sweeet
Indeed . Any he always say "We did it" which for me shows a humble person
The confidence of a radiomechanic and the joy and the excitement of the beep of accepted usb drive.
im your average IT repair dude and absolutely love watching these videos. ive actually already ordered a BIOS flashing device because you made me confident enough that i could use it from your other videos....Thanks Alex!
It’s always such a pleasure to watch you work Alex! It’s just awesome to see that even after countless devices fixed you still get excited and show so much joy when you succeed. Thankyou for all you do!
This kind of flash drive are now disappearing. The new ones now have all the components on one ic which makes it extremely hard to repair. Looking forward for the video which involves this new drive.
They gotta just complicate everything dont they
@@blackace69They make more money that way - the idea is to make repair as tough as possible and as a result they sell more, and it's all down to greed. Just look at the antics of Apple and John Deere as just two examples of making unofficial repairs almost impossible for certain components.
@@blackace69of course. If they don't then people won't spend even more money that they think we somehow have with the current economy .
This kind of usb flash drive cost more . Thats why china is using cheap memory cards inside usb body case. Looks usb flash drive but instead inside its memory card. 😂
Smaller/simpler with single IC = Cheaper and less ewaste
Hi, I'm Italian, I've seen a lot of videos of your repairs that normally no shopkeeper does, if there were still so many like you in italy especially pc hardware repairers, the general repairers of electronic products are disappearing, because people are conditioned by use and throwaway.
Alex is the saviour of all repairs, if another repairman f**k's up, Alex steps in to show how it is done.
Great video, hope you and your family are doing well
Another happy customer! Great job again, Alex. Now start teaching your son your skills and he will be a genius.
I've been subscribed now for over a year and honestly, I am a developer so I don't know anything about components or repairs but just from watching your videos I learned so much about different components and what they do, keep up the good work (:
The only thing I would have done differently, is strain-relieved the wires on the board with Kapton tape. I'm a retired Tech, who was a Lab Admin for the team that gave you WiFi on your cell phones for the first time. I admire your approach...visual inspection first, power supply checks second. In general, the third thing I used to look for was clock, or something stuck in reset. Usually, as you know, the power supply tells the tale. Best wishes. --bd
Alex ..you make that look so easy ..it would take my all day and still not fix it ! Thank you for the education !
I'm not any professional mechanic or engineer, but I simply watch your video as I think you are the Silvestre Stallone (RAMBO) of fixing electronics. 😂
Love your work although I'm nothing. Thanks.
Love that smile when you fix something. That's pride! You can't teach pride in your work. Great job Alex!
Alex that was an awesome repair, you went through it so methodically and now customer gonna be happy!
Your confidence does wonders to a painstaking job as this. Thanks for your inspiration.
Gotta love that satisfied smile on your face after every successful repair 🙂
your skill and knowledge never ceases to amaze me.
I can hear the first resistors scream "NOT ME!! PLEASE NOT ME!!!" 😁
A job well done as always... Love from Pakistan
Great detective work Alex. Thanks for the video.
Amazing work as always, well done
A bad capacitor strikes again. Amazing diagnostics skills. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.
Awesome data recovery Alex!
I wanna get into micro-soldering one day, it seems enjoyable
even as professional as you , I'm sure it feels like happy magic when fixed part works.
Thanks Alex for your amazing videos. I actually managed to solder Lenovo IT8586E EC chip successfully . imagine it's my first time and I nailed it. Had experience in soldering but not that 0.5mm pitch. May God bless you
I'm so glad you were able to fix this
You’re a great dad
👍❤️🇮🇪👍❤️🇮🇪👍❤️🇮🇪👍❤️🇮🇪👍
Amazing troubleshooting skills!
Awesome recovery! It's wrong, but I was waiting to see the shorted cap put on top of the burned resistors and get some work out of the bad guy😂

Nice!
excellent THX for video! :-) U R The best
YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I bought some USB plugs that have screw terminals for stuff like this, they work pretty good but of course not for enameled wire like this.
Very interesting to see if the Magic Smoke is let out it's not necessarily dead!
That flash drive wanted to play games. You obliged it Alex 😆
MUY BUENO TREMENDO QUE MAS PUEDO DESIR
Wish You all a happy new year❤❤❤❤
He lived through many Hiroshimas but still was able to have kids

The flash drive wanted to play games, so games were played
Masha Allah
Just found this channel, Great content man? What were you using to heat the board/solder when removing those components?
Esta arte do conhecimento e habilidade é fantasticamente prazeroso no sentido de quando conseguimos consertar algo nos faz abrir um sorriso no rosto.
Ótimo vídeo!
As I watch these videos I often wonder if sending something in for repair makes sense vs attempting the repair yourself. As an example I have a VR controller that has a joystick issue. The cost of the controller cost $250 new because you can only buy them in pairs but the component to repair it cost a few dollars. I bought a set of new ones, but for $250 it seems like a repair would be worth the attempt as I would have a spare set. It's probably not worth sending in for a professional to do due to cost though. I am a hobbyist so watching these videos is good for learning techniques, even if I don't have all the professional tools. Kinda hoping I can manage one component though...
How's your leg now Alex ??
Would be not much easyer if move (swap) the mem chips on a other new drive ?🤔🤔 But was a plesure to wach Your work , like allways.💖💖from Hungary.
ok question what would you recommend for beginners need the basic set just to reconnect things as a set and do you deliver to UK
Did you replace the shorting capacitor or not? Is it not needed? Why do they use it if not? Sorry if these are dumb questions :D
Was asking myself the same thing.
"the repair attempt looks worse than my twisers that fell on the floor..." .... lmfao..
You let the smoke out. That's what electronics run on
Alex, the value of capacitor? How do you determinate the value?
“ You should be smarter than this”……….Well said Alex.
Aww cute kid Alex
Its only me that is reading DIY letter on those 1 ohm resistor? 12:39
Good boy
hello ,woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow ! but I simply watch your video ! thanks for this video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
15:34 why red probe is in ground and measuring with negative can anyone tell...?
The times I had people bring me these at one of my old jobs. But my boss refused to buy me tools so I could do this work yet he would try to tell people we could do this work. -_- What i would have given for a good hot air station, solder station I had a good personal multi meter. Used to piss me off the amount Data recover places we sent out to would charge to F stuff up.
Do you sell that tweezer Soldering iron on your site? I was searching for it but didn't found on your site.
Which is that soldering tool for smd solder/desolder?
IMO that is proof a flash drive is not a good idea for important file storage. I have had name brand drives like that go bad, usually the controller. Burning to M-DISC or even a spinning drive is better, and cloud too of course.
17:04. We got it. 👍
"is worst than my tweezers"😂😂😂😂😂 poor little tweezer it had a hard life😂😂
👌👌👍👍
I made fried chicken for dinner. Thanks for the soldering class.
