Girls & I vacationed in Newport while husband did reserve training several times. They liked taking picnic to Green animals and frolicking among the topiaries.

Thanks for the reminder about the bird tour! I'm doing a Holland America New England/Canada cruise in July and I'm so excited to see Puffins (my 5 year old niece is an animal lover!) I had forgotten to bookmark that tour!

No lobster in Halifax Nova Scotia? They used to have a lobster shack all you could eat there and a cheers style bar! Wish there was an excursion for for that alone! You can keep the Titanic!

I just rewatched this again because we are FINALLY going on a Canada/New England cruise in September. The watching the Titanic on a cruise story made me think of our first cruise where the piano player played “The Curse of the Edmond Fitzgerald “ which is a song by Gordon Lightfoot that is about a ship that sunk in one of the Great Lakes.
LOL..... Know the song well - We live on Lake Ontario, one of the great lakes. If Im not mistaken the Edmond Fitzgerald went down in Lake Superior and none of the 29 crew were ever found !!

Topiary bushes! I would love to see it. The trees & bushes here have leaves that only turn brown and fall off when new ones come out.

You should try Montreal for your next New England cruise. However the Jacques-Cartier Bridge is not tall enough for the NCL jewel-class ships.
What ship do u suggest
A group of us are going for a New England/Canada Cruise this coming September 28 thru October 6. The excursions mentioned here are not available in NCL cruise shore excursions.
The excursions we talked about were not specific to a cruise line....or part of any excursion list. They were from many different cruises, from different people. As well as, excursions are different from sailing to sailing.....even within the same cruise line. This video was done 2 years ago. What is available to you from NCL..is for YOUR Sept. 28th sailing. Or cruisers can seek out independent, non-cruise line excursions.

We live a little over an hours drive from Canada!!!
What to wear to this cruise? I’m going in October.
Go online and research what the average temperatures are for each port. Hard to tell sometimes, as the weather patterns have changed. Usually, October....more pants..less shorts. A few sweaters...long sleeve shirts....windbreaker....umbrella.
