CZcamsrs that focuses on a certain category like.. cooking/farming/niche categories are a great avenue for advertising. instead of paying for a traditional ad-spot on tv that doesnt focus on a specific target audience, you literally have a person with X thousand active subscribers/watchers that are your direct audience all bundled together for your convenience. ontop of that you can weed through multiple channels to better find where your ad will fit best. for a small upcoming business looking to advertise and get their name out, CZcams is a surprisingly good spot.
Realising that "they went full Kanye" is going to be an expression going forward made me smile.

Asmond reacts to Linus tech tips review on star forge, whom made efforts to buy it anonymously and I was surprised how well it went for such a new company, they might be who I look into whenever I go to upgrade, but I’ve got a minute before I care to honestly. Just has sounded refreshingly nice when I’ve heard about them and that seems rare in itself. Especially with the microscope of everyone involved being very public faces.

Tidal is HUGE if you want audiophile level, lossless music. They have a whole section for Dolby atmos mastered music. I love it. The selection isn't bad, and they actually pay the artists well. It's not cheap but it's THE place to go if you care about, and have the equipment to play, high quality music sources.

6:18 Good example of this is MKBHD, who just dropped $40,000 to buy a first-gen iPhone for the sake of making a 13 minute unboxing video. He has 2.3 million views on this video. Which sounds like a good number.... until you realize that he has 2.4 million views on another recent video where he just sits there for 12 minutes talking about AI chatbots.
He has other ventures though like his merch and auto focus and his podcast. plus he's affiliated with multiple other channels that 40,000 dollars spent on that video probably payed for itself in other ways bringing eyes to his other ventures and then some.

@17:30 , I’ve had BoA take $20 from my account for that reason, and then hit me with a $35 overcharge fee because it made my account negative. I didn’t know this had happened, so when I went to cash my check later that week, it was at -$60 because if you don’t pay the overdraft fee in the first night, they hit you with a second overdraft fee 😂😂 I’m so glad I’ve walked away from banks like that.

You can differentiate products by certain classifications and they do have specific statistically significant behaviors attached to them. Most influencer products are either convenience products or informed purchases, which can be fairly low in rational engagement but high in emotional engagement. Something like a PC is probably somewhere in the middle. Then products are usually marketed to specific demographics (Sinus-Milieus, age groups etc.). Branding itself has a lot to do with association and perception, so perception can very much influence purchasing behavior because your blackbox will make different associations with a product after good or bad publicity.
As for why influencer products are so volatile, I recommend looking at the strategy model by Hambrick and Fredrickson. Also obviously anything and everything to do with behavioral economics (Barry Schwartz, Kahnemann & Tversky, Richard Thaler etc.)

I ended up switching banks to chase which has been great for far because our local bank got bought out by a out of state company and introduced a maint. fee on top of the already existing service fee. the maint fee was $15 and the service fee was $10 a month so 25 dollars just to give them your money. Chase has a free but is void with direct deposit.

I happily buy some celebrity products, that I know are affiliated with them. But I purposefully avoid influencer products in stores if I dislike or don't recognize the person. Like prime.

I deliver beer and energy/hydration drinks in midwest USA. Prime is extremely hard to keep on the shelfs and whenever we get a delivery in at the warehouse it is all gone in a couple days. Its insane.

You literally made 2 opposing arguments in this single video. You first said how anything over like $50-100 people are going to be analyzing and researching the product and as such it is harder to sell to them so you need to have a genuinely good product. Then when it came to beats you then insinuated that people spend upwards of $300 on headphones just because. Even though beats being overpriced bass simulators has been common knowledge for years now. You had it right the first time. You don't need to be "terminally online" to take advantage of the wealth of easily accessible information available to everyone when researching a large purchase.

The most successful influencer businesses are the ones where there was already an existing, usually successful, business and the influencer is just a pretty mascot. They might give input, but have had no part in the actual production.

The cards he’s talking about aren’t actual bank accounts. It’s an alternative to bank accounts because most folks can’t get a bank account because they screwed up and are on Chex systems. If you wrote ONE bad check you end up on Chex systems and if you’re on that NO ACCOUNT so people use Amex bluebird, go card or something else and they fee you out the a$$.
I used to work for the FDIC and out of everything I’ve seen around crypto is the best alternative to a bank account and especially to one of these “bank” accounts that allow you to deposit cash on their cards and then they fee you to death. Crypto doesn’t do that. And that’s why lawmakers and banks are finally starting to go after crypto because they realized the way they do business is threatened with crypto. Why else do you have lawmakers going after them.

Just hit over 2.5k subs. Over the 2 years I worked on YT, I spent about $600. But, $400 of that was Adobe which also helped with my photography business which made about 3 K in 2 years. Well, after being monetized, I've made all the money I spent on YT back and more. SOMETIMES, spending money is worth it, if you are putting the tools you bought to work.

Essentially, they were more purchased as a fashion accessory, not people purchasing a better listening experience.

Chris Porter said it well, we use to make tools for regular everyday people and if you were too stupid to know how to use it or if you used it incorrectly and got hurt, that was natural selection as far as the market was concerned. The problem is there are so many stupid people out there now, just look at all those warning labels on everything, but they have become a marketing demographic. It is great for entrepreneurs but bad for society. It started slowly with crap like bottled water in areas with no shortage of clean water then went on to things such as The Pet Rock.
This is the world we live in. Your ability to profit is limited only by your imagination. I ordered lootcrates for 2 years and sold off lootcrate collectables from them I didn't want to keep while going to school, dumb little toys basically, I might not even have had any rights to resell them legally. I don't know, never had a problem, never bothered to look it up, no one came after me when I put the profit on my taxes. It is what it is. There is a market for almost anything, if you are not making money, you need to expand your mind.
