Hi, I have been having the exact same issues, including draining of the battery overnight! I Radio would turn on and off randomly, clock would disappear and would be left with just lines instead of digits and numbers. Volume would increase without touching any buttons and radio would remain on after switching off the ignition..!! Have just replaced the radio like for like and still have the exact same problem, with identical issues..!! After doing some research it appears the issue is possibly the can-bus system so will carry on with further research.......!! Can I ask if replacing your radio resolved your issues?
Hi sounds like you’ve got more issues than this car did but you’re right about no change with stereo replacement and have to agree about the problem elsewhere but car is gone now so I never got round to finding out what the problem was.
High mate does the old radio drain your battery? I have a problem at the moment where my battery is dead after leaving the car idol for a day or two.ive tried pulling the fuse out to kill my stereo but it sounds like my cd changer is active when the cars ignition is off

Hi no it didn’t drain the battery but you could hear the changer active when it was off just like yours by the sound of it
