I was in the arena at Wrestlemania 30 and I will never forget the utter shock and disbelieve when the ref counted to 3. These few seconds of silence without the theme playing. The confused looks. Did Undertaker forget to kick out, was he hurt, did they just botch the streak?
Then the graphics of the 21 - 1 on the screen. I still hear the "NOOOO" Scream of a fan a few rows back.
The theme of Lesnar playing, people debating that there must have gone something wrong.
Everybody in disbelieves.
The women afterward were in the worst spot imaginable. Nobody was able to pay attention. I saw people cry and I saw angry people. Nobody could believe it.
So just for an experience of emotions, it was absolutely worth it.
For everything else not so much I guess
I will still go out on the ledge and say this. Taker was supposed to win that match.
The only reason it changed was because of the concussion. Everyone says it differently in interviews because they donât want the end of the streak to be remembered as a mistake and last min change on the spot. Thatâs my opinion of it.
Instead, as the shock it was.
I'm just glad they had the graphic there incase he did lose for whatever reason
Zzzzzzzzzz.......
@@red6605 Dude, that's not an opinion. That's just falseđ
"I know everyone has confirmed that it was the original plan, but I don't like it so I say it wasn't".
I was 12, and WM 30 on PPV was my birthday present. What a shitty present that ended up being. I was inconsolable lmao. But Iâll never forget that moment.
Iâm shocked that Mickie James âGrabbingâ Trish Stratus at Mania 22 isnât on the list. The company edited the spot out of their DVD releases
It was controversial but it was still in the mid-2000's. DX were making the Vince Loves Cock jokes and burying the Spirit Squad with shit...
Crotch claw followed by the lewd V lick gesture which was more what pissed Vince off as he already was getting heat from gladd over the angle and yep right after the feud was cut off and Mickie quickly was steered face with no one to fight and the divas didn't get a high profile again until after the RA era
Agree id put that over a few of these and is the biggest snub...very little else
Ok
That moment was awesome. Micky james is one of the sexiest womens wrestlers of all time
@@jacksonloram7887 issue was Gladd was on the warpath and already was in mcdivitt's face with threats after the embarassing Billy and Chuck swerve
And as cool as it was Physco lesbian is a stereotype and was seen as edgy
That said the lewd gesture was more bad communication imho
Trish loved it and thought it would get the feud over for a longer if not small ppv main level rematch
Mickie added the v lick (the crotch claw and the spot where Mickie pawed trishs breast to shock Trish out of a tie up im certain were planned) Mickie added the v in her own words thinking Vince would love it
He ripped em both a new one and Trish retired at summerslam and Mickie turned face then retired Lita )
leaving it bare till Beth Phoenix showed up
And the divas really didn't get another big push until laycool and that was cuz of the Taker
I was there to see Daniel Bryan's 18-second burial, still angers me to this day.
But at least things worked out for him at the end.
Yea but hey then again like he talked about a while back that it was ground zero for the yes moment and things could've slightly changed IF Daniel won the title
Blame Aj Lee for kissing him lol
@@dylanthebiguy he did?
@@zanethind yea i think it was in his EVERY WRESTLEMANIA MATCH EVER ranking video (before wrestlemania 37 and 38 happen) and he said it when he mention about the Bryan vs sheamus match at WM 28

Holy crap 3 mins of a 13 min video. Wtf
It claps for commercials. Someone come retrieve your drone.
I'm still pissed about the Booker T thing. God, I cannot believe they did that to him
Is he really that good? I only remember him from WCW. He never impressed me.
It's pretty outdated but booker had to be ok with it I feel he had too much pride to just take that. He knew it would create heat, we all know he's got the mind he has his own promotion. Just how I hope it was because no one should be that disrespected without a say
I didn't get that scene. What was it about?
Itâs hilarious đđđ
Of all of WWE's biggest flub ups, I will never in my life understand why booker t didn't go over on WrestleMania.
If I had to guess, it was Triple H politicking backstage.
@@StNowhere that's the most obvious, or Vince not thinking booker could be the face of the company, somebody not wanting a WCW guy in that spot. Or, what I really think, the results got out, so it was changed last minute because wrestling has to be unpredictable
@@seanchan4478 but Stone Cold and HHH were WCE guys
@@seand7042 good point but neither one of them of the face of WCW. Booker was in WCW during the Monday Night Wars. Vince was sticking it to anyone associated with WCW at that time who was still there when he bought the company.
