And the consultant was trying to place a manageable amount of blame on Catherine so the victims feel validated? This loving act by her son would likely spark outrage. Not fix the issue. (The rehiring of the victims and listening to their voices is great, but they have to see the woman who paid them off's name every-time they see the foundation)
She helped them come up with a contract that might help them move on from Harper Avery. He was a pervert and his other lawyers would have ruined those women's reputation so bad that their courier would have finished. So she came up with best possible solution
Harper is actually the ladd award winner for there work in research

I have no problem with what Jackson did or said to that woman, who had no interest in doing what was right...just what would save them in money. She was there to do a job and since he is the Avery foundation representative, he was very much in his rights to tell her to kick rocks.
crazy cat lady I don’t think it was manplaining as that’s his mother’s. Also, he was partnered with Meredith, who he gave credit to regarding the name. It is very sensitive subject and I’m not even a fan of Jackson.

I just want to know how is changing the foundation from Harper Avery to Catherine Fox any better? HA may have harrassed these women but Catherine is no "victim". She literally helped sweep it under the rug and continued to ride the Avery name and the success that came with it while one of the doctors left the field to become a waitress. She only cared about herself when Jackson undid the contracts. Idk, I find it to be a bit crazy to think changing it to Catherine's name would fix anything.
It probably won't but, changing the culture will, and that starts up top.

Changing foundation name does not change the past. Catherine did nothing to help these woman and everything to help Harper. If it had been one case maybe one could have justified her behaviour but it waa 13 (or maybe more) cases. She divorced Robert but she did not change her name because this gave her what she wanted the most: power, she is obsessed with controlling everything ans everyone.
Jag Jag She got the women some money, instead of letting her father-in-law just fire and discredit them, which is the best she could do back then as a woman of color. Harper would have done what he did with or without her, but as an Avery she was able to build the foundation into something great. Also, even now to save her skin, she refused to attack those women.
The women excepted monies for their cooperation. The woman who was a waitress, that was her choice, or she could have stepped up, on her behalf and the other women. I was a raped, not just touchef or fondled. This movement is great for now not yesterday, because if not what about slavery. Can we go back that far, metoo and my ancestry. This was a great story.

Maryam Layne The Catherine character is correct on how things were back then as to now. What feels the same is that victims are still left to figure it out in the end. What do you say to yourself when you accept the money, but the pain is still there?

yes..they were shut up by giving money by a woman itself who was supposed to help them...but patriarchy is a bitch...and remember durimg ellis' time she was called a nurse despite being a doctor or they were really frustrated when she won the harper avery and put down the proposal as Grey's Method?...people are imperfect.. people make wrong decisions..even we do too many times...it is the gut to correct it..to accept that it was a bad decision and u cannot undo all the damage but u can help.. that's what meredith helped Jackson do and jackson was understandable about ot
sexual assault is a serious issue ...this shows how serious it can be.. especially when the wrongdoer is a person of high fame...they did mention that one of the survivor lost a sexual assault case against HA ..the dr who conversed with amelia abt ultrasound cancer treatment...so how can u say that they didn't?

It was that or they leave with nothing because during those times, those were likely the only options. It’s nice to see that they progressed a lot since then but you can’t discount how things were wildly different in the past.
If the women spoke out they would’ve been fired and then their reputation would’ve been ruined and they could have been shut out of their career fields. Catherine gave them money but it also helped them move on and advance without working in a Harper Avery hospital.
This show needs to end. Meredith is the only character Shonda and writers seem to care about. Every other one is going down the drain as is the storylines

As with many long running shows they have jumped the shark, and you get the feeling that the present writing team has not watched the show, they are making an old dead man bad to stay topical
Caro Mora almost everyone is unlikeable now( what they’ve done to Meredith is just sad), there is no more character development, the love arcs are all over the place (Maggie and Jackson c’mon) The characters in this show have no direction or storylines to follow anymore you can literally jump into the season and not miss a beat because it’s something new every episode.
Jailyn, Jayz said it the best you want the old me listen to my old albums. This show is about progression make changes and pushing the envelope. Plus making it relate-able to others, that the reason me, probably you, and everyone on this page loves this show. Because we all fely like we had a friend or a family memeber that reminded us of one of the peps in the show from, Meriderh, Christina, Alex, Mcdreamy, Mcsteamy, 007, bailey, to Izzie and all the patients, plus interns on the show. If the show stays the same it gets old and loses it's juice. We watch this drama filled show to see whats going to next, not reflect or do what happen in past episodes.
jarvis thomas the show has lost its juice the writers aren’t following through with character plots that could add drama or further develop a character. They’re half assing it and just throwing around random problems like the lawsuit that’s coming up,there’s really no excitement because you pretty much know it’s going to get resolved there’s no cliff hanger no angst the show is just there and it’s predictable.

Paola. I did stop watching it on Thursday night. It just doesn't do it for me anymore. I wait for it to be on Hulu!. Its not Grey's Anatomy anymore. Now it's like Grey's Days of Our Lives Anatomy! No great surgeries anymore. Too many characters worried about who/what/when/where they're gonna bone next! This season is all over the damn place. I'm just waiting for Bokhee to get injured or get sick and be the patient. Then maybe i'l watch again on Thursday's. Hopefully the 15th season will be alot better!
It is crappy show now .. That is why it lost another half if milion viewers... And in my opion it is too late to change it- there is too much mess there, we know that two amazing actresses are to go, probaly another people will be fired next seson (sorry, but with such small audience it will be difficult to earn 20 milions for Ellen and keep rest of the cast).. So 3 more episodes and good bye..
