  • Here is a quick video showing you how to remove your C7's Headlights. This should be nearly the exact same process between A6 & A7 cars, even for the facelift models. You do have to remove your bumper in order to remove your headlights. If you need help learning how to do that, check out our bumper removal DIY video linked below.

Is it possible to get at the lower screws without fully removing the bumper? I only need to do one side and tempted to try to pull off the bumper only on that side to access the screws. Bad idea?

The condensation isn't coming from a permaseal failure. I promise lol. Gotta be somewhere else

Hey! Have you tried replacing the glass on these headlights? I have the same myself, been having moisture issues for a year now. After a lot of work on this, we found that using superglue and activator, with black tape and then clear tape over cracking spots might do the trick. Cracks have appeared on the plastic cover above the headlight and hopefully after this no more moisture/water gets back in there. If this doesn't fix it, and it keeps getting worse, I might try to change the lens, how difficult is this job? From my understanding it doesn't look as complex as changing the glass only, if that was the case, because on this headlight the glass sits inside a plastic cover, so it must be a lot easier to put in place then other headlights that requires you do replace the glass only? Thanks in advance and hope you have any sort of experience with this!

We have removed and replaced the lense. It is not for the faint of heart. I'll have a video detailing everything about that process in the near future.

Watch our video on the common coolant failures/leaks in the 3.0t.
I suspect you have a cracked PCV. Check your oil for signs of coolant mixing with your oil. Get this figured out before you drive again.
