  • Ahh, remember the good old days, when short people were always portrayed as villans.
And I have to disagree with Mr Bear, she didn't look ugly at all, In fact, the kinder she becomes, the more ugly she becomes, until by the tales end, she is indeed once more a full on plastic princess. It's shocking !
Fun, enthralling tv fantasy from days gone by. In the way that only Eastern Europeans seemed to manage it.

This truly scared the crap out of me. There was not really a childrens TV back then. You would get something like this Herges adventures of Tintin followed by the Flashing Blade, then hours of cricket. But also, there was this scare trip. I had some beer last night and for some reason found this, i thought it was all a dream then realised it actually happened. Bizarre too that the girl is narrated by a bloke!!! Conspiracy theory too, that as it was East German it was designed by the KGB in Russia (Soviet Union) to freak us all out, its sure did!!!! Thank god for Scooby Doo or the Hairbear Bunch at 5.15pm , that was it, maybe an hour and a half of kids telly a day.
