GREAT WORK!! I was addicted to alcohol. And I taught people how to find other ways of happiness. Maximillian Kolbe IS the patron saint for addicts, political prisoners, etc. I don't know if I am on my way to becoming a saint, but I prayed for somebody to quit a substance and after twenty one years they put it away and they haven't touched it for 6 months now. I know Maximillian Kolbe is with me! ❤

I was just in Nagasaki. On the very last day there, I went to his monastery. I allowed the Holy Spirit to lead me. I only had 2 hours before I had to leave for the airport. I thought I had got on the wrong tram but I got on the faster one. I walked along the side of the road near a steep hill and I saw a sign in Japanese that said “rurudo” ( Lourdes) . I walked up steep stairs and got to a peaceful place with a replica of the Lourdes grotto. It was 8 am and no one but the Japanese caretaker was there, sweeping the grounds. He started talking to me and told me stories about Nagasaki , the faithful there , and his trip to Poland. There is a tiny piece of St Kolbe’s hair there at the monastery. His body was burned, but a small relic remains in Japan. I am a convert from Japan and a member of the Militia Immaculata.
You become a member by consecrating yourself to Mary (according to the method of St. Max, if you like) and then officially registering. You can call them too and ask for their literature, including the prayer of consecration.
Our 22 year old son was named for St. Maximilian Kolbe. He is so far from God and the Church. He suffers from very dark and deep depression, anger and anxiety. Hr comes home for Christmas soon. I'm 23 with anxiety problems as well. Been medicated for two years and i was an atheist since i was 16 until some months ago. One day, when I was feeling a lot of physical pain from panic attacks my mom said that maybe that this was a call. Then i started thinking, there is imposible to be no God. I was as lost as possible. My mom never stopped praying for me. Earlier this week I had the pleasure of calling my mom and telling her I went to confession and received communion, and that I've returned to my Catholic faith. I've never experienced my mom expressing the joy she did when I told her. It will be a memory dear to me for the rest of my life. She prayed for me daily for 25 years. Never give up!

I wanted to share this with you Gabi - I was just watching your episode on Pints With Aquinas yesterday - I had to pause it right after you discussed the Petersons’ interview and the Maximilian Kolbe video you made - I paused your interview because I was actually rushing out of the house to stop by Eucharistic Adoration before an appointment. It was my first time going to adoration at this church, and I nervously just chose a random place to sit and pray. After a while in prayer I opened my eyes and noticed the stained glass window that I happened to sit next to - it was a large image of St Maximilian Kolbe. I had to laugh to myself, the Lord has such a good sense of humour. Snapped a quick photo on my phone so I’d remember to come watch this video. Not sure why the Lord is guiding me here at this time but I’m willing to listen! Thank you for all your amazing work 💫🤍

That will be my last rosary before sleep. 😴 I became Catholic because I was looking to die, and I wanted to be able to die well. I had lost all hope of life, because I was an atheist. To be brief, I had been raised a Calvinist, and I was convinced of their idea of a distant God who has predestined all things. However at university I easily transitioned the idea of this God into merely the forces of nature. So I became atheist. However after losing the Christian morality I was cast into deep despair 😩. I eventually began to drink too much and my life descended into hell. So I expected to die, but in my darkness I decided maybe the Catholic religion would tell me something new and different to give me a hope, different than what I had already known and discarded. Then at least I could die with a good feeling. And so I went to Mass and it was so beautiful. I realized there was something there I didn’t understand. Once that happened that’s when it was guaranteed I would convert. Because I was out of ideas, and nothing else I had seen so far was worthy of belief. Protestantism was not worthy of belief in my opinion then and now. It’s ugly and uncompelling to someone who is looking for the absolute best. And that’s what I was looking for. I could not believe in anything less. I believe in Jesus and Mary they are the best