@@eldonpedro0818 the match should've been at least close. If Booker was gonna lose, it would've been better if HHH was bleeding, exhausted, and countered a bookend or scissor kick to pedigree him.
For the piper painting there was a storyline behind it
Cause of the kilt brown claimed that piper was dressed half man (top) half woman (kilt as if it's a skirt) even brown refered it as a skirt ) wish drove piper to do this saying that he is half man half woman according to brown so now he will also be half black
If I recall correctly
Damn I thought it was war paint gone wrong or something
Pretty sure your right
Paint wouldn't wash off either đ€Ł
@@dublinbrummie it dependof the paint

Am I the only one that Loved Austin's 2001 heel run?
I need to beat you Rock.
One of the most shocking heel turns ever.
There really couldn't be two top babyfaces for the company.
One of them had to turn and Austin was the right call
2001 Heel Austin was the most consistently good thing that year. Such a great character and really necessary, I think you might have started to see the same lukewarm reactions that The Rock was getting in late 2001-2003 (before his hollywood heel turn).
I think that kind of thing would go over a lot better today than it did at the time. The problem was that no one wanted to boo Austin. These days that's fine, it's 100% okay to cheer heels, but we weren't quite there yet in 2001. So it wasn't that the storyline was bad or anything, it just wasn't how fans wanted to engage with the product at the time.
I loved it, sadistic and hilarious
Nah man. It was great. It allowed him more creative freedom. Him beating up JR and Michael cole was ruthless. He had great matches with taker, Benoit, Jericho, angle. His comedy with kurt angle was unbelievable!
The thing about Seth cashing in on both Roman and Brock to win the title via pinning Roman is that it was last minute call made during the match Vince and the creative team realized they were in-between a rock and a hard place as people wanted to see Brock's title reign end but they didn't want Roman to walk out victorious with the title.
Say what you want about wrestlemania 9 , but that Roman theme was one of the best ever arena designs !!!
had a feeling Brock would end it, especially since they put in a "Defeat/Defend the streak" modes in the game the previous year
I'm sure I read somewhere that Piper was unable to wash the black paint off and had to go to the hotel (and airport) looking like that.
André the Giant actually flushed away Roddys cleaning solution and replaced it with water
I heard Piper say that about Andre playing a trick on him about the solution.
Lmfao
3:47 Vince McMahon must've really liked Roddy Piper and Bret Hart if he let them go scott free
Steve Austin was irl pissed off when Brock gave the fans the bird
What makes Wrestlemania 9 even worse is that the bell never actually rang to make the Hogan vs Yoko match official. Even Taker says he would have rather lost the streak to Roman than Brock because it would have put more legitimacy on Roman.
Taker and Brock are friend so it makes sense he'd drop it to Lesnar
@@EssexAggiegrad2011 make sense when you write and NOOO brock wasnt the right choice
@@vampirascoffin870 To Taker he was
Brock Lesnar ending the streak made no sense. By that time, Brock was a part time "special attraction" in WWE and didn't need the win. His legacy was already secure. Undertaker losing to someone like Roman Reigns would have made more sense and given Roman more legitimacy.
@@stevegallo8483 "Streaks are meant to be broken" - Undertaker
You know, if Paul Heyman calls the cops, he doesn't dial 911. He dials 211! đđ€Ł
The feud between Hogan and Slaughter continued straight after Wrestlemania when Slaughter threw a fireball in Hogan's face backstage , then UK Rampge 1991 and then kept going until SummerSlam 1991 in the Match Made in Hell handicap match .
To this day, I will always call the streakâs end âThe What Heard Around the Worldâ.
