- finally installing ac in my 97 c1500. I am using the dirty dingo street rod compressor kit. this is one of the best looking kits in my opinion it really sets the compressor close to the head and no wider.

The arrangement of your hoses that you had at 08:46 seemed ideal to me. If the hose to the condenser shifts, it'll only tighten the connection. I don't think it would move.
That bodged trans cooler is well done!
I have a 96 and wanna do the same do u have a list of all the parts we need to do this?
Yo anybody got the wiring figured out. I think it's just from the ac control to the ac switch to the compressor but I'm not sure

so how did you charge it without any ac service ports?
The low side is in the condenssor
@@boostedonabudget9018 no it's not. There might be a high side fitting on the condenser. The only 2 places you can have a low side port is either on the drier, or on the suction line that connects the drier to the compressor.
Bro i had to take off the grill not all models are the same specially for old trucks and aftermarket parts.
@@boostedonabudget9018 dude regardless of what vehicle you have the only place the refrigerant is under low pressure is in-between the evaporator in the dash, and the compressor. Every fitting on or near the condenser is on the high pressure side of the fitting. I honestly don't even know how you managed to charge it unless you have an ac machine sitting around.

Hey have you got the wiring figured out for the a/c. I have a 96 with the the same one wire compressor. And all originala/c wire in tack.
I still have not done it the whether got cold so i just hold off on that.
I think this would not fit on my truck acesories because my water pump hose is facing the compressor?

Did u buy a new dryer and condenser? Id so where did u get them? And since you hooked it up is it cooling good?
No used the same on i just by pass everything amd it does cool.

Cant remember but i think i did the same amount it call for from factory and it work fine

What serpentine belt do you have ? And also are you running an ls1 water pump with the spacers or without ?
i don't remember the exact size or part #. the water pump is the ls3 from a camaro and no spacers
Instead of removing the water pump I would have slotted the hole

the came off a 2012 sierra but had to hammer them.
What belt did you use ?
i measured and went to O'Reilly don't know the part #
Which headers are you running ?
got them from a 07 and up but do not recommend had to hammer them in 2 spots. got them free so it did no matter to me.