Gabe, I saw you in a great interview on CZcams channel, " Pints with Aquinas". I am NOW a great follower of yours. I, truly, thought I was crazy thinking that our Immaculate Mother keeps visiting me. I am following your story because the same 2 powers have been engulfing me. One, the great Mother, and , unfortunately, the being with red feet. When I pray to your Lord, Jesus Christ, he keeps "pointing" to this mother for me to get very, very close to. I'm a healthy 55 and Mary is with me. I finally realized that Your great indicator was to do the Rosary. Everything makes sense now. But, I have to get a rosary today or the devil will keep me distracted again. The Holy Church gives us EVERYTHING we need for our Salvation: the sacraments, the teachings, the communion and prayers of the Saints, the Bible and above all a full knowledge of the person of Christ made freely accessible to all. Have you done the 33 day consecration to Mary that Saint Maximillan Kolby created? I believe it's on this channel. It's in his book called True Devotion to Mary. As a fellow broken person from losing my entire family by age 41 I felt strongly that this would help you. I did it years ago with a friend in Ireland who was dying from Parkinson's Disease while having twin girls age 8 and twin daughters age 13. She was the holiest most devout and loving Catholic Our Lady sent to me as a gift I will treasure forever. I was so Blessed to have her in my lite witnessing another Maximillan as she bore witness to Jesus through Mary until she was called home. Pray for her intercession Jane Kelly of Ireland s well, I have no doubt she is in Heaven. Remember that all your sufferings have unfathomable value if offered up to Jesus through Mary. That is why Jesus The God Man redeemed us through horrific sufferings. A life with no suffering merits little but you must unite your sufferings with those of our Lord for conversion of poor sinners or other intentions. Jesus and Mary are with you helping you each day you are not enduring this alone. I do this each day of my life Praying for you🙏

St Maximilian Kolbe really treated Our Blessed Mother like the queen she is. He truly was a “prisoner” for her. The pains of this world did nothing to stop this man from giving it all to her. And in return was rewarded with the greatest gift- her Son and Heaven. His story brings me to my knees. It brings me to tears. Very moving and inspiring to one's soul--a much needed boost during this time in which our leaders seem to have lost the Catholic faith entirely, instead opting for a worldly agenda, and not recognizing that in saints like Father Kolbe, we already have the narratives and the heroes needed for the rebirth of our faith--a faith that will be crowned with the ascent of Mary's victory over the world's current godless leaders and their unified evil agenda.

I am in Australia and at our parish we have a branch of Legion of Mary. We meet weekly and carry out various ‘duties’. The duties include proving communion to the sick (hospital, home) providing leadership in saying the Rosary at specific times and specific occasions, plus obligation days, helping whenever asked. The statue of Mother Mary is taken to a persons home when requested (there is a waiting list!) It is a fulfilling role to do. Peace be with you and keep safe in these times. 🙏🏻🙏🏻💕

Visited Auschwitz’s concentration camp last year and fervently prayed to be able to see St. Maximilian’s cell A very crowded constant flow of tourists and there was no time allowed for stopping - I saw a cell with fresh flowers and lighted candles and I felt that was his. Googled the cell of the saint and it was exactly as pictured. A great man with a great love for God and our lady.

Beautiful and inspiring. Special thanks to you, Gabriel, and you, Fr. Elias Mary, for such an inspiring visual summation of the life and charism of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe. One thing that deeply impressed me as a seminarian was an article St. Maximilian wrote about Our Lady of Lourdes. He noted that when St. Bernadette asked her, "Who are you?" that Our Lady responded, "I AM the Immaculate Conception." He connected that with what God spoke to Moses from the burning bush, "I AM who am." Then he demonstrated how both of these statements were self-revelations. Mary was revealing who she was in God's designs and God was revealing His Divine Essence to Moses and His people. The reason this article struck me so much was because the last recorded words of St. Maximilian on earth were in response to the Kommandant saying, "Who are you?" to which the Saint responded, "I AM a Catholic priest." He identified himself with Christ, the Great High Priest - he, like Christ, was a son of Mary and he, like Christ, was called to lay down his life for others. To me he reveals himself and what it means to be a Roman Catholic priest in those final words: "I AM a Catholic priest." It was a true self-revelation of who he was in God's designs. May he, in union with the Immaculata, intercede for myself and all of my brother priests that we might be perfectly conformed to the image of the Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

He died out of tuberculosis complications - phenol injections were applied to tbc patients. He survived fasting - another method to fight tbc those days. In a nutshell - man just died and they made him a saint.
@@gabiafterhours Yeah, it was our Polish old "national anthem" for a long long time, before we got our current one. It's a beautiful, powerful, religious song. It was sang before big battles in the medieval era, like before great battle of Grunwald in 1410.