Good Saturday evening and great video post. Great back stories and timeline of sequence. As you mentioned, the late Allen Coage (Bad News Allen, Bad News Brown) was not impressed with WrestleMania VI nor Rowdy Roddy Piper. Also, you left out something the the late Rowdy Roddy Piper covered himself on his "Born To Controversy: Rowdy Roddy Piper" DVD. A typical wrestling prank was played on him after the match to where he couldn't get that black dye off of him. A prank alleged to have been played on him by the late Andre The Giant and Arnold Skaaland. Going back to Allen Coage, he's given some of the best "shoot interviews" I have ever seen. The writing or whatever you want to call it with WrestleMania XVIIII between Triple H and Booker T was shameful. Not so much for the script changes and duplicity that is Vince McMahon. For the horrible bigotry, arrogance and stereotypes that were espoused were beneath the dignity of everyone. You missed another big controversy from WrestleMania XXII with Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus. Where Mickie was playing into Lesbian troupes and "grabbed her crotch" several times during that match. Infuriating VKM in gorilla position.
That thumbnail is CRAZY đ
My problem with 21-1 is that it should have been someone else. Could you imagine if Roman Reigns won it and then went into the Tribal Chief/Head of the Table gimmick?
Tribal people were made to be conquered.
It would make sense saying that they have matches fire prior to that
@@codygames5415 tell that to the christian missionaries who tried to make contact with tribes and got butchered like an animal. The people who righteously scalped many invaders. Sure eventually they went down but they brought infinite suffering to the colonizers and the system they created is ironically collapsing all around the world as late stage capitalism takes effect
Another Piper moment from Wrestlemania 2 during a promo interview he said of Mr T "Never will I paint myself black and shave my head like an Indian " I don't know if this was on DVD but it certainly was on the VHS release .
Racist Roddy Piper might be my new favorite racist wrestler.
How about Hogan getting booed for two straight nights as Wrestlemania co-host?
Undertaker should've never lost his streak. And especially to Lesnar of all people, someone who was already made. If Undertaker were to lose his streak it should've been against someone who actually needed the moment.
i would've loved for it to of been Kane, or have Mick Foley have one last match
Brock became the ultimate endlevel boss after this win
I always felt Orton should have ended it not Brock
I'm not really bothered by most of the stuff on this list besides Hogan screwing Yokozuna out of the championship and Undertaker losing to Lesnar. These two things should never have happened, and yeah the streak should've been ended by someone else
Disco Inferno For The Hall Of Fame or maybe Alex Wright
Please AJ hazard or bam Nealy
Disco Inferno should never be considered for any wrestling hall of fame
Naw why not psycho sid he deserves it
You're pushing for this on the wrong channel
Disco Inferno is a good pick but I was thinking more of Dean Malenko instead
Roddy Piper at least called the body paint the single biggest mistake in his entire career.
Why was it a mistake?
There is an argument against black face emulating minstrel shows. But there was 0 minstrel shows where some guy had black paint covering half his face and body, and the other half unpainted. Roddy Piper did something different
@@bobbinsthethird Because Andre the Giant and Arnold Skaaland poured the removal solution down the drain and reokaced it with water, as a joke.
Piper couldn't get the paint off for days.
No BS, I'm loving the commercials/sponsored bits in these videos. They're entertaining and it makes me happy to see the revenue coming through for some worthy, hard working guys!

"a large Samoan contingent"
I dunno if it's because I'm a bit chunky myself, but I couldn't help but have a giggle at the assumedly inadvertent timing of that.
Takers streak ending didnât go down the right way, I think it shouldâve been a fresher talent to end his streak or it shouldnât have happened at all.
#1 is definitely a no-brainer
thanks!
In hindsight,
Hulkmania has done just as bad as good for both WWF/E and WCW.

Happy you guys are getting more sponsors
Regarding WrestleMania 30...
Whenever Paul Heyman does his Q&A/story telling performances and is asked directly about the match, he responds with, "Let me just say this. Do you think ANYBODY tells Brock Lesnar what to do?" He then states that Lesnar said (after the match) "What they gonna do? Fire me?"
What's that supposed to mean
What made the 18-second match worse is that Daniel and Sheamus were taken off the main WM card the previous year, and they had a stunning match at Extreme Rules the following month. Very disrespectful to both guys. As for the Streak, either it should have never been broken, or someone other than Brock should have broken it. I think it should have been Roman or Bray Wyatt.
Take a shot everytime he says "Nordvpn"
3:41 "Both Ric Flair and the Macho Man were docked $5,000 for going into business for themselves..." I never knew two opponents could "go into business" for themselves together by doing something for the fans.
Because it increased their star power in a way that was unapproved by the powers that be.
