I always liked Melo every since he came in the league. I was even more happy that he signed wit my Knicks. He is very underrated.
The Knicks are 75-115 with Melo the past 3 years. They are 9-51 without him.
9-51 is on pace for a 12 win season. The hate that this man gets is ridiculous, and now 2k gives him an 84 overall. Bradley Beal and his teammate Porzingis get 87 overalls. Porzingis wasn't even better than Melo and they played on the same team! This hate is ridiculous, and this will go down as one of the biggest unjust sabotages of a players reputation done by the media that I can remember.
LongJohn Silverthorne couldn't have said it better my friend.The man was vilified by fans and media who ignored the scrubs this God forsaken mngt surrounded him with and made him a pariah while other stars got praised for running to loaded squads and taking the easy way out.Glad some true fans see what's going on.

Yo I am a knicks fan, and this hit my feels. I feel so bad for Melo, for his hate and Phil Jacksons treatment of him, he is a great player and is going through alot.
NBA ruined Melo cause they didn't like his knucklehead ways when he came in and they could never let that shit go no matter how much he matured. From the moment he came in with those braids and tattoos they didn't like him. It didn't help that he appeared in that stop snitching video with dudes from his hood. It also didn't help when he was involved in that fight with Mardy Collins at the garden while he was in Denver. Things like that all added up to the point where the league had enough and they quietly went after him. It went from "who's better Lebron or Melo"? to "let's just push push push Lebron cause Melo's image hurts the league" and that's exactly what happened. BUILD BUILD BUILD LEBRON, CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH MELO. He became a target by the league. No foul calls, techs for no reason, constant criticisms on his game etc. Heading to NYC only made shit worse for him cause now he's in a bigger spotlight, in a bigger market on more nationally televised games which only ended up exposing the bias in a much bigger platform than in Denver. What's worse, is that because he's so talented, being in the East makes him a direct threat to the big bad king James' dominance of the Eastern Conference the league worked so hard to create. They can't have that. You know what had to happen. TAKE HIM OUT. That year Melo lead the Knicks to the Eastern Conference semi-finals when it looked like they were in the best position to compete with Miami, the refs went NUTS with the foul calls in that Indiana series including a 46-17 FT differential in that 6th game. From that point forward shit just went way more downhill for him. Look at how now all he's known for is negative things like "he plays no d, he's a cancer, he's a ball hog, he's one dimensional, doesn't get deep into the playoffs" etc All things that can easily be said about SO MANY other superstars in the league but just AREN'T. Why do you think that is?!? Anyone who's been paying close close attention to his career can see that Melo is a victim of behind the scenes shunning which is sad. I believe wholeheartedly that Melo is one of the greatest players we'll ever see and had he gotten just a little respect by the refs and got A FEW superstar calls his teams would win more games. Unfortunately the league knows that too. I'm sorry but some of these Knicks teams are too talented to not even make the playoffs. It's so obvious there's something else going on.

You're not lying either about the LeBron and Melo spinoff because from the jump people (myself included) felt like Melo had a better rookie campaign than James. Through it all he's still dropping 62 and 50's at the end of the day you can't do anything but respect his game. Regardless of who wants him to fail at being a champion in the NBA he's damn sure in the HOF
Respect brother. Melo definitely should've won rookie of the year how he literally transformed that Denver team from one of the worst into an instant playoff team. In the West mind you. Meanwhile Lebron missed the playoffs completely his rookie season. I'm sorry but what Melo did was way more impressive that year than what Lebron did.
On another note, it's Interesting how you point out Melo dropping 62 and 50's. Notice how he does it too. Mid range jumpers and threes. One thing i've noticed about his game is that driving into the paint hasn't been much of an option for him lately cause the refs took that away. See how defenders all crash on him inside with no calls? Alot of these so called superstars get those calls. People don't take into consideration the impact that not getting calls can have. Where would James Harden be without those calls he gets? He gets to the stripe what? 15 times a game? Or even Kevin Durant. Imagine if defenders can be as aggressive as they wanted with you? That's the world Melo lives in. Has to earn every single god damn point the fuckin super hard way. When he scored 62, how may free throws did he have? But look at when Harden scores 30. Fifteen of them shits are at the stripe and how do people talk about Harden? MVP all day. It never fails to amaze me how the league, the media etc can create a narrative about someone that completely contradicts the eye test and people like sheep jump on it. Melo is that dude. Fuck the "advanced metrics" and bullshit stats people bring up to convince us he sucks. I know what I see. He's a fucking legend and all this hate has made me wanna support him more than any other athlete in history.
Doogie Man I always said that if Melo was to get foul calls like Harden does Melo would lead the league in points damn near every year! Look at his post game he kind of had to stray away from that because they hardly called fouls for him and lets not forget Melo taking that Denver team to the Western Conference Finals were the faced that Lakers team they even went up on them, but you know Kobe is Kobe lmao, but ya Melo is nice and always have been hopefully he shines on this OKC team

What a superb video! It really made me contemplate on his career. Melo is my favorite player, but the guy didn't have a lot of help since he came to NY (except the year when Jason Kidd played there before his retirement). Looking back at the last 3 years... man it was a tough environment to play in. He lost his joy of playing ball. He really deserves to play with better teammates and not be the only option on a team. I really think that things can work out for him if he goes to Houston or Cleveland. Wish him nothing but the best! He really deserves it.

you guys have been saying that knicks ruin his career, but actually in 2014 he have a chance to redeem himself, he can sign to the bulls to play with derrick rose or he can sign to other teams but he ended up resigning the knicks. i love carmelo, he is one of my favourite player in the nba but seeing him resigning to the knicks is just... sad to see. now he is in okc, they are struggling so far rn, but seeing them defeating the warriors twice really made my day, i really hope the okc can make it to the finals and win a champ. btw good vid tho

A "mixtape" in this mini-movie wouldn't please what I was going for! I wanted to create a moody video with few highlights and lots of emotional footage. I can understand where you are coming from, but my channel has developed into more than just your "regular" mixtape-source . Melo far better off coming to the Rockets. Houston is 10 times a better city than Ohio. The 4th largest. He'll be on a squad far superior than what the Cavs got right now.
Harden/CP3/Melo is far better than Bron/Melo/Love....and that's with Kyrie being traded. The Cavs probably won't advance to the 2nd round this season if Kyrie is traded so, that means no trip to the Finals.
With the Rockets, we poised to get to the Finals. We'll just have to get through the Warriors, first. And that's where Melo comes in. That's why we going after him so hard because we know Melo with the Rockets is a bigger threat to the Warriors than Melo with a weak Cavs team that couldn't beat the Warriors while at their best.
