I own the x2 and it's been very useful. Glad I didn't get the x3 as it didn't really have any major updates from the x2. Now the x4 is definitely worth the upgrade.
Overall informative preview. But I'd love to see low-light and night performance tests of the Insta360 X4. Bit disappointment in the lack of coverage on that part.

It looks amazing. I will save up for a year and get the next one they release. This is not sarcasm. I want one. I don't need it, but I enjoy making videos of nature. I get up before sunrise in the summer and go to some beautiful places nearby. I haven't looked up how much it costs. If anyone knows, is there a mid range one that is just as good/ nearly as good? There's potentially a bad batch of batteries. Mine was smouldering first charge out of the box, others are starting to post videos etc with similar situations.

@@stan0481 it depends on the budget. X4 has a better video quality and it’s visible even without any high level editing. It has better recording time, 10 m official waterproof. I cannot really compare as I didn’t end up buying x3 but I don’t regret buying x4 straight away. It’s awesome and making a lot of positive impression on everyone that I show it :).

8k, Slow-mo and ability to crop in there are a lot of unique skateboard clips that could be created.
Such as bearings and more could be set to slow mo for some really unique shot of

Fuck the camera I just purchased the x3 used than come to Find out the x4 was comin out so folks is sellin there full x3 set up at a steal so I jus got one of those I didn even know the x4 was gonna be a thing so soon I knew the other one jus released the new r series whatever it is but didn know the x4 was right behind it. So I’ll prolly wait till the x5 to upgrade one of my homies was saying if u already own a x3 jus wait that 8k isn much a difference since there isn much things that produce 8k natively but if u own a x2 or less than upgrade. Besides the cam tho love the whip in the background is that a legit gtr or gtt. That 8k is a sell point. They say the PlayStation and Xbox series x can play 8k but can it truely play 8k no there’s couple brands that do make 8k tv at multiple thousands of dollas. Linus tech proved this very expensive to get on the 8k level as of now till ppl find cheaper ways. Think about how much projectors tv were in the 2000 if u had a 65 inch plus u was ballin them bitchs was 3k plus back than now u can get a high tech 4K tv for less than a 1000