@@MandalorianRevan bleeding isn't "going into business for yourself" I'm tired if these wannabes using wrestling terms in a completely wrong context

Undertaker should've retired After Wrestlemania 29 with the Streak 21-0 Retiring Undefeated.
At Wrestlemania 28 would have been more fitting. A nice and round 20-0, End of an Era in one of the greatest Hell in a Cell matches of all time.
Agreed
@@TakerKaneanite619 that would've also worked
I personally stand by Punk ending the streak at Mania, being the 1 in 20-1
I wholeheartedly agree
Still canât believe what they did to Booker
Could you do Top 10 Best Jeff Hardy Matches?
I'm a thousand percent happy that Miro AKA formerly Rusev no longer works for WWE nowadays. Could you imagine with the character they had in betraying back in the day in today's climate with the war with Russia and the Ukraine. It would be the Muhammad versus The undertaker situation again or the Sergeant slaughter versus hulk Hogan situation again. Neither of those options are good in today's at all.
Happy Rusev Day!
First thing that comes to mind is the fabulous moolah Battle Royal
There needs to be another Gimmick Battle Royal @ Wrestlemania
Get Marc and Pete from WrestleMe on Straight To Hell
Worst about #5 is that 2/3 falls match sheamus and bryan they had was great.
How many times does Vince screw Bret. Think about it. He really really hated him.
WM9, the Nash, Taker, HBK storyline, the Montreal Screw job, the worked screwjob. I mean c'mon... The people that say Bret screwed Bret are morons. The dude was smart & saw it coming a mile away & even though he tried to protect his spot like so many before him - he still got screwed despite being the best at what he did.
Its apparent he didn't like the Hart brothers.
How about WWE having a show WWE confidential. Where they played Lex Luger calling 911 when Elizabeth died ?
Disrespectful and I donât think they even put her in the Hall of Fame either
good video
The Undertaker losing is still to this day an unimaginable bad decision by Vince. Brock didnât need that rub at all if anything it cemented even more hate for him. Taker was never going to let the streak go on forever he was always going to go lose at some point but the Wrestlemania loss should of been his last match with him going out on his back.
I'd be really curious why the decision for the 18 second win by shamus..was it supposed to look like a "shoot fight" where one just happens to starch the other quick?
I was at WM to see Daniel Bryanâs loss, and after the initial shock, I feel like I was the only one who thought âThat makes total senseââŠit created a sense of surprise the rest of the event that anything could happen, and I feel like wrestling fans forget Bryan was playing an arrogant heel at the time who deserved comeuppance. If it wasnât for the sympathy for Bryan after, I donât think we wouldâve gotten rise of D-Bry that year had a match actually taken placeâŠso it kinda worked.
I agree they do forget. I was happy to see him lose. I hated him so much at the time. Great heel work.
Your ad reads are the polar opposite of Jay Foreman's, but they are equally entertaining
Always thumbs up from me here đ€Ł
2:46 start your welcome
I really wish they kept takers streak alive
That doesn't work for me brother!
One of the major reasons I dont watch the WWE is the Triple H vs Booker T storyline. If you want to know how WWE views its black champions, just watch that fued.
Booker wasn't a champion at the time, and did you just refuse to acknowledge Bobby's run? Or Booker's when he was King Booker?
Originally it was supposed to be Glacier who was going to end Takers streak but he sold his gimmick on Nitro if memory serves me.
Did Sika wanna see an arena get burned down? â cause knowing wrestling fans at the time thatâs probably what would happened
I actually stopped watching wrestling because of Wrestlemania 9, and did not return until the Attitude Era was underway. That finish, man... ugh.
Vince McMahon not paying Bad News Brown full for that match just added to the racial tentions. Also apparently Taker was supposed win that WM30 match but Brock Lesnar went into business for himself by beating him up so badly
Bro what, That Taker and brock part is ridiculous. So you're TRYING to say that they just so happened to have the 21-1 Graphic ready even though it was unplanned? Christ dude
Normally, I skip through ads. But, Adam reading a Nord VPN ad just feels right!
Oh no.
Fans were largely upset shows a picture of the crow clapping and cheering
To be fair to shamus you can knock Ben askren out in 4 seconds
Seriously considering Nord VPN
I didnât have a problem with Brock ending the Streak
The spiceâŠ. The spice melĂ nge
Of course WrestleMania needs the money, think about WWEâs shareholders!