Gabe, I saw you in a great interview on CZcams channel, " Pints with Aquinas". I am NOW a great follower of yours. I, truly, thought I was crazy thinking that our Immaculate Mother keeps visiting me. I am following your story because the same 2 powers have been engulfing me. One, the great Mother, and , unfortunately, the being with red feet. When I pray to your Lord, Jesus Christ, he keeps "pointing" to this mother for me to get very, very close to. I'm a healthy 55 and Mary is with me. I finally realized that Your great indicator was to do the Rosary. Everything makes sense now. But, I have to get a rosary today or the devil will keep me distracted again. @@simonjenkins1290 Yeah I was in awe watching a 10 min YT of a movie about father KLOBE I never heard of him to about 9 month’s ago . The bit in the movie when the SS guard looked in the peep hole their was Father KLOBE repeating the Hail Mary. I just feel them guard’s would have been in awe .

I believe it's on this channel. It's in his book called True Devotion to Mary. As a fellow broken person from losing my entire family by age 41 I felt strongly that this would help you. I did it years ago with a friend in Ireland who was dying from Parkinson's Disease while having twin girls age 8 and twin daughters age 13. She was the holiest most devout and loving Catholic Our Lady sent to me as a gift I will treasure forever. I was so Blessed to have her in my lite witnessing another Maximillan as she bore witness to Jesus through Mary until she was called home. Pray for her intercession Jane Kelly of Ireland s well, I have no doubt she is in Heaven.
Remember that all your sufferings have unfathomable value if offered up to Jesus through Mary. That is why Jesus The God Man redeemed us through horrific sufferings. A life with no suffering merits little but you must unite your sufferings with those of our Lord for conversion of poor sinners or other intentions. Jesus and Mary are with you helping you each day you are not enduring this alone. I do this each day of my life

St Maximilian Kolbe really treated Our Blessed Mother like the queen she is. He truly was a “prisoner” for her. The pains of this world did nothing to stop this man from giving it all to her. And in return was rewarded with the greatest gift- her Son and Heaven.

Gabriel, excellent documentary on our glorious saint, St. Kolbe. Very moving and inspiring to one's soul--a much needed boost during this time in which our leaders seem to have lost the Catholic faith entirely, instead opting for a worldly agenda, and not recognizing that in saints like Father Kolbe, we already have the narratives and the heroes needed for the rebirth of our faith--a faith that will be crowned with the ascent of Mary's victory over the world's current godless leaders and their unified evil agenda.

I am in Australia and at our parish we have a branch of Legion of Mary. We meet weekly and carry out various ‘duties’. The duties include proving communion to the sick (hospital, home) providing leadership in saying the Rosary at specific times and specific occasions, plus obligation days, helping whenever asked.
The statue of Mother Mary is taken to a persons home when requested (there is a waiting list!)
It is a fulfilling role to do.

Visited Auschwitz’s concentration camp last year and fervently prayed to be able to see St. Maximilian’s cell A very crowded constant flow of tourists and there was no time allowed for stopping - I saw a cell with fresh flowers and lighted candles and I felt that was his. Googled the cell of the saint and it was exactly as pictured. A great man with a great love for God and our lady.

Beautiful and inspiring. Special thanks to you, Gabriel, and you, Fr. Elias Mary, for such an inspiring visual summation of the life and charism of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe. One thing that deeply impressed me as a seminarian was an article St. Maximilian wrote about Our Lady of Lourdes. He noted that when St. Bernadette asked her, "Who are you?" that Our Lady responded, "I AM the Immaculate Conception." He connected that with what God spoke to Moses from the burning bush, "I AM who am." Then he demonstrated how both of these statements were self-revelations. Mary was revealing who she was in God's designs and God was revealing His Divine Essence to Moses and His people. The reason this article struck me so much was because the last recorded words of St. Maximilian on earth were in response to the Kommandant saying, "Who are you?" to which the Saint responded, "I AM a Catholic priest." He identified himself with Christ, the Great High Priest - he, like Christ, was a son of Mary and he, like Christ, was called to lay down his life for others. To me he reveals himself and what it means to be a Roman Catholic priest in those final words: "I AM a Catholic priest." It was a true self-revelation of who he was in God's designs. May he, in union with the Immaculata, intercede for myself and all of my brother priests that we might be perfectly conformed to the image of the Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

Saint Maximillian Kolbe is my Patron. I am glad I stopped here, as I am familiar some of his story, but I this video has given me details I never knew. It was Our Lady’s decision on where to place the Grounds at Nagasaki.