At this point, i still can't believe anyone could have beaten the Streak. And i'm serious
I wanted Raid Shadow Legends !
Dong forget Nicholas Streak
1 _ 0
Is the end of The Streak #1?
Edit: I knew it.
Undertaker should have lost his streak, to........nobody. His last match should have been a triple threat match against Kane, and Mankind. There should have been a beautiful tribute to Paul Bearer, and the whole thing should have been two legends putting over another legend. Closing the chapters on all of their careers. It's a shame William Moody couldn't be alive to be Paul Bearer, but I'm working with the cards that would have been dealt.
2:45
No ? needed for the Piper entry.
It would be INFINITELY worse if Bad News Brown got 3/5ths of Piper's payout.
if he got less than that, then legitimately Vince treats his wrestlers worse than slaves
Wow
Nord VPN comes up in 80% of all videos I watch on CZcams
Should the streak have been broken?
Let's see if that's on the list đ
And it was đ
You can skip to the 2:50 mark to avoid the unnecessarily long, annoying commercial
The channel is awesome, but it must be said, 2 minutes of sponsor in a 14 minute video, is like, a lot
Sheamus beat bryan in 18 seconds thats ridiculous but shocking
Ric flair got in trouble
Booker t should of won the title at wrestlemania
Smh when Stave hit Rock I cried and đ€ź irl đ€Šââïž
this is gonna sound weird, but if you ask me, Piperâs stunt shows the âDuality Of Manâ ideaology.

Brock became the new undertaker for wrestle mania due to the longevity the undertaker couldnât now provide
Hogan bladed at Wrestlemania 7 against Slaughter , so did King Kong Bundy at Wrestlemania 2 when he fought Hogan why didn't anyone say anything about those matches ?
That was before the blade ban.
@@tomforbes7562 Can you tell me when blading was banned because we saw a lot of it during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras ?
Sheamus > Bryan
Undertaker shouldâve retired undefeated!!!!!
It was Takers decision to have Brock go over, so if you wanna be mad at anyone, be mad at him
The man that should have ended the Undertaker's WrestleMania streak is Sting!!
Nah, nobody would benefit from that
(But it does sound kinda cool)
Man I know there wasn't a lot of wrestling opportunities at that point outside of WWE but Booker really deserved better.
I can't help but feel like most men would have left after being treated the way that Booker was.
They would make it right by him later but booking him in a story against the racist and having the racist win.
Could you imagine if they made a movie like that people would be up in arms trying to cancel that movie as it would make the racist seem like he was in the right.
They wouldnt be "cancelling" the movie. Racists "winning" is basically the plot for GET OUT.
What was queried is what the payoff is meant to actually be on a storyline. with the HHH storyline All that build up, for the racist to succeed and then forgotten about, is a poor conclusion delivered, and tie that in with WWe and "bullying initiatives", and all it does is make Booker T look like a foolish loser instead of a top babyface.
It comes across as a Vince last minute refusal to push Booker T as world champion, which then makes it not a story line, but the whole truth
Looking back the way Brock is now... I think he was the right guy. Back then ... I HATED IT. It's one of the few positions I've changed my mind on. Brock's character smartly uses it as a power boost to clean house when he needs to. Because he ended the streak you legit think he can end anyone anytime anywhere. No matter how strongly they are booked which is why I think he will end Roman Reigns.
While I can understand that view, I personally can't agree with it. Brock could have a good gimmick, only if he consistently shows up, but given how inconsistent his appearances usually are he isn't really a good character.
Him beating the streak wasn't necessary to him being booked as a monster. Destroying Cena would have been enough, destroying people like Orton or Triple H would have been enough. Beating the Undertaker for what makes him famous in the grand scheme didn't need to happen and really doesn't impact him now. Most of the time people don't remember him as the guy who beat the streak they remember him as the guy who has spontaneous returns, steals titles from deserving stars, and then vanishes with them.
@@skylightsblade9468 I'll counter that with what Corny says & I'm not a Corny mark (I agree with him about 66% of the time) but how can we miss you if you won't go away? I sort of like him being away. His matches aren't deep. He is fairly 1 dimensionnal. He needs to go away to get over.
